hello superstars! we're back with another episode in the traveling solo in Thailand series! in this episode I talk about triggers and some tools I learned to detach, manifestation, law of attraction and a meeting with a new friend. If you missed my last vlog I have decided to pack up and move to Thailand for a month on the island of Koh Samui to work on my spirituality, physical and mental health. I will be working remotely here and vlogging my days and lessons learned. One big one is around detachment and letting go (journaling helps with this). Solo traveling is one of my favorite things and I hope to inspire you to travel and spend time living alone in a foreign country. This is episode one in the thailand vlogs so make sure to subscribe to follow alone :)

I am an introvert and artist and solitude is key for me. I have traveled the world and it is my fav thing to do.... let go of patterns and who I think I am to discover more about myself. Restoring my energy is key.

I totally relate to being hyper sensitive to noise. What’s helped me feel less triggered is building compassion for the person(s) being loud, especially babies. I was on a seven hour train yesterday that had a fussy baby. Normally I’d be pissed but I kept imagining the baby was in great discomfort because they were sick, plugged in my headphones and allow myself to separate from the situation. It takes a lot of practice but it’s helped me a lot.
The moment by the ocean where you felt like twins or spiritual sisters - I have had that exact experience with a friend of mine and it’s a BEAUTIFUL thing!! Haha it’s a wild feeling to recognize that you’re looking into a mirror. When you truly see yourself in another, you see yourself more purely.
The story about meeting that girl as you were writing, soooo effing cool when things like that happen it’s like a little universal reminder that this stuff is real and does work!! Sometimes when I’m deep into healing or feeling like things may not be going as well as I’d hoped, something like that’ll happen and it brings back that bit of magic. Love it! Oh ya, and I was the 444th like 😁🫶
A subscriber of my channel contacted me and we went for a coffee and she ended up being one of my best friends. It's so cool when this happens. ❤
I had a friendship experience like this last summer in Portugal!! We were in the same city only for 5 days and we tried to do the most of it cause we felt connected instantly . It’s such a rare thing to be in that same vibe with someone that you just met, it’s crazy and magical ✨
actually teared up watching you do you ritual with your friend. It’s crazy because I had the exact same memory 7 years ago on a solo trip. Burned what I wanted to let go on a little paper and prayed to the stars with some friends on a beach in Koh Tao during a full moon, those days I felt closer myself. I’ve been watching you for three years now and so many synchronicities of the things you say or do remind me who I am & how I can return to my truth love u shayna

Bring back the "Salon " of Creatives and Spiritual Seekers!!! Paris will be the perfect place for that XXX I feel the need to start up my Mirthy Moon-days again ...not done since the Great Panini (pandemic) ...would get together on MOONday afternoons , have coffee and samosas ......would share stories and issues and LAUGHTER...then do Oracle and Tarot readings for each other...the reading would always confirm what we had talked about .....and then for cups of tea using My fancy Tea cups and Tea pot and treats to share and ground our energies . I miss that ...thanks for the reminder and prompt xxx PS I can relate about loud noises , especially Children crying ...may be triggered by my childhood trauma ...any one day I was working at a market in a shop, heard a Child screaming loudly , so I went out and saw a Father trying to stop it...so I immediately sent Mother Mary to help Him ...the Child STOPPED RIGHT AWAY!! Freaky but cool and glad I listened to My "Whisperings" and responded with LOVE! Blessings from The Goddess in many Forms !! xx from New Zealand

Omg great advice about making decisions based on love and not fear. I’ve always wanted to be a nurse based on love but I had a lot of fear attached to the industry so I just allowed it to hold me back and keep me from pursuing something that I know would greatly benefit from my participation. Anyways I’m going to get the ball rolling and trust myself, my intuition about this as a career for myself. I’m letting go of my fears. Alas as your friend said, what I wish for wants me more!!! Girl, I can so relate with the solitude. I've been living in France (I'm American too 😉) for almost 8 years and I love my alone time but it's also been a challenge - especially since my spiritual journey began back in 2018, finding others on this path... I just don't even know where to begin as it seems that people openly sharing about this aspect of life is harder to come by in France. But I truly believe without a doubt that my people are here somewhere and we'll be united soon! Thank you for always being open and vulnerable with us here - the world needs us 💖

I took my first solo trip to France this February. It was so wonderful and I scheduled in enough time to recharge and be alone and not beat myself up about not going out enough.

Dear Shayna, on the subject of being triggered by the sounds of children playing (which you've mentioned a few times) and the older men patronising you I'd like to share some hard-learned lessons if I may?
As a much older woman I have finally learned that those two triggers in particular come from a deep insecurity about your power as a woman.
The empowered woman has no fear of openly loving the innocence and joy of children, animals, and Nature.
Older men can be experienced as wise protectors and advisors because they too have advice to share, as we older women do.

I've been a long time subscriber and have found it quite interesting how your accent has evolved over your time living in Paris. I'm not sure you have even noticed it or if anyone ever points it out to you, but your english vowels definitely have a french twang. I digress, it's interesting how your environment affects your energy and accent, as that twang is so much less pronounced in this video. just food for thought lol
