Korean culture is very very influenced and similar to Chinese culture. Traditional monuments, buildings, writing, clothing, religion, food, medicine, and more.
I’m so happy to see you back to this sort of content after the Mija Seoul whirlwind! Take solace in the fact that you deserve to enjoy life and not be so stressed all the time, and you have the benefit of being able to do so by just being you! How awesome is that? Keep traveling and living everyone’s dream life, I live vicariously!
So true, we deserve to be happy and content, seeing the beauty in everyday life. I had been so stressed out a few weeks back I couldn't even function normally but something about seeing Dooby's video is so calm and homely, and the fact that you can take solace in the fact that life is beautiful if u see it for what it is
When I was younger I grew up in Korea town in my city. My mom signed me up for this Taekwondo where all the instructors recently arrived from Korea. I would attend the Korean cultural festivals with my Taekwondo, they taught me how to say thank you, count in Korean and most importantly really shaped me in terms of discipline and self control. Because of growing up in Korea town I really enjoy Korean cuisine and overall really want to visit. My aunt said after I got my black belt she would take me. I got my black belt and she never did 😭. However I’m 22 now so I’m going to go next year with my friends. Thank you for your videos, they make me excited and hungry.
There is no denying it. You are officially the coolest person I know. I've been in the cooking industry for 25yrs and you get to try food I can only dream of. I love how you describe food with such passion and your love for your own cultural history. You inspire with your words and way of life, and the balance of food. I explain this to so many people but you truly get it. Keep the amazing videos coming and take care of yourself. Your Friend Always: Patrick McMasters

Wow, really outdid yourself here. This is probably the best documentary-style guide on Seoul I have ever seen from a TH-camr! visited Japan last February, and it was probably the most memorable trip I've ever made. I still regret not having visited Korea on that trip. I am pretty sure I will get to visit Seoul as well though.
The most excellent video I have ever watched to introduce Seoul. Coming to Korea is one of my dreams and even we have a lot of sources in these days to find the best places honestly for me there was always something missing for getting the best travel experience. hi doobydobap! you published this video while i was in seoul two weeks ago and I visited a BUNCH of the food places you recommended (bingsu, gilgeori toast, korean hot dog, mugwort hotteok, raw soy marinated crab, etc.) and they were all fire!! especially the radish tteokbokki, i still can't stop thinking about it 🤤
Wait a sec. You put out a guide, made with so much love and the editing 💯 , it was of more than an hour and yet I watched the entire video with no breaks. It means u did exceptional job. Damn girl, I really appreciate how lovely it is to watch without any ad or no irrelevant ad.. 😅 SHOW US THE PARTS and food of Korea we never show. I'm loving since you are only focusing on making these videos. So nice. ❤
OMG girl I am shaking, the two of you sporting the traditional Hanbok clothing, I sense a proposal in the works, possibly while enjoying the wonderful view from up top in Naksan Park. 🔥❤️
Excellent video tour and explaination of the foods for me to refamiliarize some of them and learn about others I didn't know of. I can say that I'm not a fusion or junk food foody, except for what's traditional. Your mom is spectacularly beautiful. It would have been a gorgeous site to see her in Hanbok. I spent 1 year in Uijeongbu city in 1997 when I was in the US Air Force, stationed at Camp Red Cloud. I turned 20 during my time there. I travelled around various parts of Seoul many times and went to Gyeongju city twice. I will never forget my time in Korea and I will always treasure that 1 best year of my life. I fell in love with what I was exposed to and will never forget the warmth I felt there from the people. Leaving Korea and leaving a very lovely special lady behind broke my heart. I had to wipe away my tears on the airplane. I have never returned since leaving, but I haven't forgotten how to read the language to probably a 75% proficiency, though I don't understand or speak Hangul beyond some phrases I learned. Thank you for accepting me into your country and culture. Forever live a free Korea!
Dooby you and your videos are a masterpiece. The vidoes are captured to perfection and oh boy they always remind me i do not need any other app to watch something when i can watch your cool creation.

Fun fact: chungyechun used to be an elevated highway that had failing infrastructure because the stream beneath the highway was corroding the structure. Instead of spending money to repair it this haven for the community was made. It used to be a very important stream for residence before the highway was built also. Bringing people back to nature as it used to be.

the camera quality😳, mind blowing 🤯, I'm watching it on 360p but it seems like 1080p. Your production is becoming awesome day by day.❤
New favorite comfort TH-cam video
Hanbok is influenced by Chinese hanfu
Naksan Park is a very nice spot... not a bad idea about that proposal! 😅
Very awesome that you appreciated your time in Korea so thoroughly, and dove into the letters/language. It's a great place, in a lot of ways!

Fun fact: chungyechun used to be an elevated highway that had failing infrastructure because the stream beneath the highway was corroding the structure. Instead of spending money to repair it this haven for the community was made. It used to be a very important stream for residence before the highway was built also. Bringing people back to nature as it used to be.
will be visiting seoul for the first time this weekend, we are stoked! been following your food vids for years so it was lovely to find this video when looking up where to go in seoul - thanks for the recommendations and sharing such a personal view of the city!

This is the best Korea vlog I seen! Your personality and delivery is phenomenal. I'm traveling to Seoul this weekend for a 10 Day vacation. I was based in uijeonbu from 2002 to 2003. I really missed Korea and I'm excited to bring my husband for the 1st time for our 17th Anniversary. I would be so honored to do a food vlog with you.
hi tina! i'm megan, i'm 15 and studying :) P.S. side note i cried when i realised you came to Singapore and i missed that because of exam period HAHA! anyways, i just wanted to say, you've officially convinced and inspired me to study food science! i aspire to be like you, flying around the world and sharing widely and deeply on food. over the past 2 years watching your vlogs, i've learnt that there's so much meaning to the preparation, history and taste of food. you've greatly helped me to appreciate the historical context of ANY food i eat, and you've taught me more than my textbook could afford to you're so insightful and informative; with all heart, i seriously seriously enjoy your content so so much! thank you for your hard work, i hope you know what a great impact you're making on all your viewers out there
i never get tired of watching your videos, very informative and entertaining. i hope to visit these places someday 💜
