- The Plunk Pod is an instant housing solution because it can be put anywhere, and it's mobile and relocatable. This particular model measures 10' x 32' (3m x 9.75m) for a total of 320 square feet, which includes an integrated front deck. The Plunk Pod can be set up to be on or off the grid depending on the systems. For example, with solar, septic, and a well it could be completely off-grid.
The interior is open concept, with a galley kitchen, a bathroom at the back, and the rest is flex space that can be set up how you want, with seating, a sleeping area, a dining area, etc.
A Plunk Pod can be used as a cabin, a backyard home, an ADU, a home office, and more. They are built by Northern Shield in Ontario, Canada. You can find out more about these Plunk Podz, and see more container and prefab homes built by Northern Shield on their website and on social media:

price? do they ship to america?
98k...really??? Looked at several new single wide, 12x76 for 50-65k, ( fully steel framed) certified house spec construction, load em with all appliances and full furnishing and a natural gas generator for 85k....delivered. The Tiny House market is becoming an absolute joke....
I agree wholeheartedly and it’s very sad 😢.
Was thinking even before seeing the vid "100k". Concept prefabs are for the upper middle class
Agreed
I agree, the point of a tiny home is to spend tiny money.
howd u get that price
I live in a container home and love it. It is my little paradise in Brazil.
The prefabricated house is very beautiful and convenient

There are some cool things about this (SIP construction + drywall for aesthetics, the louvered side wall on porch, offering solar), but I agree with other commenters that there are some pretty major design issues. In particular, the bed in the kitchen is a major no-go. I'd prefer a proper bedroom space vs. an integrated porch since porches are easy to add on. *Design Tips:* Painting the walls & trim the same color visually expands small spaces. Chevron flooring competes with zoning.
They cut cost so much they cut the unit in half! Two of these would suite me nicely.
The layout and staging leave a lot to be desired here... it just feels small and everything is a little bit off. For example, the daybed is not really a bed at all it's just a place to sit because you can't actually lay down. The bar stools are about 2 ft shorter than they need to be under that table. You say it can fit an l-shaped sectional but yet it's not staged that way 🤔 having the door on one end makes everything into a corridor thereby limiting options significantly.
Honestly, you could buy a used static for under £10,000 and refit it with plenty of storage and a better layout for under half the price of these.
What is a 'static',?
@@vibrantperformancetoday39 It's a 'mobile home' without wheels. Large caravan type or chalet.
The key word is "temporary"........For a long term a separate bedroom(you don't want your bed in the kitchen), room for a table or desk, and larger living room. The utilities/solar panels/toilet/water,floors,bathroom, and deck are all very good.
Its half the size of a livable space.
Tip for a more efficient and sellable set up:
Place a diner bench (with storage under the seat) against the wall wiht the tree painting by the window, add foldable table and chairs.
Remove the higher table and higher and lower chairs and place a pull out couch across the tv set.
Should have hired a professional stager.
Yeah, I'm really not feeling this, it's like a box with some walls. Lol... Hard to be enthusiastic with this.
And professional speaker.
@@one234569and10 Amen to that
Yes
Yeaaaaaaaaaah
You can do a backsplash window and put wall cabinets for more storage.
I don't even know why they would show it with nowhere to cook. That's just embarrassing.
Cool little house
I got interested in tiny houses when I became a family of one. Tiny houses used to be low cost, some tiny houses cost double what my big house value, so the interest for most of these houses is gone.
this!!!!
this one is 98k apparently. Just using youtube and building one seems to be the most logical choice by far.
It's interesting but really need more storages. And $98,900 for this one and $166,450 for the big one... Well, it's a NO for me. You can have better for this price.
Thank you Matt and Danielle. The concept is interesting but if you were to actually live in one of those it needs more substance.❤
This would be improved if instead of a separate shower it has a floor that slopes to one end. This also helps if the sink or toilet overflows. Make it easier to have a washing machine inside instead.
For that price I would expect A separate bedroom In a stove
wat price
@@outoftime788 98k
Haha for that price I can get a new trailer/ moblie home.
Those stools at the table are ridiculously short for the height of that table.
Cute. I'm not much for the studio arrangement.
Very well thought out. 👍
I like the exterior, however, the interior needs some re-configuring.
Or just basic "figuring".
Note: this pod is $98,000 😅
Holy crap!
Ridiculous. These things were initially positioned as low cost.
That's why the best option is to build it yourself from scratch 😂 Steal the parts of the design that work for you
LOL
@BossRedRthat is low cost, compared to todays housing market.anger
I liked the exterior, but think that the interior was really lacking storage. The sleeping solution was pretty lame, along with the kitchen. They need to redesign the interior in my opinion.
Inspiring, but I'd need an oven and bathtub. I see how some people could do without those. I've always wanted a semi-outdoor kitchen and bath tub though!
I'd need a dishwasher and a washer/dryer combo.
I love the price!
No W/D hookups? A bar mini frig? Bed in the kitchen? No clothes storage/closet? Yikes! It just seems like a poor use of space to me. .
but it's only $76,000 usd. How could you NOT buy it?!
This is a practical, innovative solution to soaring housing costs. It is far better than paying half a million++ for a 400-square-foot condo in Toronto or Vancouver.
This is a model, but I'm assuming you can modify it to individual specifications as needed, right?
Nice.
The bed deserves a tad of privacy. There are many easy options.
pricing could use some work, but interesting.
😂beautful home.❤❤
I do not like this pod thing at all….and no, you can not just “plunk” this anywhere…..most every county in every state, will not allow tiny/Mobil houses to live in….you will not get an occupancy permit, and the owner of the land it sits on will get fined….buyer beware, finding a place to plop this will be very difficult……..and lastly, $98,000 for this is a horrible price… 6:22
4:19 A wide but narrow sink? Those are antonyms.
Hmm. I don't think I'd have a bed in my kitchen. I'd be too tempted to eat in bed lol
I'm quite astonished at the fact that some people will complain how about anything I have been trying to build me a home for the past 20 years circumstances have been so unpredictable I have not been able to raise the necessary money to to build if such a thing was really possible in my part of the world at a reasonable cost it would have been nice. A beautiful built.
It's nice, but $98,000 isn't affordable for many and doesn't, of course, include the land or any permits necessary.
@@evelynwaugh4053 lol if you could wait a month to have one built you could have 5 times that space including the solar and furnishings for that kind of money.
I bet the wait time on one of those is longer than 2 months anyway so might as well.
It's Called a caravan 🤣
Interesting. Video went blank half way through?
Not for me
Due to the demand of tiny houses, the builders are really getting greedy. For the price of some of two of those tiny houses you can almost get a regular home. Best option may be building it yourself.
I am surprised by how much markup there are on tiny homes. They cost $10,000 to make or less, and they cost $80k or more to buy. Just shocking.
How does plumbing work?
Too much for my pocket, but like it
Other than the lovely porch, this is a boring box wit h the bedroom in the kitchen. Meh.
With all due respect, I am sure that those forced to live in a cardboard box or under a bridge would think it a palace and be more than grateful 🙏🏼
It’s not clear to me why you would bring that up. I agree with you, but unless I missed them describing this as a great housing option for the poor, I don’t see the point of your harsh critique of my comments that are based on aesthetics (which are based on individual tastes).
I don’t care for the set up. The kitchen should be in the front not the middle of the unit. Enter through the kitchen will give the bedroom area a more homey feeling. This setup makes no sense to me.
Sliding glass door so anyone can watch you sleep, they were kind enough to put a door on the bathroom.
Yeah, if they put a kitchen / office towards the door and then a bed / living area towards the middle, it would have felt better.
@@Nash1a absolutely
its ok for compay but the floor plan is not good for full time living
How much?
$98k....
AFFORDABLE, A LOT for the price, eh?
Is this available in Australia
There are good things about it. I wish the interior was more modern.
Why did they lie and say this doesn't need oversize permits? It does. It is clearly wider than 8.5ft. Anyone who sees tiny homes can immediately see that. Unless she meant delivering it unassembled.
What's the cost?
Somebody said $98,000.00
Exterior nice. Interior needs some help.
🥰
What does one cook on?
She said that you can add a cooktop. Should have been included, with a range hood, IMO.
You can ADD whatever you want to this $98k box with little in it.
The options are yours! LOL!!
$98k? go to tiny house listings , nice houses starting at 10k
320 sq feet = tiny? Small, yeah but tiny no. 8 ft by 6 camper less than 50 sq. ft. ? That's tiny.
This thing is gonna shway. You've got the fung all wrong.
🥰♥️🥰👏👏👏
This is hideous. Say no to all this sh*t!
Over priced, poor design, and lacking essentials.
Why not just get a trailer?
👍😎❤️
Thanks for watching :)
*For me I'm favored financially with Bitcoin ETFs approval, Thank you buddy. $18,000 weekly profit regardless of how bad it gets on the economy*
Please how does that work?
I believe the Bitcoin ETFs approval will be life changing opportunity for us, with my current portfolio made from my investments with my personal financial advisor I totally agree with you.

That floral covering on the day bed is catastrophic and distracting! Eww!
When your to bougie for a single wide 💅 .
Most communities will not accept this and if you do the lot fees are going to be crippling
If you own land already why waste money on this when you can get cheap trailer off of Marketplace as you build your “dream home”
No grande
Looks cheap inside.
Seems too big, cold and doesn't have that homely feel. Could do with more creativity as it lacks the 'wow that's nice' factor.
Poor use of space. Not enough built in features.kitchen leaves a lot to be desired. Cupboards, small refrigerator, no cooking appliance. Needs area for laundry appliances, no closet area.
Meh... not feeling this, bed in the kitchen area? I dunno.. Not enthusiastic with this.
$98k for a box... Nah.
Nic ciekawego. Słabo rozpakowane pomieszczenia i kiepsko wykorzystana przestrzeń.
Everyone wants to be a billionaire.
That's gonna be a hard pass from me.
Mmm, nope
Impractical!!! Crane & Truck tow transfer would could you easy thousands in short distance, long distance, forgettable it!!! Scam
Just get an RV cheaper.
Meh@?😮😮😮 not great
It’s a mobile home. Hilarious to me that these are branded as anything different than… a mobile home. Absolute waste of money unless you’re rich and want to add an ADU to your land. But much more affordable ways to do that. $98k!? Forget it! 😂
These homes won't solve the bigger issue; too many people.
