Lifestyles that ensure people won't have children. Interesting... why? Well the global elites have been trying to tackle the "overpopulation" problem for decades. These people use words not the same way as you an me do. Their diverse doesn't mean the same as when we use diverse. In their lingo diverse means non-white, it's double speak to hide their own racism. It is why it is impossible to talk to these people. • @teqfreak
      @teqfreak หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@DavidByrden1 Thank you too! Asking them to define the words would be a very good idea. Sadly it rarely happends. Very often with mainstream channels the journalists are part of the in-group as well and already radicalised, which stops their critical thinking. And when more skeptical journalists do it, it often leads to rage or a word salad (ask them to define gender, a man, a woman, diversity, equity, inclusion) from the person questioned.
      All those words and many more have a specific meaning within the dogma that is different from what common people use.
      In that regard this whole “critical theory” / “identity politics” dogma has a lot in common with religious fundamentalism. And you’ll get the same reactions as with religious fundamentalism (unlike with moderates).
      Since it is new we should spread awareness of this. I think most normal/ neutral people will disagree with the ideas these people propose. But since the double and different meaning of the words they use (which all sound nice) people tend to go along. Most people are nice and empathic and like to help and please their fellow humans, which is exactly what this exploits.
      Everything is designed to exclude the majority in a certain spectrum. Black Lives Matter suggests everybody else doesn’t. LGBTQ+ is an abbreviation to exclude straight people. BIPOC, in the USA means everybody except white people. In Europe BIPOC it isn’t used of course since Europeans are the I (indigenous) in Europe.
      James Lindsay makes a convincing case that “critical theory/ identity politics” is communism for the west. I really recommend it, he explains it very eloquently. He has a speech for the EU parliament, a bit under half an hour. It summarizes a lot.

    Do take note how when Drinker is asked about "woke" agenda he doesn't take the obvious slam dunk but rather brings up much more complex issue than just "woke = bad." Unlike what the...uh... certain part of the public, let's call them, tries to smear him as? I've seen and heard people just box him as another right wing commentator. This man is so passionate about cinematography as a form of art it's mindblowing.

    It's rather amazing how much of an impact Disney has had making these movies to warp people perceptions in the subject of "representation" and how much they have now, when very little is needed to remind them and SHOW them that it's always been there. I'll never forget a moment I had working in a theater when the 1st Black Panther debuted. I was tearing tickets for people coming in (WE SOLD OUT), and a dude walked up, wearing this all black with gold trim ensemble with a gold chain necklace around his neck. He told me "Man, it feels awesome to finally have a black super hero in a comic book movie, ya know!?"
    I didn't even bat an eye and I just said "Blade."
    "What?"
    "BLADE? The Day Walker??? Bad ass vampire hunter!? He had a whole trilogy of movies! Including BEING a Marvel Super Hero for decades?"
    "........oh."

    The problem is what they stated... they think DEI is a substitute for good writing.
    They would rather hire a diverse cast and give them a bad script... rather than make a good script and then give it to a diverse cast.
    It sounds crazy when spoken out loud, but the Disney defender said that they needed more DEI and the poor quality in writing wasn't the issue.
    Which ironically sounds more racist as it claims that diverse people shouldn't be given good scripts.

    No, it is not, and it never WAS "fatigue". If there was such fatigue then Deadpool and Wolverine would not be the MASSIVE success that it was.

    • @dudemcfurgusson7179
      @dudemcfurgusson7179 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If it was fatigue, Deadpool and Spiderman wouldn't have made anywhere near as much money as they did.
      And I don't even think the new deadpool movie was that good. It was basically nothing but a string of "hey, remember this character? Weren't they cool?" with a couple good wolverine character moments sprinkled in.
      But that movie still made more than any other marvel project in years because it wasn't the same woke bullshit they've been shitting down the pipeline nonstop.
      I don't think it deserved as much as it made, but I understand why it did. People are so starved for something that isn't absolute dogshit that they'll settle for a bare minimum of mediocrity.

    Also keep in mind that most Disney films are SPECIFICALLY marketed to children. So having divisive political messaging comes across at attempts of indoctrinating innocent kids to bend to their ideas, which parents hate. And hyper sexuality and the promotion of sexual topics feels not only indoctrinating but also inappropriate and obscene. Parents don’t want to subject their children to this kind of nonsense, even less than they want to be subjected to it themselves.

You can have a “diverse” cast or a strong female lead and still make great movie. And we have tons of examples like Alien, Black Panther, and the original Star Wars trilogy just to name a few. But instead of having a good story first they only care about checking the boxes of DEI. And yes a lot of people don’t want to see “the message” but if it’s a great movie people will still go see it even if it has “the message”.

    Honestly, this may sound odd, but one of the biggest things which has killed Disney, the movie industry, etc. is that they have been willing to *UNDERVALUE* Digital content. You can watch all the movies you want with a 15$ subscription. That has totally GUTTED the post-box office money trail of the movie industry. Prior to the rise of digital, most movies - even really good movies - only broke even or made modest gains. It was the post-theatre sales that lead to profitability. I don't know how they fix that now. Also, movie timetables have accelerated too much. Scripts and screenplays aren't in a finished state, VFX are being ordered last minute at emergency $$ rates. Reshoots and re-doing special effects have become common place.

As Drinker and Nerdrotic continue to say, it is not that there are diverse characters, the problem is changing the characters that have been popular for decades to a very divers fandom, and very poor story telling and changing everything that created fans in the first place. Creating new and original characters that are different can work if the story telling and art are good. Poor writers don't want to hear their stories are garbage. Their pride leads them to believe they can do no wrong.
