Ive been in his position with a 4x4 for a big trip with friends (Aus). NOTHING went our way with that car, people supplying us wrong parts, sized/breaking studs, all sorts of mess and just couldnt put it on the road for a 3000km 4x4 trip. We have a good laugh about it now, chin up fella .... it. makes the next trip THAT much sweeter!

I feel like the current bmw designers should go to this museum. They’d learn a lot I feel like.
The moment I saw Taylor got to Belgium and a wheel came off it my heart sank and I shed a tear. The effort and sacrifices everyone made is beyond words. This just proves what kind of gentlemen they all are and how passionate (is not strong enough of a word) they are about cars and what they do.
Oh gosh poor Taylor can't catch a break, that wheel incident looked terrifying.
I can't imagine how much that would've affected the car, it looked like it locked up which might have been for the better rather than it free wheeling.

I think this is the best quality video you guys have put out. It felt like i was watching an oldschool Top Gear episode with Clarkson, Hammond and May. I thoroughly enjoyed watching you guys driving around Germany and Poland. You lot have something magical going on with the work and content that you put out. I'm gutted the trip for Taylor wasn't as good as it was for the rest. Keep it up lads!

Watching this on a TV and the quality of the filming, the audio and editing makes it feel like I'm watching a high end budget TV show. Probably on par, if not better than Top Gear. Absolutely great work!
This trip has genuinely made me feel the same excitement I used to get as a kid waiting for 8pm on a Sunday for top gear to start. Please keep doing these kinds of trips they’re absolutely fantastic. A massive Thankyou to everyone involved in making this.

We took old citroen xsara with 240k miles last week for trip around europe. Did 4500 miles in 8 days and then blew a radiator while boarding ferry back lol.
The BMW museum is a fascinating place to visit, and I’m not a BMW fan. I took part in The Italian Job Run back in 1997 and we stopped as guests of BMW in Munich. Still have a photo somewhere of 120+ Minis parked outside. Managed to get a tour of their Research and Development department too. This would be when they took over Rover/Land Rover and were developing their own 4x4 systems.

@@the_og_rubenmartin It may well have been riding on the bump stops by the time it got there (hydro-gas system failure), but if he didn‘t floor it on the Autobahn, them it most likely would have made it. We often underestimate older vehicles, but they tend to die slowly, gradually getting weaker and slower rather than their modern day counterparts, which will refuse to turn over even if the plug for a sensor if slightly knocked in it‘s socket…

Kudos to Lisa at the BMW museum & Tom with his beautiful Jag. I'm not a BMW fan as in Australia they are stupidly expensive, even 2nd hand. Parts, well yeah, expensive. The BMW museum I would be spending a week in it. The lads just proved to me that BMW's are worse to maintain than the Chinese vehicles that people are buying here. Poor Taylor though, a ton of bad luck that he didn't deserve. Hopefully we'll get other marques on the channel other than BMW.

@@PandaDiesel11 Never buy a 2nd hand BMW in Australia. You pay through the nose for them for starters. Parts/trim prices are disgustingly high. I've had mates who have owned various Beamers over the years & every single one of them has had 2nd or 3rd mortgages on them. Plus I'd get phone calls to pick them up cos they've broken down somewhere. I'll stick to my Holden utes.

Thank you for this cross Europe drive! I can really get into it as someone in the USA who really doesn't get to see much of this. Please do more of them!! Funny enough I was driving home in Orlando tonight and saw a minivan with a custom plate saying tavrs or something. I thought hmm is it his van? LOL No complaining about heat, we are Floridians, we can easily handle all of that stuff that Europe gets. Love your GTR shirt, I enjoyed the car before I sold it for my childhood dream (a plane). I've stopped this video half way through because I'm smiling so chuffing much I couldn't wait to the end to tell you lads how much I love this!!!! This is epic!!! The usual crew, Freddie, Tom and the odd Taylor cameo is just the bo**ocks. This is becoming Top Gear v2 but somehow still feels original and raw yet the production quality and editing is perfect. This was so damn good lads ! I thoroughly enjoy the long form videos as they're not only so well done, but you love every second of it.
I feel so incredibly bad for Taylor. He wanted to go so damn much but all the roadblocks along the way were absolutely gutting. Seeing his pride and joy make it to the show would've been absolutely beautiful.
Perhaps a drive through Spain, a ferry to Marrakech, and around the Atlas Mountains. Maybe in Mercs as a nod to the 116s that're known for being nigh bulletproof in the centre of the continent.

I love that Freddie spends all of time in the U.K. with you guys and mat Armstrong’s group of guys as Freddy has more in common with you guys (shit boxes and just fun cars) than with all the other super famous American car channels. You see Freddie in yours and mats videos all the time and almost never see him in with the super rich who do cars we could never even think about. Says a lot about him I think.
Well he’s certainly unlikely to collab with American car TH-camrs for a while. CarTrek is unlikely to ever happen again.
