The only Khajiit inside a city and she's an assassin. Really living up to those "Khajiit are shady" stereotypes.
Even worse, the said city is known for thieves and is one of the two with the worst reputation
I don’t think it’s relaly a stereotype, I think it’s just that Khajit are really good and stealing things and assassinating people.
@@T3nMiDGET5711No, the stereotype does exist in-lore and in-game. People don't trust the Khajiit and they seem keen on giving reasons as to why.
Stereotypes exist because of pattern recognition so its not all that surprising to see something fitting the exact reason it exists

From what i remember she has incredibly unique AI as she will only attack you if other npcs aren't near you.
that didnt happen for me....she just attacked me out of complete fucking nowhere.....i didnt know why?.....because she wasnt really following me in my playthrough or i just didnt notice.
@Cole Flatt huh key word is from what I remember so could be wrong or right I just remember hearing it and it happened to me through multiple play through like flat out she attacked me when I was using the theifs guild secret entrance as short cut.
If she can get you alone she will attack. This usually happens to me when I enter the Ratway. A few seconds after entering she will enter, track me down and then attack.
She attacked me right in the middle of the town square when everyone was watching lol 💀

I only found out a couple of days ago on a save I haven't touched the main quest on.
I robbed the Thalmor Consulate in Solitude and she sent thugs after me. Had to look up who she was.
I was trying to steal Medsei’s ring and I turned around because I was like, “who sees me right now?!” And she was right on my ass. Scared the life outta me.
I've never come across her and I've been playing the game for over 10 years. Multiple play throughs
Next time you do that quest, look around and she'll be following you!
you might have killed her during your fights with the Thalmor and not noticed
@@Cynthianwings yeah most likely. I have a tendency for Lighting attacks and alot of times, by the time Im finished a fight, there are alot of ash piles around.

I'm pretty sure there aren't any khaijit spouses in the game but if you marry ysolda a bunch of khaijit can get into the wedding since ysolda has good relations with the khaijit caravans. So shavari isn't technically the only khaijit that can be found inside towns.
Only the caravans arent allowed in the cities.
Maybe they count as slaves and that's why they allow it?

Hmm I would say no? It's not like the civilians of Winterhold can just walk up into the college whenever they want
I'd say yes, simply because Winterhold used to be much larger, so the college would have likely been much more ingrained into the general layout.

@@eclipseRz Agreed. Unless the Jarl has authority over it I think its separate, which Korir doesn't. Korir is also still angry about the Great Collapse, so I think Savos would probably have made efforts to keep them separate.

I saw her across from where Maul stands, and also in like the town center where Brynjolf is.
If you have played the main quest then you have, she is the cook in the thalmor embassy quest.

You can also encounter a few khajiit in the Temple of Mara if you're marrying someone who's considered friends with the caravans. Looking at you, Ysolda.
If you count your spouse, yourself (if you play as Khajiit), your follower, or College of Winterhold as part of the town it will be 3-5 Khajiits in the city
I’ve played Skyrim probably hundreds of times at this point and literally never seen that character😂
She's there. There's a lot of stuff in the game that lots of people have never found out about. For example I've got 10000+ hours on Skyrim and just recently learned that if you get a bounty a bounty hunter can come for you. It makes sense but I'd never had it happen before.
For anyone wondering how can a Khajiit player character, Khajiit companions and this Khajiit Thalmor assassin enter cities when supposedly Khajiits are forbidden from entering: It's the merchant caravans that aren't allowed to enter.
Singular Khajiits are free to enter. But the only Khajiits that even bother travelling to Skyrim are the ones from the merchant caravans, so that's why you don't find any Khajiit inside cities, ever.

@@JohnDoe-hj9fh i dont think it an oversight at all. it's clear that the khajiit caravans aren't allowed within any city but khajiits not associated with a caravan seem fine. if you play as a khajiit, it's not any harder for you to get in or around any city, same if you have a khajiit follower.
@@HeterosexuaI Sure but can't you say the same about Nord's when you play as an elf? It's not any harder because Bethesda doesn't put that much thought into it. They aren't gonna lock or restrict players for choosing to play as a big cat

My first playthrough i was a kajit named 'wilson' after my pet cat.
When he died i put that playthrough to rest also, just felt right.
Gutted though as he was probs my funnest playthrough as it was my first and everything was new.

Theres also an instance where they will show up in the church in riften to attend your wedding.

@Merilirem u encounter her over 3 times lol first at the thalmor embassy where u can kill her, then in Ritten saving esbern (when u get to Ritten she's always in los), 3rd when u go into the ratholes she's behind u u can turn arround and see her, 4th she's in the ragged flag on sitting down, and finally she approaches u as soon as u leave esberns room lol
I've played for over 10 years, and only got attacked by her in my most recent playthrough while escaping the ratways. it's nuts how in depth this game can be
One time back when i played It on the PS3 i did the Diplomatic Immunity quest stealthly. When i arrived in riften there was a guy wearing a green tunic who tailed me around and tried to kill me instead of her. The same guy shows up early in the quest where he's arguing with a Thalmor Inquisitor. Forgot his name though.
Never let the thalmor know yuor next move, never rescue the old man and marry the assassin

i found her when i was ecorting Esbern out of the Ratway completely out of nowhere and she started attacking me.
Unless you have the inigo mod. Its so immersive that it feels like multiplayer. Add with lucien, auri, lucifer, and redcap mods and you got a full team of amazing followers who feel like they are alive, and they actually interact with eachother.
Also, if you have the skeleton race mod installed, lucifer will actually be scared of you and paranoid that you are going to turn him into a skeleton. His reaction when he meets you as a lich is "hold on. Why were they trying to execute a skeleton?"
i always download tweak followers and have every khajit companion i can find so that they can set foot on citys

@@immasword I did. I just didn't realize that the random woman you see for a couple seconds and the other woman that I have never seen were the same person. So yes. I have technically seen this person. Just never in this specific place. And I don't remember her name or anything about her other than she is a Khajiit chef, which feels like a bad idea. Lots of hair to get in the food.
@@VoidZeroNothing proper grooming and enough skill could help prevent sheding in the food i imagine and you never know, one of the most renowned cooks in tamriel was an orc, not exactly the race you would expect.
I swear, Shavari is the SECOND CHARACTER I have, by pure coincidence, shared a name with an npc. The first was Skald, though my character had his name spelt "Scald"

first time in riften was to get esbern and brinjolf helps talking to me so right as i went to take the ring she full ass sprinted at me causing me to be arrested lol
I remember in my 2nd playthrough, which were modded for the first time, i thought she was a new NPC added by one of the Alternate Start mods. I have to give credit to her, unless youre walking around Riften first to do errands before entering the Ratways she's extremely incognito.
This one must begin another playthrough 🐈
Everytime I’ve come across her I assumed it was from a mod because she won’t interact with me whatsoever and never attacked. So I guessed it was a modded character without voice lines aside from the “go away” one she always uses. Escaped riften with esbern like 50 times over by now and genuinely never noticed she was included in the quest or that she’s a thalmor assassin.

I've been playing Skyrim almost since it came out in 2011, but it was only about two years ago when I first noticed her.
While not in a city, there's another Khajiit assassin waiting outside Windhelm during a side quest to smuggle Maulborn out of Skyrim of he survived the Thalmor Embassy. Good reminder that Khajiit are a part of the Aldmeri Dominion.
As are imperials, nords, orcs, red guards, and argonians. Literally every race has people on their side.
@@leviqueen1504 Technically true, but Elsweyr is officially recognized as an Aldmeri Dominion Province like Valenwood and Alinor. Argonia, Morrowind, and Hammerfell are independent and Skyrim, High Rock, and Cyrodil are imperial owned.

I've played Skyrim countless times (probably hundreds) and this quest dozens but I don't think I've ever noticed her. Granted I haven't played in a while. I wonder if it's because I usually sneak around so I couldn't be followed (for roleplaying purposes) not realizing in this case I actually was being followed. Or I just blasted my way through the mission to achieve something I value more, not realizing she was tailing me or dealt with her as any other random enemy while not paying much attention. Either way, I honestly thought I knew every tiny detail at this point. This is why I love these kinds of videos, someone will occasionally point something interesting out and leave me wondering what else I might have missed.

Always thought they should've made a few extra unique things per race. For example:
Khajiit: you arent allowed to enter a major city without documentation aquired in whiterun (or riften... wink wink) and get mistreated unless you're a Thane. But they are favoured by other khajiit and have a natural skill for +15% stealth and pickpocketing
Orc: strongholds are more exclusive and their initial quest will grant you access, but you'll still be mistreated until completing quests for the orcs. Orc players skip all this and get bonus to orc armour. But others may comment on your looks more
Elf: slightly lower speech skills against humans, and especially against nords. But have higher speech skill for other elves. Windhelm house is located in the grey quarter.
High Elf: more drastic changes to speech skill, nords aligned with the stormcloaks will never trust you and may even refuse to offer service (unless you're thane). But other high elves favour you because you arent trash :)
Argonians: couldnt really think of much here tbh... at least not without blatantly nerfing them. Maybe needing to state your reason for visiting windhelm? (Just any non nord for that matter)
Redguards and Bretons: these have a small boost in speech with other humans, and slightly lower with non-humans.
Nords: they receive no boost in speech for anyone except another nord, but is significantly better. And receive higher damage to all non-humans.
- Being aligned with Ulfric will make you unfavoured by imperial cities, but highly favoured by any also aligned with ulfric (Nord stormcloaks will basically do anything for a fellow kinsman fighting for their freedom)
Imperials: have even higher speech for other humans and no penalty for non-humans.
Being aligned with the Imperials does the same as above. Stormcloaks will respect you far less and the legion will respect you more.
When i was in the thieves guild, she immediately attacked when i got out the thieves guild area for some reason. I reloaded a save and it was fine.

I never realized that the Khajiits weren't allowed in cities. Even the Argonians are allowed in, and I can promise you as someone with a pet snake, that reptiles smell WAY worse than any cat.
Actually argonians aren't allowed in windhelm only you can find argonians in both riften and solitude
