    Ferrari seems to have this stuck up attitude that nobody is good enough for their cars. Like how they revoke your club membership if you collect lap times with your car, and how they may not even let you buy one of their cars even if you have the money. I've always liked Lamborghini more because of that.

      As we go forward, legitamte Race/Track wear makes carbon cars at this level more valuable.
      Understand fiber Race/Press/Sales cars are tools for huge groups of people to throw a sales pitch to whales, not personal wear watches. After 10k track miles, a month or two sitting in the vegas or GA sun and being cast off to storage without TLC, in 20 year glue will be cracked and the laminates will flex like wood. Some future historian will have to scan the parts and have them 3d printed at nappa-kinkos in 60 years to fire up the dinosaur cars that have to be driven by moving ones hands and feet.

      RandoCrypto I think it's that cars with antique status are not required to have emissions equipment OR proper safety equipment, regardless of state law, since they can only be driven for a certain distance.

    • @farhanpramadipta1858
      @farhanpramadipta1858 6 ปีที่แล้ว +132

      In the USA, when a car turns 25 years old, its basically exempt from all sorts of regulations, hence why you cannot import some cars like the R34 until it is 25 years old cause it does not meet regulations at the moment..but when its 25 it is basically exempt

      It was never intended to be sold, hence why the price is so steep. Also consider all the carbon manufacturing they have developed just for this project. It's a showcase of their abilities, we are just lucky they are actually putting a small number into production so we just might see them on a track someday. It's kinda the same story with the Lexus LFA.

      Carbon is lighter then metal. And i think with the lambos that are only created for cicuit racing, getting all the excessive weight out is already done. So when you see that on tv or look that up you’ll see thats how theyre driving ;) :)

    • @Real_MisterSir
      @Real_MisterSir 6 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      I think people are also misunderstanding the term of "take everything out that weighs something".
      It's not just about removing the AC and radio and the leather trim etc. It's taking the entire car off its frame, redesigning it completely to shed every single bit of equipment that is not necessary for normal road use, and create everything needed in carbon fibre. An example are the seats. They have been completely taken out, and the inner carbon monocoque shell has been shaped to mimic a seat shape, and then some cushion pads have been attached directly to the shell. The car literally doesn't have seats. That's the extend of the weight shedding.
      So in a normal Superleggera you could never achieve this, because no matter what you will need some kind of seats because the shell itself is not shaped to allow you to throw them away. You can't just throw away the entire dash either, but in the Sesto Elemento they've made a full carbon fibre crossplane that goes across where the normal dash/front interior is, so the guages etc are attached directly to what is essentially the frame of the car. In the Superleggera you can remove the interior trim from the front dash, but you can't really remove the dash itself because it's not designed to work without it.
      I believe the engine is also directly bolted to the chassis in the Sesto Elemento so you can shed a lot of weight from parts that are no longer required to mount the engine.. It's all these various details that make the Sesto so insane. It is based on the 560 platform, but everything on top of that is completely redesigned - to a much higher extend than even the Supertrofeo.
      A normal Superleggera would drive incredibly well if you shed all the weight you possibly could, but it would never have the same chassis stiffness and rigidity, nor the sub 1000kg weight that the Sesto Elemento has. So they would not drive the same, but probably still be bloody good!

    As the carbon fiber would splinter into a million pieces, it would actually be quite safe... all the energy would be lost in the body pieces, and not in you. Mind you it would cost a lot for repairs....

    • @TucsonDude
      @TucsonDude 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hopefully, the energy release would be properly controlled in a crash. Otherwise, you're just driving a fragile car.

    Do you think that car from the event helped to sell some new street legal lambos? Just like the Hellcat and Demon pushed Challenger sales thru the roof. But they are mainly low end V8 R/T's or V6 models that were sold. Because of the hype from the "star" car. Obviously price plays effect in the Dodge example. But in the case of the lambo's not so much.

    Sesto is by far my favorite car ever. If I ever had 6M laying around. I want one to love and another to abuse. Maybe throw a UGR TT kit on it so I can die the proper way.

      i like your idea of ugr tt kit but that will add weight and it kinda defeats the purpose..

    I got to see this vehicle up close at the Lamborghini factory museum back in Feb... absolutely crazy looking car, especially on the inside. But, it is certainly one of my favorites and was simply amazing to see in person. I can only imagine getting an opportunity to drive one!

    How much time do you spend on your lines and how many college speech classes have you had? You articulate VERY well and I do not hear the normal UM and AH's or the WEll that most any normal person or speaker uses. You are extremely well educated on your subject.
