Good video, a lot of people buying phones see a higher mp count and simply think it’s better. Specifically budget phones , oftentimes their cameras kinda suck, but they give them high mp counts in order to trick customers. A LOT of people don’t even realise that many expensive Sony cameras use lenses that are like 12-24mp
Last dedicated camera I used was a 10 MP point and shoot. Even then, the photo and video quality of it surpassed any high end phone camera. Save perhaps for the Nokia Pureviews.
Here’s the thing with you home cameras…they are always with you and they do take some wonderful pictures for being so convenient. With that said, I have to explain to people who I also have a camera when “my phone takes better pictures” sometimes it’s just about the experience and something a phone never has done is get me into the creative thought process like a camera does! Wonderful video and I wish people would understand more about the megapixel claims when it’s not everything!
man I'm so happy I found your channel while researching for a video I'm making on OnePlus and the OnePlus 11! I love your style, appreciate the paranormal/xfiles type of intro, your delivery and editing is wonderful. I cannot express enough how happy I am to have found your channel which will also serve as great inspiration for things I can do to improve my youtube videos!
share this video to your friends so they can learn a thing or two! Our videos are shot on a 12MP sensor and I dare to wager our quality is probably better than what they can do. XD
Oke question... Can we upgrade the lens of say Redmi Note 8 to higher resolution lens provided the shape and size are compatible??? Please make more videos about this 🙏
omgh tysm! finally a video that made me somewhat understand about what i should look for to get a good camera! tbh my brain hurts a bit now but thats just a skill issue in my part lolol honestly you've made me somewhat understand even to a noob like me, great job fr on this video XD i am definetly subscribing
THX for an amazing educational video! I have a question: can anyone suggest maybe a "class of smartphones" that aimed mainly to photography, and not for videogames at all (but for video and some browser)? My target is to minimize non-practical things in order to get the nicest camera I can afford to myself but probably by means of a worse processor or less memory...
can you teach us how to use our phone camera more effectivly. Can we choose between the three four cameras we have. and how to choose one to take different pictures. thank you
At the end of the day, normal good picture, any phone does the job well. At least mid and above. If you really ask for the quality, go camera. Handphone camera never beats camera. NEVER!
bro I laughed when you said "equilevent" instead of "equivalent" :D Other than that, amazing video!!! Exactly what I was looking for. I was wondering how can my phone have a 26mm lens when being only 8mm think lol :D they never said it was the full frame "equilevent" lol :D Thanks bro, great job! It also says F1.8 though, which is NOT the full frame equivalent... So they only write the equivalent when it's BENEFICIAL to them... TYPICAL SCAM MARKETING. Wouldn't be so impressive if they wrote the f-stop is something like F15, right... :D I am yet to calculate how much is it exactly.
A 24 or 16mp sensor from a Sony camera is better than the 108mp from the phones, I've been telling those to my friends and they won't believe me, now I have proof lmao
Shane Tan , u make my day , learn a ton of knowledge in this weejio ,btw Shane which brand has the best smartphone camera , is it the "fruit brand" ?TQ Mobhouse for this video content #LoveYou3000
Fruit brand is one of the best, especially when it comes to video. But ultimately when it comes down to Fruit vs robot, it very much depends on which ecosystem u wanna go to.
I had my mouse on the playback speed ( to accelerate this video ) but I didn't use it because the information was important and delivered with humor and intelligence" Who said learning has to be boring
Because camera sensors can go much larger than 1" to capture more detail at lower image noise levels. However, I think it's only useful if: 1. You take photos or videos professionally 2. You really like taking photos or videos and are interested in levelling up from a phone Otherwise, just use your phone.
even as a filmmaker your explanation still barely gets through haha not sure if the beginners will understand. Maybe too many topics and too short time.
Your video was exactly what I was searching for. Also, even though it was very technical, you made it fun and informational. Thank you!
Glad you found this video helpful, bro
This video needs to have a million views.. So much work put into it. I hope u stay motivated to keep pushing more high quality content
Thank you so much for your support, bro.
i didn't realise it didn't lol
the quality is exlelent i also belive this should be in th emilions of views

Welcome abroad mate!

Perfect! Exactly what I was wondering!! Thank you & love your delivery :-) keep up the good work!

I don't think that point and shoot digicam can beat Google Pixel phones.

Thanks matey!
Wow this educational video was very helpful please do more about tech
In your accent: Very entertaining
Would like to see more in depth videos about technical aspects of each
Finally, someone said it! Megapixels doesn't mean quality!!!! Always being mocked whenever I say that!
share this video to your friends so they can learn a thing or two! Our videos are shot on a 12MP sensor and I dare to wager our quality is probably better than what they can do. XD
@@MOBHouse shared on fb d 🤣
ikr! i usually shut them up by asking them which phone camera is the best, then they usually ans Apple and then i hit them with the 12MP fact.
Thank you! I learned so much from one video rather than from watching ten.
Wow 😲 thanks for going into so much details I learned a lot ☺️❤
thanks man

So glad this video helped you. Thanks for the support!
Good video. But i dont think you needed a fullframe camera A7s3 to shoot it 😀.
bro can you make a video on the different times of cameras on a phone?
like telephoto, macro, ultrawide etc
it would be a great help
Editor made a boo boo at 13:21
I know how to spell Aperture.
So leave me alone keyboard warriors~ 🙃
Amazing job! Thank you!
Thanks mate
Good explanation. I was looking for what is 1/1.56", 0.75µm. I found it here. Thanks a lot.

This mi11 Ultra was my go to for the longest time bro
Vivo X70 Pro Plus, Vivo X80 Pro and Pixel 6 Pro I'd say are the best options for photography
Mi12s Ultra has the largest camera sensor at the moment.
this video is details enough to change title to : General Cameras Explained - Technically
some of the stuff does apply to general cameras la...
best intro of youtube fr
Please make a review soon about the upcoming Pixel 6a. This is the first time I saw ur vid and decided to subscribe. Thank you
i'll see if i can get my hands one
Song playing at 9:35?
can you teach us how to use our phone camera more effectivly. Can we choose between the three four cameras we have. and how to choose one to take different pictures. thank you
Yea! I could potentially do a video on this yes
Explained very well , thank you
Nice video, so easy to learn
thanks man! appreciate it!
Hey can you make a video about the depth sensor on these phones
hm... that would actually be interesting.
@@MOBHouse I know right, I don't see creators on youtube talking about that camera lens
Yes, explain sensors more in detail please.
And ISPs
im just curious about f settings on phone 😅
I am now using the Xiaomi 10 and the camera raw capture amazed me very much for the capability phone cameras nowadays.
quite surprisingly good Xiaomi stuff!
Great video. Thanks
Great Vídeo!
Wow excellent teacher!
good video. more should have watch this
Thanks matey. Please share it out. Would really appreciate it
Great job!
thanks bruh
that intro was genius ... wish much success for u
Unfortunately he is underatted :(
So much effort❤😊
equilavent?
This is great! Now do one for dummies 🙏
I thought that was pretty dummy proof? We even put pictures and all... XD
At the end of the day, normal good picture, any phone does the job well. At least mid and above. If you really ask for the quality, go camera. Handphone camera never beats camera. NEVER!
i'm quite surprised how much things have improved over the years
@@MOBHouse agree, improved alot. Now is just to see whose image logic processing is the best, rather than hardware competition.
Why i didnt find u sooner? 😂🔥
s21 ultra and loving it :)

"Robot" means what ? Android phones ?
I'm satisfied with 5mp Telemacro camera of Xiaomi 11
good stuff
started subscribing this utube channel.. 😆🙏

Thanks so much mate. Really appreciate the comment.
So why do 30,000 cameras and 30,000 lenses still exist when a phone does the same thing
Because camera sensors can go much larger than 1" to capture more detail at lower image noise levels. However, I think it's only useful if:
1. You take photos or videos professionally
2. You really like taking photos or videos and are interested in levelling up from a phone

yo yo yo whatsup man
hey mang
yes explain more in detail.
This was a basic overview, a more detailed video would be like 3 hours long.
you actually said "equilavent" 13:57
Haha did I?
By the way, I have the iPhone 11 Pro.
Nokia N8 approves this Video.
Pixel lovers❤
I subscribed cause we have similar names
What's your name mate?
@@MOBHouse Oh! I rewarched and it looks like we have THE SAME name! Hello fellow Shane.
You have natural lipsticks.
haha yes, my wife said the same thing XD
Can you explain life … I like how you explain things
Big number, doesn"t mean good. Small number, doesn't mean bad.
even as a filmmaker your explanation still barely gets through haha not sure if the beginners will understand. Maybe too many topics and too short time.
Got time stamp ma bro can slowly watch
i understand nothing
shoulda partied less and actually listened in class.
