    Nice, may be my next fork. I am still using the rockshox 35 gold, I have 2 of them and they are working for me but always have an eye out for the next upgrade. Thanks for the video! I hear the brake noise, lol. I am currently dealing with noise from the rear brake as the pads and rotor became contaminated when i did a full bleed, my fault, lol

      The 36 is on sale for 495$ online at planet cyclery. That's where I got mine from. Makes the bike feel and react so much better. Definitely something to consider for sure. Thanks for watching the video and hope you have a great day!

    Great video, very enjoyable to watch! I just got a new bike, the AT2024, my first bike since getting back into biking. I went all out and got everything I wanted. However, it came with the Fit 4 Damper on the Fox 38s, 170mm LSR top and bottom, with the 3-switch compression (fully open, medium, and closed). It's quite stiff, but I've been riding shocks all my life until an accident, and to be honest, I'm very impressed with how the Fit 4 Damper is tuned! I will be looking to get the new X or X2 Damper at some point, though. I think it's good enough for what I need it to do right now! There's still a lot of adjustment in the Fit 4; it's quite impressive. My friend at the track has the Grip 2 Damper, and he's always getting that set up, same with the Float X. I might swap mine for an X2, but it's a brand-new bike. I've already gotten rid of the carbon bars and 50mm stem in favor of a 35mm Burgtec high-rise 38s. It feels a lot better! Already I think the low 25mm bars I was to far over the front on them feels made for the bikenthese burgtec bars so given these ago this summer and see what's next!

      @@mikemtbs make sense.... i'm 160lbs and working on set the same fork (F36 factory 2021 vvc) @ 160mm travel , and i agree with you about lsr ( i read online that increase lsr increase compression, so the trick for less harsh feeling is to use lsr as open as you can) , so i'm : 75/77 psi , one token, lsr 12 / hsr 5 / lsc 12 / hsc fully open or just one clik from wide open. This is where i landed for the moment... not sure it's perfect yet
      I even tryed lsr all open and compensate a bit with more lsc....and seems to work... very less harsh feeling on the small/medium chatter

    What was the outside temperature during the test?

    • @mikemtbs
      @mikemtbs  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      40 degrees f. I know pressure drops w temperature. So I’d imagine if it was hotter I’d add have a few more psi

      @@mikemtbs Yes, but I was curious about the temperature cause on a grip 3 pos Performance fork I struggled to hav good traction ans smooth work under 5 degress Celsius, 40F is 4.4C degrees, so quite "cold" and judging by the video it worked quite well.
      I sold my fork a couple days ago and bough a brand new 2023 160 Fox 36 with Grip2, very keen on trying it out :) We have similiar temperatures nowadays in Hungary.

      @marzocchidj3 ok very cool… literally. I felt like I had very good traction when using the fork. Try not to go above 20% sag and the fork works best
