When Sissi hears strange noises coming from the boiler room, she is convinced that Kadic Academy is haunted. When our favourite snob organises a pathetic seance in the basement, XANA sends out a specter. Panic spreads throughout the school! The pupils are all convinced that Kadic’s infamous ghost is making a come-back! Our heroes, on the other hand, know perfectly well that it’s just another of XANA’s schemes and that to destroy the ghost, they must deactivate the tower…but how will they get to the factory? - บันเทิง

These kids have a strong sense of nobility. Yumi has been woken up multiple multiple times over in the middle of the night by Jeremy, and its always an "I'll be right there!", and now Ulrich staying to Earth to stick with Jeremy, again without hesitation. Odd and Aelita were MVPs this episode. Odd for finding the tower without any sort of scanner or help from Jeremie and getting Aelita out of a hopeless situation, and Aelita for balling up her fists and just charging straight through two Tarantulas and making it to the tower by herself and no vehicle.
for real we need a third series!

I'm convinced at this point that Odd is the only one who genuinely enjoys fighting on Lyoko and getting to be a badass fighting an evil homicidal AI every week. The others do it because they have no choice, but Odd just loves this shit.
Odd is so lucky to have an actual hoverboard. This is back in the early 2000's and now we're in 2021 and we still don't have such hoverboards and that overbike models. Nope, but we have a ton of iPhones, Alexas and etc. Man, this isn't what I was expecting in 2003.

I just realized. They revealed at the end of episode, there was a real ghost. Meaning one of two things, either XANA just didn't put a lot of thought into the design of this Specter and just made it creepy as hell. Or even more terrifying, cooler and, more likely XANA POSSESSED A FREAKING GHOST!!!
That is horrifying and Amazing at the same time.

I gotta be honest, when I first saw this episode all those years ago I thought Xana just possessed a bunch of ashes and soot at the bottom of the furnace, but realizing he may have actually possessed an actual ghost is way more terrifying.
He either possessed the ghost or decided to attack at the same time the ghost made its presence aware to make them think he was the ghost. Notice that you can hear the ghost moaning when the specter appears. It's the exact same moan that is heard at the end of the episode.

I love the fact that Aelita has finally finally realized that they aren't trying to kill her. They're just shooting at her to at best intimidate her. She realistically should have slowly walked to the tower and all those two could have done is meekly intentiously miss her over and over again as she calmly walks into the tower. Xana kinda needs her alive and having two monsters blow her into scrap data isn't a good idea.

You know, if we take that last bit at the end as being confirmation that ghosts exist in Code Lyoko's world, then that would greatly impact the nature of their physical reality, which to me makes Xana's ghosts more believable (even if they dont need to be, they dont have to be scientifically accurate). Just food for thought.

Well I do, and I honestly think this episode would've been a good spot to see them interact as friends and not rivals. Maybe if we have this episode open up with them racing each other or something and then once that's done, William invites Ulrich to the boiler room to hold the ritual because the former heard about the rumors of Leon Corbet. And yes, I know, it seems a little weird to have William be the one who would do this and not Sissi, but I'd rather have this happen instead of William and Ulrich not interacting as friends at all.

I think some writers forget about the separate floors deal, lol. It’s like how the scanners being deactivated tends to switch from causing the warriors real pain, preventing them from devirtualized or if it causes perma death or not.

The timer section of sector 5 always gives me anxiety just because of episodes like this where they don't quite make it. One of my favorite parts of the show, yeah they usually end up saving the day, but that doesn't mean they don't fail from time to time
Anyone else notice that there's some episodes in which the Lyoko Warriors can enter towers, and others in which they can't?
Depends on what type of Tower it is.
I think they can enter them, the physics are wacky though. Ulrich sprints and jumps off of one once instead of flying right through it.
I think they can do it whenever, they just never really have a reason to since only Aelita can interact with the consoles inside
