  • The recent news that the Russo brothers are returning to direct the next two Avengers movies prompted us to speculate - can the guys behind some of Marvel's biggest hits hope to salvage the MCU or is it too little, too late?

      Film title "The Rise of Doctor Doom!" we get his origins story and then the NOT Avengers come to stop him from committing his plan, but instead of them being able to stop him, he beats them all, including Captain Marvel, with her, have a brainwashed Rouge, steal her powers and when she powerless, shove her off the edge off a cliff and let her fall to her demise but no magical stone is produced by her death!! The film main battle with Doctor Doom has his real plan revealed to the avengers and what his weapon can do, which is to tear open the multiverse, properly as he seeks to go back in time and prevent the accident that disfigured his face from happening, but he finds that its a fixed event and he cannot prevent it without breaking everything and guess what, he goes and breaks everything and causes a massive rift that pucks different verisons of various Marvel heroes from the Multiverse and they have to face a Doctor Doom who been impowered and gone totally insane as the power is in control! The only one who can stop Doctor Doom, is himself, AKA younger alterative verison who vows not to become like him and while the disfigurment is still going to happen, Doom doesn't try and prevent it from happening and vows that he will find a actual cure for it, thus the monster Doom, has nothing keeping it bound to existance and then Doctor Strange is able to seal the main rift, yet there are smaller rifts existing all over the world and as a result of the disaster, you have different verisons of the classic Marvel heroes and Mutants have appeared while Inhumans have vanished along with all of the fake Avengers who couldn't avenge anything!! The film ends with Doom sitting upon his throne to plot what to do next!

    They've dismantled the MCU just as much as they dismantled Star Wars.
    They could bring back Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man and and it wouldn't matter, because they've worked hard to smear shit all over our opinions of the old characters so we would settle with the new ones. And when that didn't work, they tried to call us racists and sexists to coerce us into liking them.
    Now we have a universe full of plot holes and with no narrative throughline because Kang got canned, populated by once-liked characters who have been humiliated, defamed and rewritten into incompetent idiots, and a host of new, unlikeable token-diversity Mary Sue-wannabe socio-politics-pandering hypocrites to replace them, written by people who frequently remind us, bkth verbally and in text, how they actively despise and hate the franchise, men and white people in general.
    At this point I'm actively avoiding Disney products just to spite the toxic writers, showrunners and political actors. My only interest in the corporation these days is seeing how they're self destructing and blaming people like me because they think they're entitled to my money and think they can insult me into giving it to them.

      @SleepyFen I feel much similar to you. Only way I see Mcu being much good again is if they make Hulk and Thor a lot cooler again, preferably Hulk more crazy strong and intimidating than they have shown him so far, bring back Steve Rogers, Tony Stark, Tchalla, get rid of all or most of these Young Avengers characters, either get rid of the character Captain Marvel, or replace it with a much more likeable actress, and if they want to have She-Hulk, have better cgi to make her look much more like the comics and have her actually be likeable like the comics. Last but not least stop making mediocre one off villains, If they did that, that would probably restore most of the people 's hope in the mcu.

    • @SleepyFen
      @SleepyFen 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @@keithpace9870 they can't and won't do any of that, though. Firstly because the actors probably don't see a point in returning to the sinking ship that already wrote their characters into the ground, and secondly because that would require firing all of the people who had a hand in making this mess in the first place. Hulk is the very embodiment of toxic masculinity to these people, so odds are we're not going to see him ever again unless he's getting humiliated and subdued by a strong female character.
      I don't think Disney can salvage the impression that people have of the current version of the MCU after they've spent half a decade smearing shit all over it and maliciously attacked their customers for complaining about it. They need to realize that they hired political activists who drove the most valuable movie IP in history into the ground for the sake of making political statements, and as long as those people continue to work at Disney, I can't and won't trust the brand to create good stories in good faith. They won't give us heroes except diverse Mary Sues who step on the necks of white men for their crimes of being white men.

    • @keithpace9870
      @keithpace9870 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @SleepyFen Honestly Marvel movies would be better off in my opinion If either never did them anymore or they were sold off to people who, know how to write good stories, are actual comic book fans that know these characters very well and who will refuse to work with anyone who will push for annoying Mary sues , changing characters gender, skin color, or doing any box checking garbage. People who don't have a reputation for doing what Marvel studios has done or Insomniac letting baby Inc be involved in Spider-man games and more recently in the development of a Wolverine game. People who know how to lay out a clear plan and give the best version of Hulk, Fantastic Four, X-men team and faithful adaptation, maybe an ultimates like newly improved mcu 2.0. A cinematic universe, where Peter Parker is an adult already married, Tony Stark and Steve have someone special in their lives, Fantastic Four exist with their own headquarters, Normon Osborn with Oscorp building, A cinematic world where characters like, Iron-man, Steve Rogers, Ant Man, Wasp, Hulk, Thor, Black Panther, Fantastic Four x-men mutants, Daredevil, Electra, Punisher, She-Hulk, Deadpool, Ghost Rider, Moon Knight, Spider-man 's rogue gallery, Kingpin, Bullseye, Memphisto, Killmonger, Abomination, the Mandarin, the Leader, Brotherhood of evil mutants and Dr. Doom all exist on the same earth and the heroes have stories that connects to another story. Like say Daredevil civilian identity works to bring Kingpin down and in prison only to have aid that breaks him out, and he is brought back in a Spider-man film where in it Spider-man faces off with different villains and they get recruited by Kingpin and Daredevil offers some aid to Spider-man and they bring the villains down or say a Spider-man story where he gets the symbiote and it helps him do incredible things then at some point you have maybe Parker goes to the Fantastic Four building only to find they are gone, then you have a Fantastic Four movie where at some point they leave the city or the planet where they end up dealing with some problem and they return and find Spider-man telling he has been trying to reach them since yesterday, and he has the symbiote on him, tying it to events in the Spider-man project.

Thor and Hulk are still pressing on beating a dead horse, just emasculated versions of what we knew, and I don’t care for a Thor 5 or ANY Hulk stand-alone after 14 yrs of this version.

    Snarkyjay is absolutely right. All the Avengers we care about are gone or neglected (where the HELL is my Doctor Strange 3? I CAN'T believe so much effort is being given to Kamala Khan over the Sorcerer Supreme) so even if RDJ is back, what does it matter when the rumored Avengers new line up (Kamala, She-Hulk, Shang Chi, lady Panther, Echo, Binary, Capt Marvel) is BORING and audiences arent into them.

      They really should’ve recast Black Panther. Yes it sucked Chadwick Boseman died, but that doesn’t mean they need to change the whole script. I think they should’ve recast Kang too (even though that story line may have been going to shiite).
      Imagine if Harry Potter just decided not to recast Dumbledore after Richard Harris died. They would have ruined the story.
      This is a massive issue with Disney though. They have an aversion to recasts. There’s really no good reason they haven’t recast Sebastian Stan as Luke Skywalker and found a new actress for Leia.

      Steve's ending didn't even make sense. He already moved on from Peggy when he said goodbye to her at her funeral. He accepted his place in the present in Age of Ultron. Would've made more sense for him to end up woth Sjaron Carter, since they teased that back in Civil War. Seems they'll just throw away character development whenever they feel like it because they don't know what else to do.
      And they completely ruined the character of Thor in Endgame. Thor 4 just continued what Endgame set up

    WB can't do a TV show with Batman as the protagonist, because the TV rights of the character for live action are with Disney now, that's why the Adam West TV series is not on WB's platforms. That's also the reason why, in series like Gotham and Titans, they couldn't showcase Batman directly.
