Thanks, the bottom right screw was driving me nuts. Helped me add another 16gb ram so I can get 60fps on cyberpunk.

i wanted to know if its okay to take the big black sticker off the ram because these stickers make my fan really loud
I put another 16 to make 24, 16 is small for me. And I have trouble with screwing back the center screw, it's like bit already broken hole lol

@@Godofthunder793You did it? According to me, if you are only looking for the battery version that suits the screws, it is also of higher voltage but when passing the faces there is no problem, only these will get hotter

I'm currently removing it now. Still a bugger to remove, as I'm used to pc towers where all screws can be removed, but I'm confident lol. Adding a 1TB SSD and another 8gb memory to my wife's gaming laptop (yeah I got my wife hooked; 6 mo. ago she would have NEVER thought to even PLAY with me let alone buy a GAMING LAPTOP so her game wouldn't run on my old potato laptop at like, 22 fps...so she just bought this hahaha. How did I get SO lucky y'all???). Wish me luck!!

Edit: I got it few months ago. Best thing in laptop is upgradability. I've 1tb ssd model and there is one empty slot is nvme ssd and one for sata 2.5 hdd.

@@JEE-ff5pp i hv bought i5 11th gen 11400h 3060 variant at Rs 90,000 cons are speaker quality is tooooo low plus screen is not that bright and heating issues i recommend you to buy heating pad otherwise its best in segment i love it
i got mine with 1tb ssd and 16gb ram. almost a year later, its still running perfect. my plan now is to double the ram and add a 4tb hdd. im surprised its so cheap. $85 for seagate 4tb 2.5" hdd, and $114 for 2 crucial 16gb ddr4 ram.

Interesting. I learned a couple of things. That screw that's retained just seemed weird and I couldn't understand why so persevered and did remove it not noticing a gap for the pry tool. Prying was a bit fiddly but still easy enough without that help though but if i need to go back in again I'll know!

I have Laptop ASUS TUF F15 FX506HCB , and I don't have hdd port on board but i have place for hdd disk. I only have port PCIE SSD. Why?
Maybe your battery capacity is more than 48wh. Because a larger battry covers the entire base of the laptop. But with a 48wh you'll have a space at the lower right part of the laptop to put the hard drive

If I open task manager. And look at the memory. I find that 1 out of 4 slots are being used. But in your video there are only 2 slots...
True, there must be 2 other m.2 terminals on the board that were not purposed. Wish they did though. :)

can you remove the pre-installed 512 nvme ssd and replace it with let's say 1tb nvme ssd plus add another 1 tb for the extra slots? if so, can you copy your previous os to the new ones or is it better to just installed a new os? My first question also applies to the ram slots. one other thing is there a limit to how much the limit of ssd storage you can put in this device?

I think it's called pry tool
But you can always use Philips screw driver to pry it open but be really careful

just use debit card or some other card you have for that, does the job perfectly and will not damage the laptop
it's doesn't work when the gap less than the thickness of credit card.

Thank you! this video helped me find out about the bottom right screw. sadly I was trying to put my old 2.5 SSD drive only to find out that my laptop model doesn't support it. it have a longer shape batttery that extend all the way blocking the drive, but I managed to replace the ram with 2 16GB ram and a second 970 evo plus nvme which worked very well. once again thank you.
My asus tuf graphics card died by with in one and half year.......can anyone help what should i do.......the service center say they cant help me....

that's up to every company. so you will have to call them and ask
usually it wont void the warranty, depends on the specific service centre. some A**hole may refuse the warranty but usually they dont.

ive never seen one with a pci gpu anymore lately, because its just inconvenient.
also there are no laptop pci gpu's so you cant upgrade either.
maybe look for an extremely upgradable laptop with interchangable parts. i know one, but forgot the name.
also honestly if you're just gonna use a laptop for gaming, buy a ps5, and like an office laptop.

Is the Tuf fx506hc i7-11800h rtx3060 version legit? I cant seem to find much info on it and the price is much lower than other sellers I've seen. Am tempted tho it's a bit out of my budget....1.85k....

You can't charge this notebook with USB-C, and all ASUS travel changers or USB C to powerplug cables don't fit ...

You should see the temps under load...
Probability to overheat the GPU is much higher with only one fan on the CPU side.

No, you can still have 2 SSD. The 90w battery will take the space away for the HDD only.

Laptop model: Asus Tuf F15 Fx506hcb
Core i5, 8gb ram, 4gb Rtx 3050ti,48wh.
I have some questions:
1. Have you experimented with various sata cable in upgrading the Sata HDD like using a sata of HP or dell on your Asus Tuf laptop?
I know there are generic ones specific to Asus Tuf F15 but I can't find it in my local store so I want an alternative and to possibly know if there is any risk involved in using a different/unbranded sata cable.

Hi. After I renew thermal paste, I lost the light of the screen but I can use with hdmi. What should I do? I might use paste bad. Could it be because of this?
See the connector that's between the DIMM1 slot and the PCH (small CPU looking thing with no heatsync), that is a eDP connector that connects the screen on the laptop to the motherboard. See if it's loose/disconnected, if not see if the cable is damaged.

laptop GPUs are not interchangeable , you could possibly connect an external GPU but swapping it isn't possible. Only desktop PC's support that.

I had an asus tuf f15 fx506li laptop i7 10th gen, installed ram is 8gb 2933mhz I wanted to update my ram please suggest an ram to upgrade my lap
I took out the 8gb 2933mhz and replaced with two 8gb 2666mhz and it seems to be much faster. I chose 2666mhz because it's cheaper but you could also get 3200mhz
