    This guy and his demeanor makes me want to avoid his company. Seems to me he wasn't comfortable speaking about the features and benefits of his product to 650k people that are certainly his target consumers for one of two reasons: either his product doesn't have many features and benefits over his competitors or he BS's to the public about his product at these trade shows. Either way, his attitude makes it out like he doesn't want any wide visibility on what he does. Marketing fail.
    Stan's reaction (super cordial and even gives the rep another shot to regroup and try again) amplifies how bad the rep's interaction was. I would be surprised if the company doesn't reach out to Stan, after marketing does their "due diligence" lol

    It always amazes me when I've encountered these kinds of sales staff that just don't see the potential benefit of "controlling the message" by giving you an informative, easy to understand breakdown of thier product, in a professional but otherwise friendly manner and are willing to answer any and all kinds of questions no matter how silly it might seem, all to ensure the potential buyer has all the information they need.... just like every single one of the other sales people Stanley spoke to did, before Don came on the scene.
    I used to be a salesman and the moment you said "maybe you'd like to give us more information about the product" and he said "no I'm not sure I want to" I was like - he should be fired. The right answer was "absolutely sir, it would be my pleasure and thanks for giving me the opportunity to showcase our fine trailers for you and your audience".
    I've forwarded this YT to Floe International with a tweet, be interesting if they respond or reach out to you Stanley.

This morning, there are over 56K views, and only 3 comments. They obviously scrubbed his response, and ALL of the negative comments, apparently trying to do damage control. Next step is for them to turn the comments off. If you can, tell Don to pound sand, there's no way I would do business with that company after this interaction, and how they handle the heat they get from your viewers.

      I really don’t know what Grade the Aluminum was but was pretty much built with 1 1/2” to 6” steel bolts , it looked nice but after 1 years use it started making more noise going down the road hauling a Side By Side, you could grab most Bolts and shake them side to side ! Even in the thick wall tubbing on the under carriage the bolts Wobbled the holes ! Never really over loaded it or abused it but chuck holes in roadway or dirt roads pot holes really took a ponding on the Aluminum!
      After 1 year half use as is trailer I took it back to the Dealer that sold me the Side By Side and Trailer , the owner had the same thoughts as I , he said it’s not right and told me to leave it here so he can get the Trailer shop owner up to look at it , a week went by and received and call from Bike Shop , he said the owner won’t take it back and stuck it on the bike shop since they sold it to me !!! 1 day went by and received a call back from bike shop , the owner said he will give me 100 percent refund WOW cool . All said and done he dose not sell any more Aluminum Bike Trailers anymore !!!

Especially since he didn’t know who Stanly was or what the intention was. A lot of companies shy away from answering questions on camera when they are just put on the spot like that for a lot of reasons, anything they say can be taken out of context, the guy is the VP and doesn’t care about stanly or his audience.
      Your POV is redundant and ridiculous. If you went to ANY company for 90% of the products you use on a daily basis and put a camera in their face they would do the same thing. I doubt you have even been to many trade shows if any, but it’s pretty uncommon to see a guy asking everyone questions while filming. Most of the people at these are actual companies looking for contracts for their businesses for private or commercial use. I have a Floe snowmobile trailer and it's a well made trailer! This video doesn't give me a good feeling if I would need any customer service from them though! I will also say that you have to be cautious about everything these days, because you never know what kind of scam someone is trying to pull and you can't blame him for being cautious. With that being said and you telling him what was going on, on & off camera, that guy blew his opportunity to showcase his products to a huge audience for free! On top of it made him and his company look bad. I'm betting he'd be offended if you started asking him financial questions about his business, but he apparently didn't think it was an issue asking you those questions. WOW!

I admit I was impressed with the build quality. They have two versions, I got the more expensive one. It was only like $30 or $40 more and had a higher load capacity. It had Carlisle tires and brand name hubs. It was only about $400 bucks. If you don't need a BIG trailer, it's pretty darn good. • @gsettlemyre
      @gsettlemyre 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s where GVW differs from GVWR.
      What's the difference between GVWR and GVW? The gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) is the maximum amount of weight the trailer is able to safely hold and transport, as rated by the manufacturer. The gross vehicle weight (GVW) is how much the trailer and its payload weighs together.
      Always pay attention to the GVW, after calculating the GVWR.

    • @MrBigblueford
      @MrBigblueford 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@gsettlemyre I know the difference as I've been doing this stuff for 30 years, I commented on this because the salesperson referred to the gross weigh on a trailer of 14,000 lbs whereas that the gross weight and lots of rookies think they are getting a 14,000 lb dump trailer whereas that's not the case but the sales person wants to make a quick sale so they use thr higher number to trick the person into buying the trailer only for them to find out later by a state trooper when they get forced to run over a scale.

Everyone was climbing on the John Deeres, etc (which was encouraged); I went over to the Kubota display and sat on a tractor and two seconds later the Kubota guy said 'That's enough, get down". Also I have no use for a one trick pony (the wing wall enforced light weight 14K, I want to be able to haul palletized goods), nor do I for a company that will not go on the record as to why the features of their trailer are better than what is already available.
