I have to give Kevin a lot of credit! He went from a trained chef running his own fine dining restaurant to a camera man/ producer and made that transition flawlessly!
this. gives kind of an extra layer of energy to her explanation when someone has an internal timer ticking just behind themng an earned eating break at 48:55
Omg i felt so sorry for Mama Dooby. She looked tired n hungry but Dooby kept talking and was even tasting stuff in front of her. I wish Mama Dooby got to eat while Dooby talked.
I went to so many of these spots during my travels to Jeju island, I forgot how magical that place is. God, that Abalone porridge was so good too! I highly recommend visiting the Bonsai Garden and Seongsan ilchubong, for anyone looking to go!
Your mum is like a polite refined French lady. She must also like going for dinner without you. So the Michelin star talking stops and eating starts 😂😂
I love how you appreciate every little detail and describe it to where I can totally understand what it would be like experiencing it. But the way you describe the things that you're eating, the textures, the flavours and the histories and everything. Ah, I love it. Thank you for this and all your videos!!
Tina, Your vlogs are beyond authentically amazing. I appreciate all of the teachings that you give us as viewers into the cultural aspects. It’s wonderful being your student. Thank you… Everything looks delicious as well. Much respect to you. Kevin’s filming is top notch. Seeing you and your mom together is beautiful. 🫶🏻
I have quite literally just thrown myself into bed after work and gym and commuting and I always check your channel and it’s AN HOUR + VIDEO IM SO EXCITED THANK YOU I LOVE YOU
Jeju is definitely on my list when i visit Korea especially for the mandarins & sea food & matchs, green teas. Lots 9f love. This channel is my comfort zone. I feel so relaxed after watching these vlogs.
was actually wondering where you were right before i saw the thumbnail. love these 24/72 hours in ___ videos! it really made my day. i'd love to go someday
I just came back from my first trip to Korea. Food in Jeju was so good and the land beautiful. I wish I would have known all of your restaurant recommendations before I went. Dreaming about going back to Jeju. Loved this video.
Your descriptions are so unique… they sound the way I think ‘it’s like a scallop went to Technical College, graduated , and started working’ I really laughed out loud but completely related. Awesome!
Really love how you produce your videos!!! It's like watching a very personalized yet informative documentary + your voice is also really nice to listen to + the shots aaaaaaa i've been a fan before your first million subs please do a meet & greet soon in the Philippines!!!!!
I recently finished watching "Our blues" which is a kdrama and it completely revolves around the the jeju island and the people of Jeju.. and after watching it I really wanttt too visit Jeju for suree.....💗💗💗💗
in West Bengal and throughout Indian coastal regions we have something similar. In bengali we call it googly. And it's so so good. it's available only during monsoon season, and it's my favourite
dooby i've missed you!! even though i've only recently found your channel i'm super happy to see a new video! definitely getting my future korea visit spots from you~
OMGGGG I just love your way of explaining every detail of every dish you eat. You are a real and unique artist Dooby ❤️ Also big big cheer up to Kevin & Mama Dooby for their patience and love towards your work 🥰
I savoured this video for the past three days while having dinner… i didn’t even know about Jeju island but yet after the first few minutes i added it to my travel bucket list. When i’ll plan my trip to South Korea I’ll make sure that i include some time to visit this beautiful place, and it’s all thanks to you, that made me - and I’m sure other people too - discover how much Jeju has to offer. And I was drooling at that seafood ramen and the uni bibimpap omg. Great video, as always hehe 🫶🏻
one of my favorite videos. since I read Pachinko I was really curious about Jeju island so I loved to learn more about the food and also to see the beautiful coast.
22:02 the ajumma doing everything herself in her restaurant is adorable! Preparing amazing food and giving out freebies! I'm sure to visit her when I get to Jeju.♥
I just finished watching the kdrama "Welcome to Samdal-Ri" where the story focused on the brave and epic haenyeos! It was so inspiring seeing the true event-based female divers on their journey. I can't wait to visit Jeju for its unique culture and food! I've seen a lot of Jeju travel vlogs, but I thoroughly enjoyed yours, Tina! Your vlogs are always so organic and immersive
I loved this! I love your commentary and the fact that you had your mom along with you on this adventure! Looks like you had a great time eating yummy food and reconnecting with your Jeju past life. :)
I am so amazed how you make this content, really informative and your choices of food are so GREAT! shout out to your mom who patiently waiting for you to finish telling story of all food before she can eat hahaha.. GREAT CONTENT! Luv it
I’ve always enjoyed your videos. I especially love this docu kind coz it provides info and knowledge it makes me want to go to Jeju again and again. Love your explanation too, you’re really passionate abt food, knowledgeable and did research thoroughly. While this is a great quality video, i think there’s too much talking. Maybe u could make the eating or exploring part longer without commentary. Sometimes expression is a commentary itself and watching just visuals can give that healing or escapism feeling to viewers❤
This video was recommended to me on my TH-cam feed. I'm glad I clicked on it because your little silly moments make these food vlogs really entertaining.
I watch your videos to destress and relax my mind. 10-15 mins later I fall asleep. Thanks I haven't been overthinking before sleeping for a while now 😂 1 upload became a series 😂😂 I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS and Im a fan since you started tiktok/instagram. ❤️❤️❤️ Looking forward to mooooore food contents ❤️❤️❤️
Truly love that you highlight top-notch seafood on this channel, Dooby 🫡 And good lord the meal that kicks off this video looks so dang good! And affordable! Badly want those soft noodles swimming in sea flavored broth, and both juks seem so tasty 😪 the color on that 전복죽! Got me ravenously hungry over here.
Sup Soobysobap! Girl your videos are hella fun! I was fortunate enough to go to Jeju Isaland in this lifetime. Thank you for explaining the ship lights! I had no idea they were used to attract squid and other sea life! Looking forward to more videos.
I had a great time in Jeju last dec, so looking forward to going back in summertime so I can have a different view/experience and use your recommendations. Thank u so much for adding the google maps
27:12 That Ahjumma's dedication is on a whole another level..ONE WOMAN SHOW just like dooby producing these masterpieces beyond netflix quality..just the SUBTITLES would be cherry on top 😍mommy is spoilin us kids 😗🤩😘mom and mommy are slayin 😉
Loved the video, especially with mom in it. Seeing family is good. Getting the history & food of Jeju island is fascinating. I think this pairing of the mollusk (which in Hawaii, the Hawaiian culture was something that all the later generations also enjoyed) with noodles, kimchee and other vegetables is something that I hadn't seen in Japanese, Chinese, Filipino dishes before. It looks interesting. Growing up as a young kid, the family used to go rocky shoreline, picking the pinhead mollusks from the rocks, using a pin to pop them directly into our mouth, or collect them, simmer them in a pot and eat. These days, I don't do, but the larger shell mollusks is a highly prized and hard to harvest the larger mollusks, as the local culture has pretty much harvested from the easiest shorelines in Hawaii. Enjoy them in Jeju. Mahalo.
The food looks delicious and the authentic gelato is a frozen custard. I like you and your mom showing us around. I've only tried salmon and tuna sashimi I prefer the tuna.
Totally... all looks incredible. I was lucky to have mackerel sashimi once (not in Korea) but now I need to go try it in Jeju.... the island really does seem like a food paradise!

nah, she is part of dooby's production team now. she knows what she signed up for and she is the most supportive employee anyone can ever hope for❤
She is patiently waiting to eat 😂

A moment to appreciate all the camera works, description of all the different content and her silliness, the vibes are amazing 💕love the vlog style 😚
Why? In what world is this “crazy?”
Mama Dooby is truly awesome, always love when she pops up in vlogs!!! Thanks for sharing all the wonderful places you visit and eat at
Your sytle is truly amazing, I love how extensively you explain each dish and the flavor to it.
You can get that skill for a low low price of USD$400,000 (a Food Science degree from Cornell).
I went to so many of these spots during my travels to Jeju island, I forgot how magical that place is. God, that Abalone porridge was so good too!
I highly recommend visiting the Bonsai Garden and Seongsan ilchubong, for anyone looking to go!

Hence, the joke.
That’s Tina’s version of giving us hearts 😂
That's Dooby salute or secret hand sign.

I loved this one, my wife just started watching a K-Drama that’s centered in Jeju and it was so cool to see the culture. Thanks 🎉
Incredible food shown here, but the mackerel sushimi raw stood out for me. An excursion to Jeju Island certainly looks well worth the effort.
