Easy Greek fish BBQ

  • Fish BBQ is wonderful and a super easy meal to make. Any type of whole fish will do, so long as the flesh is strong enough to take a bit of manipulation. I normally use sea bass or bream and on occasion mullet. Gut and scale the fish and make some slits on the fleshy bits so that it does not bend while cooking. To prepare the fish rub it with salt, pepper, oregano, lemon and olive oil. You can let it rest for a bit, but it is not necessary. It is best to use a grate to hold the fish for easy turning. Place on a medium to hot grill (no flame) for 15-20 and turn every 5 minutes. Fish cooks quickly, so keep an eye. Serve with lemon juice.
