2 MILE DANCE WORKOUT | Beginner Low Impact | At Home Workout | Improved Health

  • Today's workout is a little bit longer than last week. This is a 2 mile dance workout (or you can consider it a 2 mile walk). Whatever you consider it, it's exercise that is getting your heart healthy and is great for your mental health, too! I hope this brings happiness to your day.
    I'm having so much fun creating these 'at home workouts' for you! I am always happy when I am dancing. Each week I'll increase the distance by a half mile. I figured doubling the distance would be too much for some people so hopefully the half mile increments will work for those of you who are trying to go a bit further each week. Take your time increasing the distance and do whatever works best for YOU!
    This 2 mile dance is a total step count of 4668 steps. I hope you enjoy yourself and just have fun with the workout.

      Congrats on completing the workout, AND the 15 lb weight loss! I can ‘hear’ the excitement in your written words which is awesome. Curious, have you tried my interval training series? I think you will be pleasantly surprised with your results. With the program, you can go at your own pace so it’s great for many different fitness levels.

    I'm 21 years old, and I've been following these workouts ever since the beginning of summer! I've lost around 20 pounds doing so, all thanks to you!       75 and rockin' the dance floor:) I love that you're staying strong and active, Jan. I loved NZ when I travelled there. I spent two months travelling around when I was 25 and went back again for a few weeks a few years later. My plan is to return in 5-8 years time.

    Attempting to play "catch and release", emphasis on the release, with the head cold I caught. Noticed this one dance workout which was new to me and just the right amount of steps to round up today's quota. Your gratitude reminder resonated. A lifelong friend's husband is losing his battle to cancer. He would give anything to be able to do this. Suddenly a stupid cold is a minor annoyance. Thank you, Jules, for reminding us what's important.

    My fitbit says "you did it" . Got out of my 30 minute comfort zone and did this 40 minute workout. Thank you for challenging my cardio and flexibility with modifiable lunges, high kicks, and squats.

    So I had to see a physiotherapist this week because I've got sciatica and arthritis and they don't seem to be easing up. He was so impressed with the variety of exercise I am still doing in spite of the discomfort. I have been so worried that if I stop I will seize up completely but also afraid of aggravating these conditions. I modified some of your exercises but he was happy for me to continue working out with you daily. Thank you Jules

      Thanks so much for your feedback, Clare. I'm glad to read that you're modifying exercises as needed and happy that you can continue with me! On days when you're noticing the sciatica more, the gentle or beginner level workouts are always available as an option when your body says the 'intermediate' workouts might be too much. It sounds like you know your body well and what it can handle.

    23, 01 2023 Here I am and enjoying myself. I guess, I will be just happy to move I have given up on getting toned. It' too much work. I just do fun exercises that move my whole body and get me out of my chair. I visit a few different trainers on TH-cam and love them all. Today, yours was the first I saw and I did it. Thank you, Jules. And I will have nice sleep. For some time now, exercising slipped into the evening instead of the morning, so this is usually one of the last things I do before going to sleep. So, for me it is always 'have a good night' instead of a good day!

    Jules Thanks for coming up with these videos. I have loss wt from just exercise with you. Im retired and packed on the pounds during COVID. Im 71 and gym is off the table for me now. Im a germaphobe and i see people not wiping the exercise. Since giving up the gym. i exercise plan is Dance 35 minutes , 3-4 days and weights for 2 days.. I ;love the music. it keeps me motivated. i have been dancing for 10 months lose 37 lbs. Thanks Jules

    I took your advice Jules and slowed down to let my heartbeat come down (when I got too hot) and that really helped a lot. Also the dance moves in between the regular moves also helped me. It was a fun workout and I was happy to finish it feeling good! Thanks!

    Nothing better to do for myself on a cold, snowy winter morning (2-12-2022). I do 2 of your videos every day. I especially love the 2 that I found with some Elvis songs in them. I do your work-outs bare footed as I only wear shoes when I leave the house. Mama said I was born with bad feet & corrective shoes as a child never helped. I've tried everything as a mature adult now and nothing works. I now have sesamoiditis & plantar fasciitis in my feet. The only time they stop hurting some is when I am bare footed. My rooms in my house are all carpeted. With all of the other health issues that I have I am always proud of myself when I finish a work out. Thank you so much for making these videos for us to be able to do at home :)

I'm sorry to hear about the pain in your feet...I'm surprised you haven't been able to find shoes that help. Have you tried fitville shoes? I know they're designed for wide feet and for other foot issues. I am happy to read you are proud of yourself when you finish a workout...that's awesome.       @@ImprovedHealth I have never heard of those shoes but I have had cheap to very expensive shoes and many different types of insoles & treatments from foot specialist. Treatments just put me in worse pain than I already had. I just retired 11 months ago & did lots of walking working at Walmart. Best shoes that half way helped were skechers. I have boxes of shoes. Wear them once & right back in box. Living now on social security can't afford any more shoes.

    I love this! There are some parts that I substitute like the knee ups but I continue. I love the amount of time on this one and the stretches at the end. I hope you continue to be on TH-cam because it has made such a change for me. Thank you so much!❤

    Hi this was an excellent work out. I am 60 with health issues and was thrilled i could complete it. My one request is to let us know the upcoming exercise so the changeover is smooth. Today i lost a few seconds moving into the next one. A lot of your videos do have... Coming up next...which helps😊

      Hi Ruth, I wasn't experienced enough with editing when I created this one, but in all of my workouts now I have a preview window to help with the transition. Unfortunately when videos are already up, I can't edit them. Hopefully you'll enjoy the newer videos with the preview window:)

    i didn't think i could go further than 30mins with my mild ongoing back probs but i did it, so far twice. i like that u can dance every 2nd half min through out the entire workout here. mind you there are some i cannot do due to my back still recovering and regaining strength but it's really great that you inform your audience to change a certain movement if they cannot do the ones you're doing for something more for our liking instead due to this and that we might be going through physically. i do like the raising the knee high to the chest as i feel i need to work on my hamstrings, another reason why i feel my back stiff but hey, we're getting there! this may be my favorite workout vid so far in this channel, there are still a lot more vids to check out that's for sure. thank you!

    I enjoyed this a lot! I added some arm movements because My arms felt a little stiff (probably from swimming yesterday) and it helped loosen them up. I loved all of the dancing.

      Hi! An active recovery day can be different for everybody depending on their fitness level. If you usually do a lot more for working out in a day, then this could be recovery:)

    Thank you Julie! Awesome workout. I was wondering if you can do a short video for triceps, losing flabby arms. I did this video most part with 3 lbs weights in my hand. ❤❤❤but I need to loose my flabby parts of my arms
