Here is a thought. On your review of this product a year or so ago, I think I remember you making note that you were concerned with the fact that an uphill situation could be risky, as the trailer could possibly overpower the tug and create a run-away trailer. I don't think you put it exactly that way but, that was the way I took it. Regardless there is a simple solution to this concern. If you trailer has trailer brakes, incorporate a plug for your RVR to actuate the trailer brakes. Instead of a whole remote unit redesign just add a single add on 12v battery pack attached to a trailer pigtail that will match your trailer harness and a wireless button that you could attach to your controller. Trailer breaks could be activated at the flip of a switch or even better use a Potentiometer (POT Knob) and dial in breaks as needed. I have a spinal cord injury that causes constant pain, but I am thankful that pain has been the only limiting factor. I wish I could afford one it would make my life so much easier! Maybe Trailer Valet will send me out one and I can make a video to demonstrate exactly what I am talking about. Thanks Ron for the informative video on this great product. PS ......I bought your workbench plan years ago and built it. I have had continued use of it now for many years. The function and flexibility your design is second to none and affords me to work on projects right by myself without having to have an extra set of hands.

Cool unit. Run time of 30min. seems short if to be used to move equipment around several times a day (in my case a 35' towable lift on a jobsite). I looked up the Traxx X2 and it seems more applicable for my needs.

Hi Ron. Which electric tongue jack do you have on your trailer?? Are you able to open your tailgate with your trailer hooked up and clear the jack?

Zach, my tongue jack isn't electric. It can be raised and lowered with a battery drill or crank handle. amzn.to/3fP4mqx
