  • My buddy just bought this Altima, it was still under the break in for the engine. He did mention it is a bit quicker now.

I learned to drive on an old CVT. It doesn’t sound good, but I like the smoothness of it during “hard” acceleration. Feels like a plane taking off, no jerkiness.
The new ones have simulated shifts, i wish I could disable it and make it like this guy’s

I have this car and if you want something fast it is not it there is always a delay in accelerating I hate it 😂

Learn how to work the car and there isn't a delay but I know what you mean but it's definitely not all the time. It's at certain speeds below 45mph usually but I know how to make the trans respond instantly if I need it 2

I have the same car and I agree. The car is beautiful looking. I would not want a different car looks wise but performance wise it sucks. Once you’re going fast it’s fine but from the jump, it’s brutal.

You try double pressing the button once it’s on yet?

I had the 2012 3.5SL Altima too. But some dumb brawd decided to run a red light and total it with her piece of crap Malibu…

Yeah, but the 2013 looks like crap compared to this. This new model is beautiful. There is no better looking car on the road.

@@blacjackdaniels200 Reliability issues. Also CVT suck so much you will never get 100% potential engine power to the ground compare to regular transmission in certain occasions. Nissan is worst. I am a mechanic so I have seen them all.

@@oceanscriminal3109 yeah I know nothing about it. I was literally just asking. Because I’m a big fan of the Altima. it’s a beautiful car. I leased one on a short term deal and I turned the car in instead of buying it because I heard so many bad things about this transmission. I really love the style of that car. For me I don’t think there’s a better looking normal car out there, obviously when I say normal, I mean somewhat affordable. I’m not comparing it to a Corvette or anything. But I really love the Altima’s looks but it had zero power. I mean I know they have a turbo one, but I just had the regular version. It had 180 hp. Once you are at high speed, it’s quick but it felt like it was struggling at times and from scratch it has zero pick up. I don’t know if that’s because of the transmission or what. What do you recommend would be a good buy based off of the fact that I really liked the way the Altima looks but I don’t want to have transmission issues down the road.
