The basket on the back of the toilet is really cute, but I had to laugh when you said "No one will ever know!" what's inside it. Everyone lifts the lids on baskets that are on display....family and even guests. Everybody peeks! 😄🤣 Or maybe you said it to be silly and I'm just slow lol.
I’ve literally never opened baskets on display in peoples homes… I feel like that’s rude and nosey. I don’t think anyone I know does stuff like that. Only a couple of super nosey, problematic people lol. The same kinds that ask all the invasive questions and pester for information on every detail of your life
The basket with your makeup hack changed the game for me! Every time I get ready, I just throw it all into the basket, then put back in my cabinet. For this ladybug, I love how my counters are clear in a few seconds. The basket needs an occasional decluttering, but it's so much better than nasty counters.
I use one of the baskets that's actually used as a cleaning caddy. It has built-in dividers, a handle to grab with one hand, and everything stays organized.
A friend mentioned that she suggested her tween daughter start getting ready in their guest bath because her younger brother complained she takes too long. It worked out for the younger sibling, but the older sibling left all her things out on the counter which drove mom nuts. When I suggested a tote/basket/caddy that she could have out but could easily be tucked away, it was like the heavens opened 😂. Even if her daughter doesn’t put anything away, she can clean sweep the counter easily and her daughter knows where to find her stuff.

Using the old baking trays as pull outs is brilliant. If they're really ugly and you want to get fancy, I'd put shelf liner on them to pretty them up a bit
I thought I knew it all. But oh my gosh, your idea of using old cookie sheets/baking pans for pull outs for pots and pans IS PURE GENIUS. Thank you. This will solve a big problem (aka the scary cabinet) for me.
We did this with IKEA Samla containers in our corner cupboard for Tupperware, and in the less accessible ones we put infrequently used items. We have 3 in a row on each shelf, but as it's a corner cupboard, the first one on each shelf is most accessible and we put the food storage Tupperware and school lunch containers in those. But as everything is contained, it's much easier to remove them to access the ones at the back. For reference we used this size: 39x28x14 cm/11 l (15 ¼x11x5 ½ "/3 gallon).
Omg as a disabled mom the 3tier cart desk idea is Just what I've been needing! I'm constantly working from the couch due to pain and I can't ever keep things organized And handy. A cart I can pull out and then put away when I'm done (or have the kids put away) could actually hold everything and I can just keep the essentials here in my little basket instead of trying to shove and pile everything which just means I end up having to dig for what I need or more often I just don't bother because it's too painful to do that much movement.
Hi Cas! I watch all of your videos, here's a hack for you, I use the three tiered rolling cart to hold my most used cooking products, oils, vinegar, basic seasonings on the top tier, measuring cups and baking powders, baking soda on the second tier, you get the idea, what's great about it is, I roll it out of my pantry to use when I'm cooking and put it away when I'm done, I don't have a walk in pantry but it still fits. It sure save a lot of steps when I am busy cooking our dinner. Thanks for being real Cas, you inspire me to get things in order. God Bless. Patti, Paso Robles, California.
Wish I had a closed pantry or could have a cart. I have a toddler so, I'll be waiting till she and her baby brother are Like 5 years old to do this ..😅
That's a fabulous idea! I'm going to tuck it away for if I never have the right type of kitchen space. Currently I do have a small platter on my counter with oils, salt, pepper, and favorite spices which helps soooo much!
For the waterfall hanger trick those plastic doodads were too bulky🤣, you can just take little soda can pop tabs once you're done with your sodas and put them on the hangers and they'll lay flat. It saved my small closet 🙌
Bahaha I literally just laughed so loud it echoed! When you said the suction cups "suck donkey balls" I couldn't contain myself. Oh you are so fun and cute, I love it!!!
I bought the course. I am in the maintenance stage of decluttering. Also found my niche. I am a wheelchair user and need everything accessible to me. I think others would pay for an organizer that uses a wheelchair. What do you think?
You might consider part of putting a berm around the back edge of your yard to help keep the water out. They are easy to put in. But the water will find its way around it unless you extend it into a dry area where the water doesn’t usually go. Ours are just covered with grass with some random bushes on them. You can make them as fancy or as simple as you’d like. And won’t block your view.
Cas I love it when you just casually drop lines like "It sucks donkey balls", I can watch your videos all day just for the fact that your personality cheers me up!
As an european, when you say "small room" I'm just like this 😳. US fridge about 4 times bigger than ours. Place it in the storage (we don't have one). I see loads of food and snacks. We don't store this much food even we have guests. I see all your drawers in the kitchen and just think Wow this space is hughe. We completely live in other dimensions. I love to see how other people live! Love your videos and your positivity ❤
As an American who immigrated to Europe I feel the same way 😅 Ten years later and I can't imagine going back and having to manage that much space! It *always* gets filled!
I've been watching you and the other ladies for about 6 months. I am learning so much. I am a neat person anyway. (I'm a ladybug, hubby is NOT :) So I cleaned our spare room which doubles as a pantry, extra items room. It was a mess. Today I cleaned and organized it. I still need to organize the food shelf, but man! You, Dana and Dawn would be proud of me. I would pick something up and ask, "where would I look for this?" I even found the door key we lost saving my husband a trip to the "big town" and about $30. I labeled, trashed and donated. The spare room/pantry is now welcoming. Thank you for everything! I need to email you some pictures.
I had one of those in-sink organizers. It was constantly in the way and I had to get rid of it. I went back to a pretty soap container, and a matching one for dishwasher detergent, and a drying space in the laundry room for kitchen washcloths (literally clothespins on a wire shelf).
For your jeans in the baby hangers, start from the bottom of the jeans. No smooshing involved. Also, to combine outfits you can use the pop-tops off of cans (soda cans, soup cans you name it) instead of the other type. I find the second item doesn't fall off their types of hooks. Also, I agree it's not real practical to waterfall all items. Some work, most don't. Great video.
Using ring pulls (which is what we call those can pop tops down here in Australia) is a genius idea, i am going to try that tomorrow and see how i go with some waterfall action in my wardrobe
@@almmason7 I think it was suggested for areas that don't have the depth like most closets. Usually people do inserts/shelves etc vs hanging things. I use the full size, but definitely the slim kind, love those.
The problem is I organize the house but then my siblings and parents are hoarder and just mess everything up. I've tried to make zones in the fridge and around the house but they never put anything back and just leave things everywhere. I'm the youngest child and it's just so frustrating living in house that could be on an episode of the hoarders series. I've decided to only clean up my own room and suck it up till I move out.
Esm....good idea. You might like a dorm mini fridge in your room....just another way to keep away from the messy areas in the main part of the house. Hope this helps!
Have you tried labeling things and remember what Cas says, to organize to the less detailed/ visual. Butterflies...If one is a butterfly, you'll have to organize to them for everyone, accept your own spaces. All group spaces...w/ labels
Thanks for keeping up the content over all these years! It can't be easy to keep it exciting, but it's super helpful to have your tips & encouragement when doing these mondane tasks ❤🎉
Omg, watching you walk around your closet just makes me so freakin happy for you! 💖 I am a long-time subscriber, my friend, and I remember your old closet lol😅 it's much like my current closet...one day it'll be my time....sigh ...one day!
Cass, I just love you so much! This video had me laughing, though. You hang out with minimalists, yet you are a maximalist. I kept thinking, so many of these hacks you wouldn’t even need if you just didn’t have those things to begin with! But I love you anyway! 🤣😂 I gotta go do some more decluttering after watching this video. 😘😘😘
If you have a nasty baking sheet, clean it. Make a paste of baking soda and warm water. Smear it all over the nasty areas. Let it soak until the backing soda dries. Then use a spray bottle of vinegar to wet it and wipe it off with a no scratch scrub sponge. I have found it easily removes 80% of baked on stains. The remaining 20% will require more vigorous scrubbing.
I watch all your videos even though I’m already a pretty organized person. You crack me up so often!!!😂😂😂. You inspire me to get further organized. I find myself repeating your expressions, like “hot mess sandwhich” lol
I use the baby hangars to hang up all of my dog's wardrobe!! I got a rolling rack on Amazon and I keep all of her wardrobe handy, I have baskets to go on the bottom, one holds her jammies, and the other holds her doggie blankets, they were baby blankets the small size is perfect for her.
Ooooohhhhh, I LOVE the pull out drawer hack @ 11:59 😍I have been looking for a way to do pull outs in my cabinets for ages, and don't have time to install pull outs. Plus, I have a ton of "old nasty baking trays" that my hubby can't bear to throw out. Talk about killing two birds with one stone!!!
Get ready basket, old baking trays, roll around storage with cutting/desk/table top, all condiments to yr table (just lift shelf out of fridge!) were all amazing BUT THE measure your shelf/bottom of cabinet whatever area and take page with you to organize store and then place all your storage bins, cups etc. on it was BRILLIANT!! Thanks so much!
Your get ready basket has hands down transformed my bathroom and morning routine. I have implemented it for the whole family and our bathrooms stay really tidy all the time!
@Clutterbug thanks Cas! I also use the mesh shower caddies (got mine elsewhere, but that is what Amazon calls them) for our shower. I use old shower curtain rings and hang them up on the shower rod. I've tried shelves, but they get bumped and get gross way too quickly. I'm glad you found hooks and shelves that work for you!
I rarely comment on your videos, although I’ve been a loyal follower of yours for donkeys years. This episode made me giggle. As a transplanted Canadian in Europe, I instantly recognised the kraft peanut butter and the Costco sized KD. I love the fact that even though you have moved on in life, you are still true to who you are from the beginning and buy the products that are relatable to your viewers. 💜
I just decided to get rid of my son’s dresser. We went to the container store and did his closet so he’ll have shelves in his closet. So much more space.
These are all awesome ideas Cas. Thank you for sharing them. I thought maybe you could upgrade the nasty old baking trays with contact paper from the dollar tree if they truly look hideous. LOL. Have a lovely evening. Blessings - Judith 🎤🎭
I've not been able to make the in-sink suction cup holders work, so I spent a little more money on the pretty Hold Everything Double Sink Caddy and it works on top of the counter next to the faucet very well. I also either get clear dish spray and veggie wash bottles or else cover them with contact paper so that they blend in better. On another note, I am going to seek out the suction hooks for the bathtub!
A hack for making suction cups work is to get them wet before you stick them to the surface. I don't know the chemistry or physics behind it, I just know it works!
I loved the basket hack for makeup. Pull out, use, and put back under cabinet. As always a great video. I appreciate all the help you give us to change our lives. You’re a wonderful person. Love 💕 and Hugs. ❤❤❤
3 tier cart is also great as a diaper station in a kids room! We've used it for both of our babies! Row 1- daytime diapers. Row 2- Nighttime diapers. Row 3- Extra wipes. Row 4- Cloth diapers or other extra supplies (diaper cream, nail clippers, etc)
These hacks are great (I especially love the cutting board on cart trick and the use for old baking pans)! Side note about waterfalling your t-shirts: Believe it or not, you can use a pull tab from a soda pop can! I don't know where I heard this before, but don't we all need another excuse to pop open a cold can of something? 😉
I love the coffee station tip! My counter drives me nuts. More tips like that please. I have baskets in my fridge. Rather than cleaning the shelves, I clean the baskets.
I am a cook who has a million spices and I actually use them. I store them all by my fridge. I was watching my granddaughter and saw my daughter had those shelves for the side of the fridge to hold her coffee things. It was the perfect solution for my more commonly used large spice bottles and my salt container. And my favorite thing is that I can arrange them any way I like.
I just moved up north and I've been struggling to keep track of everyone's hats and gloves. Ur hack with the shoe organizer on hanger is genius. Thank you
Great ideas. But a heads up: suction cups don’t work on matte tiles in a bathtub/shower stall. Shiny tiles yup, matte nope. Could there be exceptions? Maybe, but not that I’ve found or my go-to tile retail tile designer has seen.
Great ideas, Cas! I'm going to try 3 tier cart for movable desk & side of fridge magnetic shelves. Clutter/spices pile up there. You are so fun. Love all your stories. 😂❤
I took your advice on moving furniture around for a fresh look without spending any money. My bedroom is like a brand new room! So glad I found your channel. So many great ideas ❤
This is total genius! I am new to your site and I can’t stay away from your videos. Being able to do relaxed organization as you say is music to my ears.
Thanks for the tips! Do you have any videos on hacks for oddly shaped pantries/closets? My pantry has deep triangular shelves and I can't figure out how to organize
I like the idea of clearing the counters but my fridge isn’t magnetic and I only have one sink which if I put that basket in there I don’t think I’d have enough room to actually wash the dishes. Love the baking tray as a slide out tray. Such a good use for that massive turkey pan I only use once a year ❤❤❤
I love all your ideas but I have to say.. your not only Beautiful but you have the greatest personality 😃 Thank You So Much! I’m going to use a lot of your ideas 👍🏻☺️
Cass, I use the pop tops from drink cans over the hangars. I can easily put the second hangar thru the second loop on the pop top. I hang my daily outfits that way. Shirt on top, pants below. I also use it for bathrobe on top, nightie on the bottom. Doesn't cost anything extra and works perfectly!
Some of your hacks have sparked inspiration for my 64 square meter apartment with 11 cats and three humans living in the space. We all work from home and it gets frustratingly crazy at times. Thank you for the ideas and keep them coming.
Any advice for vintage 1950s cabinets that aren’t spaced properly for modern appliances? My shelves are fixed! Not able to remodel them right now but all my kitchen stuff is literally out because nothing fits inside the cabinets…. Thanks
I use one of those 3 tiered roller shelves as my nightstand, topshelf. But the two shelves underneath are where I keep all my electronics minus the charging cables (which I keep in a container under a footstool I use at my computer desk). I keep my laptops and tablet there too, trying to be mindful of zoning... still learning how to do that
Really appreciate many of these ideas. However, I've never been convinced by stacking books on top of one another. It just makes it harder to take one out.
So many good ideas for so many people! Thanks for all this and thanks for updating us on your flood zone. I'm glad you're finding some joy with it! People have lived in or by flood zones for years and yes, they just get used to it.
I just got the suction baskets for my dogs bathroom/tub. I needed to have all their bath items handy! Am debating about putting them in my shower...I just hate the thought of the shower gunk around the suction cups...I love the clean wall look so much...but, I may breakdown after watching this video. Thanks for another great one!
Love these! Thanks so much - I especially love how you tried the waterfall clothes thing - it seemed to me that it wouldn't work the best - but you proved it. Love it. I use a "bag organiser" for my workout clothes - I roll the whole outfit up (Socks and underwear included) and then it's just a matter of pulling it out and getting dressed - total game changer. Thanks so much , as always, for sharing! ❤ Mel in Australia 🇦🇺🦘🐨
Wow, 6:47 is a great idea! We used IKEA Samla containers for storage with the same idea as the trays at 12:00. We put all our Tupperware and less frequently used items in them in our corner cupboard. The two most accessible ones had the food storage Tupperware and school lunch containers. Because they are contained like drawers, if you need the less frequently used items you can pull out the other containers/trays as one unit and replace them easily. As they are contained, you can stack the items vertically. We had 3 in a row on each shelf. For reference we used this size: 39x28x14 cm/11 l (15 ¼x11x5 ½ "/3 gallon).
I love that like 80% of these are just "LOOK AT THIS HANGING SHELF!!!" But I'm genuinely not kidding about loving it, the #1 reality (and nightmare) of ADHD "home organization" is piles, piles, and also piles. I am thrilled getting 28 different, very specific product recommendations to get shit off the counter and the floor. So many things are on the counter and the floor. Save me.
My favorite by far is using the trace out on paper of your kitchen drawer or whatever and then using that paper at The Container Store (or wherever) in order to make sure all of the little bins you pick out actually fit.
?? Quick QU: I'm extremely interested in taking your organizing expert course! But this next week begins an annual tribal fishing season, and my husband and I run one of two shops that buy all of the tribes' fish. 🐟 We operate 24 hours a day August-November. Can I sign I up for your course and hop on and off as needed throughout this busy busy season?? I'll need to be able to pause lessons between deliveries. 🐟🐟🐟
9:25. I bought a plastic basket at Target for $3. It’s big enough for two rolls of toilet paper and a stack of mini pads. I hung it on the wall where, while on the toilet, I can grab a new roll or a pad. It has definitely come in handy numerous times.
The basket on the back of the toilet is really cute, but I had to laugh when you said "No one will ever know!" what's inside it.

I think it's time to think about digging out a large pond in the backyard.
Great ideas. I think I would embrace the lake in the back yard by making it a pond with some high walls. Then add water loving plants beside the pond.
Your get ready basket has hands down transformed my bathroom and morning routine. I have implemented it for the whole family and our bathrooms stay really tidy all the time!
I use a shoe organizer for our water bottles and lids
That's a good idea!
I pray your yard continues to be a blessing to you and your family!
Thank you!
Love all of these ideas especially the one with the shelves on either side of the bed. May have to try it in my daughter's new room when we move.
The old tray to pull items out of cupboards and the rolling cart with a cutting board on top to serve as a work station are brilliant!!!! Thanks
You're welcome!
Dishwasher pods need to be in an air-tight container or the polyvinyl will dissolve. Learned that the hard way.
Thanks for sharing!
I wouldn’t sacrifice my sink space. I need both side. Wish there was another way.
so many great hacks here but my favorite has to be the baking sheet as pullout shelves!
Glad you like it!
Would love to see a closet tour!
All these hacks are amazing! Especially for those of us that rent!
These are all awesome ideas Cas. Thank you for sharing them. I thought maybe you could upgrade the nasty old baking trays with contact paper from the dollar tree if they truly look hideous. LOL. Have a lovely evening. Blessings - Judith 🎤🎭
It's a great idea!
Oh my... Keeping the dog treats right at snoot-level in a fabric bin? That wouldn't last two hours in some homes 😆
LOL! Always do what works for you!
The books on the wall wouldn't last with my crazy cat! 😸
Love this. Especially the stick on shelves. I hate nailing anything in the walls.
I'm glad you like it!
@@lgraps That does work sometimes, but putting weighty things on it doesn't consistently work. Thank you! 😉
@@lgrapsI have also heard to put some petroleum jelly on the suction cup 🤷♀️ I have a granite sink but have not tried it
I loved the basket hack for makeup. Pull out, use, and put back under cabinet.
As always a great video. I appreciate all the help you give us to change our lives. You’re a wonderful person.
Love 💕 and Hugs. ❤❤❤
Thank you so much!
Always do what works for you!
If you know you aren’t going to use the baking trays again, you can add contact paper for a nice aesthetic look for the pull-outs.
I recently took the paper pattern of some drawers I was organizing. It made it such a breeze to find the right dividers to buy. Perfect fit!
Yay!
Looks like I wasn't the one to suggest the pull tab trick! Sorry I didn't read through the comments before posting. 🤷♀️
Ikea makes a cutting board especially for their raskog 3-tier cart
Thanks for sharing!
I love the coffee station tip! My counter drives me nuts. More tips like that please. I have baskets in my fridge. Rather than cleaning the shelves, I clean the baskets.
Smart!
Thank you
You're welcome!
YAAAAAAAS FOR THE ACOTAR BOOKS!!!!! ♥♥♥♥ Cass seriously - we need to be friends :)
Thank you! I am not the only one who spends money on organizers with suction cups and they never work!
Great ideas. But a heads up: suction cups don’t work on matte tiles in a bathtub/shower stall. Shiny tiles yup, matte nope. Could there be exceptions? Maybe, but not that I’ve found or my go-to tile retail tile designer has seen.
Agree!
Also on walls that are textured.
Who has flat walls?
I’ve been anti-suction cup for years. 😂
Great ideas, Cas! I'm going to try 3 tier cart for movable desk & side of fridge magnetic shelves. Clutter/spices pile up there. You are so fun. Love all your stories. 😂❤
I'm so glad!
Such a good use for that massive turkey pan I only use once a year ❤❤❤
Love the idea of using the baking tray to pull out pots and pans.
Glad you like it!
That bench idea is gold. I also LOVE cube cloth bin storage idea for kids clothes.
Glad you like them!
I’ve been using cubes instead of a dresser for several years and I love it.
Everything is just beautiful…..but that mantle!! Over the top gorgeous-Well Done! Thanks for sharing
Your pantry is the stuff dreams are made of! Love it!!
:)
Great Ideas Cas! thank you much!!!
You are so welcome!
I love all your ideas but I have to say.. your not only Beautiful but you have the greatest personality 😃 Thank You So Much! I’m going to use a lot of your ideas 👍🏻☺️
You are so welcome!
Your daughter is reading the spicy ACOTAR series?! Right on! 😂 love it!!
Any advice for vintage 1950s cabinets that aren’t spaced properly for modern appliances? My shelves are fixed! Not able to remodel them right now but all my kitchen stuff is literally out because nothing fits inside the cabinets…. Thanks
Thank you again for the great and useful video! I also love listening to your podcast! All the best from Germany! 🙋♀️
Love your energy and passion Cas!!
So glad!
I use one of those 3 tiered roller shelves as my nightstand, topshelf. But the two shelves underneath are where I keep all my electronics minus the charging cables (which I keep in a container under a footstool I use at my computer desk). I keep my laptops and tablet there too, trying to be mindful of zoning... still learning how to do that
Schon der erste Tipp ist großartig!! So simpel und so nützlich! Vielen lieben Dank!
Love all of these!! Time to binge watch Clutterbug!!🎉❤️
Really appreciate many of these ideas. However, I've never been convinced by stacking books on top of one another. It just makes it harder to take one out.
I love your energy and tips, Cas!
Watched 2 of your videos and liked your vibe and now watching from your channel back to back 😅
So many good ideas for so many people! Thanks for all this and thanks for updating us on your flood zone. I'm glad you're finding some joy with it! People have lived in or by flood zones for years and yes, they just get used to it.
You are so welcome!
I wasn't expecting to be blown away like this, thank you!
Amaze balls! Banana pants! You are totally awesome sauce! So happy for you!
Thank you for sharing your beautiful spirit 😊
You're so welcome!
Wow.. these are really awesome hacks!😍
Baking tray as pull out is so good!
Great video Cass. Love your tounge and cheek humor❤
So love these. Do a lot of those for myself and my clients.
The journey to wisdom is never-ending.
Always great tips & tricks. I love the get ready basket. That is very cool.
Glad you like it!
I love that like 80% of these are just "LOOK AT THIS HANGING SHELF!!!"
But I'm genuinely not kidding about loving it, the #1 reality (and nightmare) of ADHD "home organization" is piles, piles, and also piles.
Glad you like it!
These are all great tips. Some are game changers. Thanks for this video!
Smart!!
