Excellent video. I stumbled upon this video right before I changed the fluid on my L2650. This helped a ton! Thanks so much!

If I could give two thumbs up I would have based on the comedy alone!👍👍

Hello good afternoon, Pedro from Portugal thank you for your time and effort in editing this video, I bought this same tractor and change the hidraulyc /transmicion oil but but I have no idea here is the eye level. Are you able to guide me. Many thamks

Portugal, nice! Should be by your left foot when sitting on the tractor. I hope your window is clearer then mine. I have a hard time seeing the level through the old window. I use a plastic zip tie as a dip stick to make sure I'm at least close.

Was watching a kubota engine oil change video, looked like a L2550 and his had 2 oil drain plugs. Being I’m pretty certain you said you did the oil change the day before on this video, do you remember if we have 2 drain plugs on the 2850?

I notice your gst transmission has 2 hydraulic filters mine only has 1. But I don’t have the GST transmission on my l2850

Bout to be buying a nice l2850 I’m not sure if it’s the same glide shift transmission or not. It has a 4 speed shifter up at the right hand area by the steering wheel. Hoping it’s the same so I can use this video. It’s a 1988 model.

Most Kubota tractors have a similar setup, so any L series video will at least be a little helpful.

Did your l2850 have 2 air filters or just 1? I was looking up the air filter for my l2850 and it shows only 1 filter and I thought it was a 2 filter setup. Like your primary air filter with like a sleeve filter that slid over it.

What are you using the hydraulic connectors for under the 2 filters ?

So what is that you had to remove to get those filters off?? I am going to do mine soon.

I'm not sure what you are referring to. The hood panel comes off to see them and below the filters is the hook up for the front end loader (which was off for the video).

@@sunnyhillfarmI had noticed some lines under my filter that looked like I may have to remove them to get my filter off. I didn’t see them in your video so thought maybe you had to remove them to get the filter off.
Mine doesn’t have a loader but it looks like my lines run closer to the filter area.

So the hydraulic and transmission are a combined same oil used unit??

    • @sunnyhillfarm
      @sunnyhillfarm  ปีที่แล้ว

Yes. Hydraulic and Transmission are the same oil held in the transmission case . UDT2 is expensive but is really good Kubota oil for Hydraulics/Transmission.

Would you know where the hydraulic screen filter would be on a L2500 DT. I recently purchased this lil tractor with a loader and a backhoe installed. The previous owner hadn't did any maintenance. He did change the oil about 5 times in 20 some years. I wanna get it in the best shape as possible so itll last me 5 or 10 years at my sawmill. Also would you know how much hydraulic fluid I'd need to do a change? Thanks for any help.

Try check on the left hand side of the transmission just behind the foot rest for a cap. I've heard they were there on some older tractors. Call Messicks, they are super helpful. You might want to order a new screen anyway.

It will be about 28liters, as I am right from my mind.

Hi Eric, thanks for the great vid. Wouldn't you mind shedding some light on the hydraulic- bloc. As far as I recognize, it seems to be the same as it is on my L2850D ( no GST). The ports on mine are plugged, apart from the tubes for the rear lifter. Could you tell, which kind of thread/adapter you screwed in the bloc for the T-adapter, which holds the quick- connectors for example. Is the upper-port for the pressure tube and the lower one for the return-pipe from the valve? Is there a third port for the tank- return pipe to be connected? I would appreciate any advice on this topic as the parts-list does not offer any dimensions or hints. Thanks in advance. Heinz, Germany.
