We went Carol Singing to people who have been “shielding” since March and the reaction was amazing. Apparently even our poor singing was able to bring joy to the housebound.

Just this morning when I got out of bed I thought to myself I can’t understand why people wont accept the fact we are all going to get old. But then I felt the aches and pains and looked at the face in the mirror who now has wrinkles and hair that is gray. But I can honestly say getting old does not bother me. The sad part is all the friends and families who have died and are no longer with me to celebrate Christmas. My point embrace your age, spend quality time with your family, be in the moment and listen more. Because one day you may be alone. Merry Christmas God bless you both.

I wish I could go out to help but we are a foster parent of a special newborn. So I feel like my days are consumed to be a mom. But I love Sundays with you guys and be reminded of small miracles. I had my brother and his family over yesterday and we had a great time. Just to see and talk to people in person you take advantage of before every thing hit the fan. I got to hug my family and that was the best part for me.

You two crack me up!!! Our community came together and made over 400 Christmas boxes for the residents of the 6 of the poorest nursing homes in our counties in East Texas. The staff from the homes were so grateful because these elderly people have had such a hard hard year. This let them know that they are not forgotten. Many many tears were shed by the residents, the different staffs and us.
This was way too fun 😂. I love your sense of humour and your thoughtful gifts. Also, Diana helping Dawn open her gifts was too funny! She obviously loves gifts. Merry Christmas to you both!
I'm a disabled Veteran and Single Mom of a differently abled teen daughter and we have been very blessed by so many people in our community with many items we need and even some wants. I am so grateful that you shared opening the presents with us, so heartfelt and inclusive! The PJs are GREAT, I am writing this wearing my favorite flannel PJs with sock monkeys driving cars and bowling, feeling extra cozy from your sweet support. At the skilled nursing facilities I round at (many are one story buildings), we have put the resident's room numbers on the outside-facing windows so families and carolers can come by to regale them with socially distant love, we just wheel their chairs or beds right up to the windows. And your comments about being 70 made me laugh out loud, since at 64, I am now closer to 70 than to late 30's and can promise how sweet those years were in between. I decided to go gray in my late 30s (happening fast anyway) and it inspired my mom who had a gray daughter while she had shoe polish black hair (her trend through the years). She finally relented and went gray herself since I paved the way, and our beauty continued in its new season with both of us getting older with acceptance. I woke up singing love the lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength. I was so pumped. Then I heard you say that on here and it made me want to cry. It's hard to feel synced up with the body of Christ when your not going to church. Guilt was huge over me for not going to church since February because of the virus. I am 31 and the first 30 years was all church 3x a week! So I am so thankful that God laid that on my heart and then hundreds of miles away it was on y'alls hearts too. Thank yall for doing these every week. It gives me time with ladies because I am not getting friendship time. Yall are like my friends! You just dont know it lol. I look forward to your bible time every Sunday. I missed it yesterday but I woke up this morning, read my bible, and then turned on this video to add to my study. I pray the Lord blesses you more and more with love this week. P.s. I so loved the last part of your video where you mentioned you don't feel very spiritual right now. That statement and everything that followed really wraps up where I'm at. 2020 has been interesting. I work in a school and we have been so blessed that our school has not miss ANY days due to covid this fall. A week before school started I felt so excited and full of anticipation to see the halls full of kids. I wor k in a high school and still was excited to see the halls full! For that I am so thankful :) But we have seen our share of people very sick and even pass away and it really weighs heavy. One night I sat down to pray and 2 minutes in I stopped, grabbed paper and pen and started writing names of all the people I needed to pray for. Within 10 minutes I had a list of names 3 pages long (and I've added another page since.) No wonder there is a heaviness. I usually have at least 15 people crammed into my condo celebrating together - not this year. As we get closer to Christmas morning, without any snow yet on the ground in Minot, ND (At 54 years old I'm pretty sure this is the first snow-less Christmas for me), it's becoming more and more clear by the day that this year is a gift. This year stinks, but it has absolutely forced us to become flexible (or break!) and to take a good look at which few people are most importan to us - we need to hold them close. It has taught me to make a lot of phone call coffee dates with my girlfriends. It has allowed me to ssee the troubles others have and to pray for them while putting my own troubles into perspective. Simplicity never looked better than it does right now. I am honoring others requests to not buy gifts for them (even thought I'm tempted) and I'm able to do this because I know how much I truly do not want gifts from them - I want to simplify and only have things I cherish. Your channel has really helped me in my quest for less. Thank you and Merry Christmas!

My sister who lives far from me and I both have ever so slightly "grinchy about the holidays" husbands. Last year we decided to create a small gift a day advent calendar for each other. It has been the greatest blessing this year. Each day we have the excitement of opening a new small gift along with the certain knowledge that someone out there loves us and spent the time to create a magical moment for us for each day during advent. It has been a huge source of comfort and joy in this otherwise slightly off kilter Christmas Season. We will be doing it again next year for sure! Hope that sounds like a good idea to someone else out there and makes their next Christmas extra special.

I had my brother and his family over yesterday and we had a great time. Just to see and talk to people in person you take advantage of before every thing hit the fan. I got to hug my family and that was the best part for me.

You two crack me up!!! Our community came together and made over 400 Christmas boxes for the residents of the 6 of the poorest nursing homes in our counties in East Texas. The staff from the homes were so grateful because these elderly people have had such a hard hard year. This let them know that they are not forgotten. Many many tears were shed by the residents, the different staffs and us.
This was way too fun 😂. I love your sense of humour and your thoughtful gifts. Also, Diana helping Dawn open her gifts was too funny! She obviously loves gifts. Merry Christmas to you both!
I'm a disabled Veteran and Single Mom of a differently abled teen daughter and we have been very blessed by so many people in our community with many items we need and even some wants. I am so grateful that you shared opening the presents with us, so heartfelt and inclusive! The PJs are GREAT, I am writing this wearing my favorite flannel PJs with sock monkeys driving cars and bowling, feeling extra cozy from your sweet support. At the skilled nursing facilities I round at (many are one story buildings), we have put the resident's room numbers on the outside-facing windows so families and carolers can come by to regale them with socially distant love, we just wheel their chairs or beds right up to the windows. And your comments about being 70 made me laugh out loud, since at 64, I am now closer to 70 than to late 30's and can promise how sweet those years were in between. I decided to go gray in my late 30s (happening fast anyway) and it inspired my mom who had a gray daughter while she had shoe polish black hair (her trend through the years). She finally relented and went gray herself since I paved the way, and our beauty continued in its new season with both of us getting older with acceptance. I woke up singing love the lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength. I was so pumped. Then I heard you say that on here and it made me want to cry. It's hard to feel synced up with the body of Christ when your not going to church. Guilt was huge over me for not going to church since February because of the virus. I am 31 and the first 30 years was all church 3x a week! So I am so thankful that God laid that on my heart and then hundreds of miles away it was on y'alls hearts too. Thank yall for doing these every week. It gives me time with ladies because I am not getting friendship time. Yall are like my friends! You just dont know it lol. I look forward to your bible time every Sunday. I missed it yesterday but I woke up this morning, read my bible, and then turned on this video to add to my study. I pray the Lord blesses you more and more with love this week. P.s. I am finding it so hilarious that Diana is opening Dawn's gifts! Your the kid that opens the other kids gift at a birthday party aren't you! 🤭😆🤭

I so loved the last part of your video where you mentioned you don't feel very spiritual right now. That statement and everything that followed really wraps up where I'm at. 2020 has been interesting. I work in a school and we have been so blessed that our school has not miss ANY days due to covid this fall. A week before school started I felt so excited and full of anticipation to see the halls full of kids. I wor k in a high school and still was excited to see the halls full! For that I am so thankful :) But we have seen our share of people very sick and even pass away and it really weighs heavy. One night I sat down to pray and 2 minutes in I stopped, grabbed paper and pen and started writing names of all the people I needed to pray for. Within 10 minutes I had a list of names 3 pages long (and I've added another page since.) No wonder there is a heaviness. I usually have at least 15 people crammed into my condo celebrating together - not this year. As we get closer to Christmas morning, without any snow yet on the ground in Minot, ND (At 54 years old I'm pretty sure this is the first snow-less Christmas for me), it's becoming more and more clear by the day that this year is a gift. This year stinks, but it has absolutely forced us to become flexible (or break!) and to take a good look at which few people are most importan to us - we need to hold them close. It has taught me to make a lot of phone call coffee dates with my girlfriends. It has allowed me to ssee the troubles others have and to pray for them while putting my own troubles into perspective. Simplicity never looked better than it does right now. I am honoring others requests to not buy gifts for them (even thought I'm tempted) and I'm able to do this because I know how much I truly do not want gifts from them - I want to simplify and only have things I cherish. Your channel has really helped me in my quest for less. Thank you and Merry Christmas!

My sister who lives far from me and I both have ever so slightly "grinchy about the holidays" husbands. Last year we decided to create a small gift a day advent calendar for each other. It has been the greatest blessing this year. Each day we have the excitement of opening a new small gift along with the certain knowledge that someone out there loves us and spent the time to create a magical moment for us for each day during advent. It has been a huge source of comfort and joy in this otherwise slightly off kilter Christmas Season. We will be doing it again next year for sure! Hope that sounds like a good idea to someone else out there and makes their next Christmas extra special.
