    Yes...I do this exercise daily. And it does so much for your playing. It's essential to practice

    This was literally the perfect video I didn't know I was looking for. It definitely challenged my brain during the exercise. I noticed that my fingers were used to playing the scale the rest of the way through instead of rewinding a step in my head to remember to go almost "backwards" to start on the next degree. I'll definitely be practicing the crap out of this. Thank you!! My only recommendation would be to add a tablature portion for those still just beginning to learn to read music.
