    In this video I'll be going over the vcarve and advanced vcarve, a bit of how it works, how they differ and how to set them up in Carbide Create.
    I'm not getting too technical but I hope its enough to help you understand it a bit better.

    Did the machine come back and clean the corners of the stripes where a little bit of stained wood was left or did you have to clean that up by hand?

    • @aetimberpine
      @aetimberpine  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey nokester2, yes it did. The vbit first carves the perimeter and then will come back and clean up the corners. It’s really cool to watch sometimes how it does that. Check out one of my latest shorts, I think it’s got advanced vcarve in the title.

    On your prestained stock, how to you cleanup any leftover edge fuzzies without removing stain surface?

    • @aetimberpine
      @aetimberpine  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Usually a toothbrush helps get rid of those fuzzies.
      Also a Downcut endmill works really great.
      Lastly, sharp bits work best. So if you start seeing lots of fuzzies it may be time to replacing your tool.

    Wondering on advanced v carve , after your end mill pass is done and it asks you to insert the v bit, how do you zero out the Z on the v bit?

    • @aetimberpine
      @aetimberpine  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Ken,
      So carbide3d requires the bitsetter to make the advanced vcarve work without having to reset the z zero.

    Does carbide prompt the tool change from the end mill to the vee set during advance vcarve or are those two separate processes altogether?

    • @aetimberpine
      @aetimberpine  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      With the correct post processor selected it will prompt you.

    How did you get the advanced vcarve to go through at the end and clean up your pocket lines? Do you have a discord? lmao

    • @aetimberpine
      @aetimberpine  8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The advanced vcarve is a 2 tool toolpath.
      The pocketing tool, usually an endmill.
      And then the vbit.
      Carbide motion will prompt you to start with the endmill and once complete it will prompt for the vbit.

    It's certainly a free country but I can't help remind everyone a portion of the US Flag Code, "The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature"
