    I wanted to address some of the main comments we have received on this video.
    Re-griping this pistol:
    This was the first time I had fired the pistol and I was just trying to adjust my grip between shots until I found my correct grip with it. You will notice in the close up videos that were shot later in the day I wasn’t doing it anymore because I had found my correct grip for this pistol. Many people will do this with new pistols, you will see people like Tim from the Military Arms channel do it at times with new pistols also. Thanks for watching!
    Gun that Matched the watch:
    I agree this was a silly comment and should have been edited out. It was a long day of filming really didn’t think it was that big of a deal. It makes more since for me because I primarily open carry. But it was kind of a silly comment.

    • @jeffperry2262
      @jeffperry2262 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, that was a silly comment. If you are dressed really “dressy”, you should be carrying a P938 Blackwood or SAS! 😀

    • @MartyBugg
      @MartyBugg 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I support your right to open carry but think that decision is sillier than the accessory comment. Limits your options in a deadly situation where you may need to choose your reaction and timiing.

    I've had the manual safety, (Mass Compliant) version of the P365 for 2 years now. Although I have shot it less than I would have liked due to the ammo shortage, the gun has been completely flawless. No defects, no failures of any kind with brass case, steel case, hollow point, and plus P ammo. It's accurate, easy to conceal, and does everything you need in an EDC gun.

    Great review, thank you. I waited almost two years to buy my P365. Mine was manufactured January 2019. 400 rounds through it and zero issues. I shoot 124 grain, the recoil is very controllable, even with the short 10 round magazine, and this small gun is very accurate. For conceal, it’s my favorite all around handgun, and it’s very comfortable to carry all day.

Eats everything I've thrown at it, including my own reloads, ball ammo, hollow points and critical defense rounds. 12 + 1 with extended or 10 + 1 flush mag, what's not to like. Shoots POA and POI! I just think it's a bad habit he has. I don't think I'm a better shooter or anything. I just never developed that habit. There are a ways of unlearning it but first you have to be made aware that you're doing it because some people don't actually realize that they do it.

    • @tacticaltuner4217
      @tacticaltuner4217  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You are correct it is a bad habit. I have large hands and it was the first time I ever shot these small pistols. When getting used to a subcompact I will re-grip at first until I find the right grip and hand pressure for these guns. I release my hand to reset my grip until I find the grip that work to control the pistol with out over pressure in the hands. Very small guns with thin small grip are easy to over grip when you have big hands. The Guy from Military Arms Channel does the same thing at first.

    I bought my P365 a few days ago loved it, except the rear sight. The rear dovetail was loose so that the rear sight would just slide back and forth. Very disappointed that they QA missed this called them they sent me a shipping label and I mailed it out to repair. My P938 had to be mailed back for repair when I bought it be because the extended magazine would drop out of mag well when shooting. I will probably keep my 365 but I might be done buying sig after this. Don’t like having to mail everything I buy for repair as soon as I buy it.

    I bought a P365 in November/2018. No issues whatsoever. I had heard of the issues mentioned and pretty much waited until they had some time to deal with it. I learned that any P365 manufactured after July/2018 was good to go so I decided to buy one. I was looking at both the P365 and the Glock 43. The extra capacity sealed the deal. I bought some of the 12 round mags and that gave me 13 rounds before a mag swap vs. 7.

The P365 has turned out to be even better than I've expected. I like this pistol for those times when something smaller is needed for concealment to compliment my primary edc the P320 compact.

    My wife and I each have one. Born on dates in May, 2020. 700-800 rounds through each with no problems. I check a few of the primers each time at the range and so far no sign of primer drag. We got a couple of their “Tac-Pacs” that came with 3-12 round mags and a holster. Previously a Glock guy and I still love them, but I retired my G19 for concealed carry. I also put a manual safety on the one I carry. I’m just not comfortable without some sort of trigger safety.

    I haven't had the best experience with mine. I bought it brand new at the start of July, so it was the very latest version with the external thumb safety. I had multiple FTEs and a few light strikes. I sent it in and, wow, they shot a whole 40 rounds through it and replaced the recoil spring. When I got it back, I still had FTEs, no light strikes, but started having FTRB failures. So, I sent it back a second time and I just got it back to day. This time, they replaced the entire slide and fired 150rds through it. I haven't shot it again myself yet, so we'll see. Jury's still out on this one. The only good thing I'll say is they have VERY fast turnaround service. Both times, it was only a week door to door.

    My P365 had a born-on dat of April 2018 ("gen 2"). I never had a single malfunction with it but I did notice quite a bit of peening around the barrel hood. I called Sig and they asked me to send them photos. I did and I had a return authorization emailed to me within 2 hours of me sending the pics. Two weeks later I got my gun back and everything had been replaced except the grip. Barrel, slide, striker - in short, all internals as well. Basically a new gun was returned to me. Quite drastic for just a peening issue... Anyway, I no longer own it and I do have a video up on it. Thanks for the video and cheers.

Read what he said- no problems so far in 1,000 rounds, which rules out all the previous 'problems' you p365 bashers like to allude to, except the possibility of a broken striker or unhooked trigger return spring that would result in a dead trigger.
      Those two problems were VASTLY exaggerated by people like you, Sig owned the issues, and resolved them back in June 2018. But many of the p365s made before June have been fine as well. Time to grow up, act like an adult, and stop trolling videos of products you don't like.

      Now you are over here putting out more strange opinions like:

      Bro you do know many problem can & do occur after at 500, 1000, 2000, 3000, etc rounds right.

      @@sweetcostarica I'm a Sig fan, so by definition I can't be guilty of trolling Sig videos. It's only trolling or stalking when the commenter doesn't like the product in the video- like you coming here to bash! As for the sales data I quoted, they're month to month sales numbers AND the totals for the year- so far neither the g43x or 48 have been in the top five for the first three months of this year, while both the p365 and p320 have. The p365 started shipping in Jan 2018- far from the two years you wrongly claim, and it wasn't even in full production until May or June of 2018.
      You made the mistake when you said "*many* P365 problems..."- it was a mistake because there were never 'many', and because the problems would've been when the gun was new, and not after 1,000 rounds. The exception to that would be the small possibility of a broken striker or unhooked trigger return spring causing a dead trigger. Those other p365 problems you alluded to always show up when the gun is new and first fired- not after 1,000 rounds.
      You should learn the actual facts at SigForum, DefensiveCarry, or SigTalk, instead of relying on YT for your gun info. Also, grow up, have some dignity, and quit trolling p365 videos!

    I looked at one at a gun shop today and noticed how gigantic it makes my S&W Shield G2 look and it has more ammo capacity. What I’m happy about is that it’s not a DAO it’s more like a Glock trigger something that was keeping me from wanting it. I must have one.

    • @EastCoastMan603
      @EastCoastMan603 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Keith Whisman all striker fired sidearms are “dao”. The p365 has essentially the same trigger mechanism as any Glock.

    • @keithwhisman
      @keithwhisman 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      C.E. VIII I’m mostly referring to the long heavy trigger pull and long reset of DAO pistols that cock the hammer back and release the hammer as the trigger is pressed. I like to refer to the glock style trigger as well Glock style trigger as it has a small amount of take up and then boom it fires with a short reset of the trigger. So there is a huge difference as DAO triggers mostly resemble the trigger of double action only revolvers and Glocks are not. I used to own a Sig P250 that had a really smooth but really heavy DAO revolver like trigger that for me was hard to hit my target with as regardless of how carefully I pressed the trigger and how well I gripped my pistol I’d consistently pull the muzzle way down.
      Long story short, I know my shit and I know what I’m talking about haha.

I wrote sig an email requesting that they replace the above and they pretty much told me not to worry about it. Since this is to be my new carry gun, I do worry about it. I then wrote a second email to sig offering to return the gun and have them replace the trigger bar spring and firing pin at my own expense and they refused this as well. That really surprised me, since it was going to be my dime. I then sent a third email asking if I could buy the parts from them and then hire a gunsmith to do the work. They said yes. It’s called primer drag because the resetting the next bullet is so fast that it cant get the ejected shell out fast enough, but the bottom line is the ammunition thats out there doesn’t flash as fast as the gun fires and ejects so the fix for most are try better ammunition so we tried it and the primer drag was nil then, I have shot probably shot a 1000 rounds and not a issue and for for the last eight months i have owned mine not a single problem also my triggers pulls at 5.5 pounds and is getting better as i shoot it more the other i bought i gave to my son also again not any issues, to be honest with you i have bought and own just about every brand of small hand gun out there I guess to try and find the very best concealed hand gun made plus i just love to shoot and this little fella sold me with the magazine the amount it can hold for such a small pistol as it is, 12 rounds vs 6 rounds in a gun fight might be your life so we need every advantage we can get, i have heard the Remington has put a great little concealment pistol out but i yet to see it, but once again i cant say enough about joe my little brother that hangs out under my belly as i carry appendix and its perfect for that carry spot. That being said, many parts in firearms wear out sooner or later, including firing pins (I can't tell you how many of those I've replaced, just in general), and pretty much any other small moving part. Use it enough, it'll eventually break. Personally, unless more data comes in on this being an issue, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just keep your shit maintained, as per the norm.

    I just bought a Sig P365, 2 days ago, on October 30, 2019. I ordered 2 blue label Gen 5 MOS Glocks. A G19 with factory Ameriglo night sights and a G45 with factory Ameriglo night sights.
    I had seen a few videos on the P365, and the shop I go to, had a few in stock. I buy all of my firearms from The James Madison Gun Shop, in Brush, Colorado. The owner is a super cool guy, is very honest and has some of the very best pricing around. In many situations, he is even cheaper than many online stores.
    Due to my job, I am able to purchase blue label firearms. The shop owner had some blue label P365’s in stock, with factory night sights. My Sig was manufactured in January of 2019. Hopefully, it will not have any of the same issues older P365’s had.
    The only issues I have observed with my P365, is the takedown lever is very stiff and is almost impossible to get it to move. My other issue is with both magazines. The rounds don’t want to eject. Even manually trying to remove them is difficult. I’m hoping both issues will go away in time though as the firearm breaks in and gets more use. I paid $445.00 for mine. From what I am seeing them selling for, that seemed like a good deal to me and so as a result, I pulled the trigger, (pun intended) and bought one. It’s my first Sig Sauer, and if I like it, I will go back and buy a P320 as well.

      Jason Ralston Little trick to get the rounds out of the mag...press down on the end of the round, primer side. Release and thumb them out. I had the same problem, but figured this out and I can unload one in like 5 seconds now.

    The review on the newer or revised version is needed. The upgrades like with any engineering project should have happened but sales & marketing push products out too quickly. I am a retired engineer, now a goat rancher. My goats are smarter than many marketing folks that I worked with.
    The comments by users have even more value because users bought one on their own dime & are more straightforward than most gun writers. I always lean toward user comments.
    Other issues not discussed but are obvious are its size. It is small for a purpose. It is designed to be carried comfortably and carried a lot while not necessarily shot shot a lot. One writer who did a 2000 round & a 4000 round test whined about the grip and mag changes. His gripes would have carried over to my Kahr MK9 too. This is life with a compact/micro pistol. The small size results in trade offs.
    As a combat soldier, ammo capacity is important. Despite statistics, my. real life experience is that bad things happen quickly. Having more ammo in the weapon is a necessity. Larger ammo capacity is a force multiplier for users. Also carrying a spare magazine makes sense simply because bad unexpected events do not fit a statical model.
    This pistol with its small size (and trade offs ), appear to match my requirements.
    My comparison is my Kahr MK9. Size is close, reliability seems fixed, good accuracy, better sights, & more ammo capacity.
    These advantages impress me.
    I’m open to comments if I’m mistaken. 😎

      You make some real good points. I agree. My thought ms have always been if the gun isn’t comfortable to most people wont actually carry it daily. So the gun has to be comfortable. The gun has to be reliable, carry the gun with the highest capacity that you can comfortably carry, next carry the gun with the longest site radius that you can comfortable carry.
      I think body type plays a big roll in what gun to chose for EDC.
      Thanks for the info and perspective. Will give viewers something to think about. Thanks for watching.

      Great comments. First off, it is a personal dream to have a farm/ranch with goats!
      Second, I agree that smaller guns will have trade offs. If someone wanted more purchase/grip area with similar capacity there is always the Taurus G2C.

    I have not committed myself to getting a striker fired firearm from Sig. However, I own and love the P200 series, 1911s, and MPXs. I've never had an issue with any of those Sig products.

    • @bikeracerdude

      If you get the real facts about Sig's striker fired pistols, from an objective place like Sig Talk or Defensive Carry where both good and bad are talked about rationally, and ignore the huge amount of BS on YT, you'll learn that Sig's striker pistols are very reliable and just all around great pistols. YT is an echo chamber for lies and massive exaggerations against the p365 and p320- mainly because it's anonymous for the commenters and often monetized for the video makers.

    P365 is a great gun. Feels great in the hand with extended mag and still small enough for pocket or fanny pack. Is very accurate and love the night sights. Get one in the hand and take to range, I have carried MP Shield Gen 1 and have looked at the 2.0 and still like the P365 better!!

    I just picked up a January 2019 P365 today. I tear my new guns down before shooting, and I immediately noticed that the strike spring is much shorter than what I’ve seen on older models. According to the people on SigTalk, Sig has switched to a shorter striker spring, and it reduces or eliminates light primer strikes. Sig wants the pistol back if you’d like the shorter spring, and won’t sell it to the consumer.
