Hi and thanks for all the informative videos! Much appreciation on your efforts. How do I add a font to my catalog in cabide create? I've only got the free version btw.
@@donwires5793 hey don I made a video on this. Carbide Create Basics - How to Add Fonts in Carbide Create Tutorial th-cam.com/video/OlSIcApL990/w-d-xo.html Simply download a font to your computer, close carbide crate and reopen and should be there in your fonts.
Good info on the convert to curves and weld tool info. Correct me if I’m wrong but if you select all and say to cut outside doesn’t it automatically cut the bubble portion on the inside so it keeps the text proportioned correctly?
Hey Ken, I checked on this and yes, you're right it does automatically cut the bubble as an outside contour. Definitely something to consider. Regarding this project, I still would have done a pocket since the letter is very thing and I think the contour toolpath would eat into the remaining "meat" of the letter and make it too thin. Thanks for the tip. Ill have to keep that in mind.
@ I did a similar job and had issues on the thin letters I was trying to cut out and didn’t work until I went to the 1/16” bit. I keep learning from my mistakes! Keep posting, not many people that are posting good videos for Carbide Create.
