I wanted to grab a set of the hyrax tires for my UDR, and but probably Mount them on the stock method Wheels. I couldn't imagine having to put those pieces in the tire and then screw 32 screws on top of that it must take about four weeks to mount the set a tires
Awesome! Love the UDR! Hyrax tires are awesome! I use them as snow tires on my Gen 8! LOL! When you parked it on it's side the first thing I thought of was Ace Ventura "Like a glove!" LOL!

You changed the spare tires too. With the added weight of the v. rims, does make a difference in driving.

Nice video as usual. One question, would these fit on an Arrma Kraton/Senton? Could be a nive choice for making a fully independent suspension rock racer 🙂
you can drill out the hole and use them on a normal 17mm hex setup.
The other thing, you try a lot of stuff and I am sure you learned plenty through that. I have an E-Revo converted from the crappy VXL-Sytem to a Max 6 on the original 2200KV motor altough the manual says 1650KV max.
Would it be better to change to a Max 8? Would the Max 6 overheat on 6S at full speed due to the higher KV's?
Can the v2 rims work with stock tires and paddle tires cuz I’m thinking of getting these but if these rims only work with the hyrax I’ll just buy v1 rims

@@ExocagedRC no I have the rc4wd raceline beadlocks now. Will be getting a set of these. Wanted to see if those helped them on the rc4wd wheels or not. Only had 1 bead pop out so far.
1:44 that Is the easy part. Need to know how to get in that part cause in just try to get the hyras in the vitavon and honestly I can't do
The first versions like shown here are not easy to mount up, the second versions with the machined in tabs are much easier.
So how can I go to pull the tires to the back of the vitavon wheels

Do you notice a difference in the run time versus stuck with all the Aluminum stuff on it
Yes, and they also create more heat. They look more scale, drive more scale, and keep the truck planted, but the extra weight causes too many jumping issues and takes away from performance IMO. If you are bashing and sending your vehicle off jumps that aren’t scale, you don’t want your vehicle to drive scale if that makes sense.
Know of a link to somewhere that sells the tire inserts or do you have the 3D file so I can print my own?
I think so, somewhere, but I had to cut them apart and put them in one at a time.

yeah, just have to drill out the center hole and they go right on, Vitavon may be making a set specifically for the Mojave soon.

The upgrades seem to help with durability but aren't required IMO
What is the chances that you know someone with arrma mojave that you could do a comparison with the UDR?
The Mohave is a short course truck dressed up as a trophy truck, whereas the UDR is an actual trophy truck replica. What’s the difference? The Mohave is designed to perform better around tight turns and the UDR is designed to perform better on high speed straights with lots of bumps. The UDR is also much more scale.
I mounted a set of bfg baja tires on the older set of vitavon beadlocks and it took me fucking hours. But worth it. The rims look awesome. I had noticed Lofton went to silver rims on his fox truck as well. #AHBEEF
Does anyone know of actually 17mm hex 1/8 wheels that these tires fit on?
You can do that by using HPI Savage flux wheelnuts. They have a big flange on them that fits perfectly
@@ExocagedRC I want wheels/rims that can mount that tire that accept standard 17mm 1/8 hexs, that u thread a NUT on the outside of the wheel/rim.
martin suro yeah you can do that with the Vitavon wheels I show for the UDR. You will have to open up the hole for them to go right on.
The Vitavon Tires are to expensive for me.

Guy thoese wheels are not meant for the hyrax tires thoese are for any other 2.2/3.0 tire. Vitavon makes a wheel with nubs made only for the hyrax tire. You need to buy the other vitavon wheels. They are made to go into the cut out.slots in the tire lol.
I have those as well, This is one of his first wheels for the UDR.
