Thank you! And hmm, I suppose that would be personal preference. My only concern with doing that would be the glue not bonding as well with the finish applied first. Instead of doing what I did with the ole glove up and smother strategy, you could fill a shallow tray with the finish and dip them in. That’s what most people do for cutting boards. I guess I just like the hands on approach 🤣
I didn’t design these. I got the files from a website that I linked in the video description. If I were you, I would just trace a simple giraffe image online and see what you can come up with. The animal shapes are very basic.
Nice work! Would you be interested in coming on a Saturday night livestream maker interview show? It's in it's 8th year now, we try and get makers of all kinds on.
@@AquaVitaeWoodworksits Lets Talk Shop With Russ. I think Russ has it on his YT channel Simply Wooden Creations. Ill warn you there are two kinds of shows, when we get a guest and are relatively serious with them, and when we don't have a guest and wind up discussing something and busting each other's chops.. we've had people on from just starting out to people with TV shows.
Hmm that’s strange, I downloaded them a few weeks ago. Send me an email at JSatkowski@aquavitaewoodworks.com if you can’t get them. I’ll send you what I have
Loved these! Thanks so much for making the files avalible! Ill be making these for the new babies being born in our family this year! Great work!
For the upside down sanding, check out a glimpse inside for a holder for it! I have not used it, but looks cool/useful.
Nice project, thank you
Nice and easy job!!! Awesome!!!
do you ever have an issue with the gooey stuff from the tape getting on the sides of your piece when your bit hits it?
Yes! All the time. Its super annoying, but can be taken care of by sanding. That's where spindle sanders area life saver.
Great job, would it be easier to apply the general finish prior to assembling these?

im looking for a giraffe design for one of these. How did you design them?

Good job!
What is the machine in 5:03 ?
Any chance you still have these files? I don't believe the link to them works anymore
Oh crap, didn’t even realize that. I don’t have them anymore. Maybe I should make new ones.
👏👏👏👏👍👍
Thanks for watching!
