Halfway on their way down, my friends encountered 2 young guys on their way up (probably tourists), wearing only t-shirt and jeans, and normal rubber shoes. My friends chatted them up asked "don't you guys have jackets at least, it's pretty cold up there!", and the guys said "it's fine, it's sunny and we'll be sweating from the exertion anyway". We are seeing how easy drones are being used in the Ukraine war...millions of drones being used. They couldn't use a dozen drones in Mt. Baldy?? Sounds strange to me. Also, every hiker should carry around mandatory flare packs. In case you get lost u can fire flares into the air to leave a distinct colored powder stain in the air and they'd find you easily again. What about starlink?? Just connect it to your phone and go to a higher elevation area and bam, you can be found easily.

She died doing what she liked. Braver than most of us, nothing is saddenig about her death
Braver ?? Nothing Braver about losing your life needlessly
it makes no sense why they couldn't find her easily with all the drone technology we have and how easy it is operate drones....you don't need helicopters, cost too much, too slow to organize it, but with drones, they could have just had like a dozen or so fly around with cameras and find her within a day easy.
Anyone remember the previous video where they interviewed her friend? She had a big smile on her face and told interviewers that her friend was okay, and that she was just lost. She really belived that she was going to either be found alive, or somehow find her own way back home. I wonder how she feels now that the news of her death has dropped.
Kids cannot comprehend death. Sad day.
always bring a satellite communicator if you're ever doing anything outdoors. once you get out of cell range you're in a lot of danger.
Condolences to her family
theres also a 40yr old hiker who passed away in my country with tropical weather. she`s a solo hiker. buddy buddy system is a must when hiking whatever the climate.
22 and BEAUTIFUL...damn. too soooon. wayyyy too soon. wtf was she doing ALONE???? Thats so tragic :( This is why I hate doing anything outdoors in the winter. I could NEVER. condolences to her fam and friends
REST IN PEACE BEAUTIFUL YOUNG GIRL CHEERS N HULAHULALUIA
Rip angel 🪦
May her soul rest in peace 🙏
SOLO??? WTF
Suicidal or just not very smart??
Stupidity
Seems like it was the latter..
callous аssholе оr just sociopathic?
we must all respect the weather
why and how? it wasn't like she was hiking in the wilderness with no path or obvious pathway to track back, these are known hiking paths, its odd to me that anyone can get lost on these paths
I've hiked Mt. Baldy many many times over the last 30 years, definitely not a place to go during the winter especially for novice hikers!
She had her phone...what happened... 💔💔💔
Prayers for her family
