    efficiency is way more important than peak performance since your SoC almost never runs at max frequency to preserve battery

    unfortunately things are even more complicated than that. SoC manufacturers are making chips that use a lot of power and produce heat. mobile phone companies can't get rid of the heat and thus create softwares to throttle the processor so it won't cook your phone. but these softwares are programmed to distinguish your daily apps from benchmarking apps so let the benchmark abuse your device to get the highest score but when you decide to run a game that software will slow your device. so you are paying for the latest SoC but if you live in a hot climate actually can't use your phone at 100 percent power.

    Antutu checks graphics. Geekbench CPU. None of that includes RAM speed. S21 uses 2700 Mhz, but iphone 13 pro 2100 Mhz. So why iphones so high ranked? And yes, scores between OS are not direct comperable

    Ive owned Redmi note 8 pro 300k+ AnTuTu
    Now pixel 3a xl and it's way faster with half the AnTuTu score
    I am thinking to buy oppo a31 for a family member he doesn't play games just use it daily, is it good phone ?

    • @TechTakeaway
      @TechTakeaway  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Aymen, OPPO a31 for a family member who doesn't game at all will be good. Ensure you go for 6 GB RAM variant and 128 GB storage. Else the family member will find storage becoming full quickly with a 64 variant.
      The screen on a31 isn't that great, it has a low PPi count and lower brightness with 720×1600 resolution.
      I will recommend checking out Redmi Note 11 and series around there before making the oppo purchase. As I feel specs of Redmi note will offer better value for money
