You're right. Being able to hear music first then play it Is the way to go. If we can't do that in the begining, improvisation will be harder. Playing what we hear is so much fun than just leting our fingers play whatever their want.
Your voice is so pleasant. For me, I just play along with stuff and skip the do Rey mi. Definitely for some this is super helpful. Every key is different and I just focus on the intervals and hearing the color of each chord.
this is excellent, thanks so much for sharing. hard to remember that a little bit every day really does become more than the sum of each individual time practicing

i prefer singing Do Re Mi, but the numbers are somewhere in the back of my mind too
With ears like that- no wonder she has perfect pitch!!!!
