Your tractor is extraordinarily clean, I'm a student that's why I was learning from your video. Thanks Sir! In my country, people change oil when it turns black. 😅
Great to see a well taken care tractor. I just got a 231 pretty beat up and I'm working on it to get it as good looking as yours. Great video, good camera work.
Thanks for posting this vid. I've got a 240 myself (not as nice looking as yours yet) and need to service it. I recently changes the fuel filters and need to get everything else done too. I'll check out your other vids too.
That is awesome let me know if you have any questions about it. I have done a lot of work on mine in addition to videos I posted. Happy to help if I can.
It was the oil that the dealer recommended in place of OEM oil. It is much cheaper and they said it would work well. I will check the specs on it once I get home and post them here. Thanks for watching.
us.sparex.com/hydraulic-transmission-oil-5-gallons-28762.html This is a link to the oil I used. Again I got mine from my local MF dealer so I don’t know anything about this site other than they appear to be selling the same oil. Hope this info helps. Let me know.
Yeah it has a cover on it but still may not be the best idea. I almost never take it off and it has held up pretty well. Thanks for watching and commenting I really appreciate comments and and feedback.

by the manual you are supposed to clean the hydraulic filter when you change the tractor fluid. It is not fun, but it is important.
Pro tip: you can watch series at flixzone. Been using it for watching all kinds of movies lately.
@Solomon Beau yea, I have been using Flixzone for years myself =)
@Solomon Beau definitely, have been watching on flixzone for months myself =)

Did you not change the filter,or clean it. with all that watery oil ,seems that would be adviseable.
I have MF 235 38 horses 1979 Cheers from Poland
Thanks for watching and enjoy that 235.
@@robertclancyjr715 These are good tractors, you just need to take care of them
Why did you not change the oil filter??
What about swapping your transmission filter behind your pto cover?🇨🇦✌🏻
My massey starts , but when running brush cutter it will run for about 30 min then dies. Then won't start for a while
you did not wash the gearbox housing, because there was water in the oil, so a white emulsion was made
I noticed your tractor has el selector valve. Can you let me know what Lyon valve you have. The one I have is leaking really bad. Thanks
Where is the filter? I am having problems with my haudraulic s
Very helpful. I need to do this as well. Are the specs for 80w90 mineral?
What weight oil did you use?

Daz Paris us.sparex.com/hydraulic-transmission-oil-5-gallons-28762.html hope this helps
That would be the same way to change it in a 265 aswell
Yeah the 265 is very similar so should be about the same.
Good job, but not best idea to do it with smart watch on your wrist. :)
