Bro that hook trick on that rig was genius! I've been fishing for Croaker, Spot, perch and many other species most of my life and I'm 41 now with that rig but never knew this trick. Sweet! 💪
Thanks man! I used to get so irritated with the hooks getting stuck when I cast. Eventually I just figured it out somehow. Glad it helps! Hopefully you’re loading up on those perch/spot. Good luck out there!👊🎣
@@FamilyReelTV Thank you buddy! Actually I haven't fished for them in awhile but I need to.. we really focus more on Northern Snakehead, Bass and Huge catfish.
Awesome video man. That's awesome to see you and your kids fishing together. That's awesome to see you building memories with the kids. I am a father of five boys and they love playing around water. We love to fish , kayaking , kayak camping , and anything that has to do with water. You all were catching some nice fish man. At one point I thought your son was going to step on the fish with his wide foot. You're Son fish the same way we fish Barefooted 👣 which is awesome. My family and I are Barefooted 👣style family because I was born with very very extremely wide feet & all 5 of my kids were born with wide feet too. It is a shame how people just trashed the area they fish at and ruin it for everybody else. I totally agree with you on that situation. Again good video man. Good to see Father and Son quality time making memories. Looking forward to checking out the rest of your video.
Thanks for watching. Wow 5 boys! Everyone is shocked when I tell them 3 boys. Lol. It's always fun to get out on the water. We're really lucky to have so many great places to fish around here. That place was one of my favorites years ago. It's a shame what's happened out there. At least the fishing is still good though. I guess for as long as it's still open. Hope you guys are catching some nice ones.
A toad fish. I caught one in Corpus Christi. So it looks like it isn't only Texas fishermen that trash all the bank spots. Hard to find a place that hasn't become a public dumpster
It was really sad. I used to go there all the time and it was clean. It wasn’t as crowded because there were more places to fish. There was trash everywhere!! 😡
It's an oyster toad, very common in that area. Those were some nice white perch, should've kept a couple and cook em up. They're delicious. Great video
Thanks! I should’ve kept some of those white perch. The kids won’t eat fish unless I make them into nuggets. I’ve never done nuggets with perch before. How do you usually cook them?
If you like perch and spot it’s awesome! It was a little overcrowded unfortunately. You fish the Bull Burton? I like that place but if I’m driving that far I’m going for snakeheads. Lol
Hey brother great video, I have never seen an Oyster Toad Cracker so small. I have never fished Kent narrows, I keep saying I'm gonna hit that area with my kayak
Yeah that toad was little compared to the ones in OC. Man your kayak would be perfect out at Kent narrows! Striper come through there in the spring too. That was my go to spot 15 years ago. Lol
Did he force you out of spot 1? There was legislation stating that you could still fish their this year. I haven’t been up there in a couple months just curious if he was telling you to move from underneath the bridge completely I know if it’s crowded it’s hard to fish.
He forced us out on that side of the bridge. We were on the west side. Tried going to the east side but there were so many people there was no way we could fit in, so we had to go up the street.

@@fabfishing7422 Lol. That’s funny! I’ve been doing the same thing. It’s hard to go for perch when you can get on a snakehead 30 min away.
@@FamilyReelTV Amen to that buddy! 💪
Right?! I was both grateful for the tip and dumbstruck for not thinking it up myself!
Mantap
The perch biting at Matapeake?
Great tip on rigging the hook/leader!!
Thanks! Good luck!
That hook idea on the arm of the rig is gold man thanks
Thanks man! It really helps keeping them from tangling up
Catch parade. Hell yeah.
😂😂😂
First fish was chills.
That perch was thick!! They were all right along that wall waiting! Lol
very interesting video thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching! Those perch can be a lot of fun
Nice Video
Thanks! 🙏
Always bring a garbage bag or two to clean up the fishing area. Even though it’s not your mess, more effective than reporting it.
Absolutely!! I could’ve filled the entire bed of my truck easy at that place! Thanks for watching
I love that modification to the top/bottom rig!
Thanks! I was so sick of the hooks getting tangled up on the cast
Hey Bro what time of year was this? And thanks for the hook tip... I will be using this very soon...Hopefully Kent is nice to us on the charter
Thanks for watching! It was July/August when we filmed this one. Good luck out there!
@FamilyReelTV appreciate it.. we're going fathers day... I'm will tell captain to take us under the bridge lol
@@romarisewilliams7429 nice! Happy Father’s Day! I’m sure you guys will load up
@@FamilyReelTV same to you!
Bro where is te location for that place 🙏🏻
That’s the Kent Island Narrows. It’s pretty easy to find on the map. Not a lot of places to fish anymore. Under the bridge is the best
Dude when I see trash bro. My blood boils. I haven't had the chance to rip someone a new one. You the man.
Yeah man it’s ridiculous. They literally have trash cans all over the place
Genius way to rig! Blood worms are gross! I love oyster toad fish!
Thanks! Yeah they’re pretty nasty. Those perch love them for some reason. Lol

@@thewillwebster2000 Aw man I never even thought about that! I’m down to try some perch nuggets
My bad homie👊 can't believe I missed this. My bad.
No worries man! You’ve had a busy month!!!
Oyster toad
Thanks
I hate people that ruin spots and our fishing
Man it pissed me off!! Kent Narrows used to be one of my favorite spots!
