Hey am from Delaware, where can I salt water fish n camp?
@@daviano Hey hey welcome to a slice of Maryland. You can camp at point lookout state park and I believe breezy point. Also assateague island in ocmd. There's a few more but im not a camper so I cant be as of much use 😅
Great video. Covered so many places that most people who live in this area aren’t familiar with. Thanks for sharing
Glad you found it helpful 👍🎣
Dude! I’ve been looking for a fishing channel in Maryland! I’ve been to all thoes places and your fishing spots are all pretty good! Keep it up!
Ayooo welcome aboard! 🛫🎣🎣
From a fellow Murylander..I never been to Jonas Green Pier, but the rest of the list i totally agree with. If you know anyone that in the military or retired, get your butt on Pax Naval Base. I never got skunked there yet. You gotta get a base pass online for like $5. Subscribed.
I can get on but it's too far for me. Next year ill go! Thank you appreciate it 🙏
Nice Video, I have caught fish at half those spots and will try a few of the rest, BUT , , , Kent Narrows is East of the Bay Bridge if only just
Nice good luck 👍👍
Awesome! I have hit a few of these, and have a couple to add. Lol. Love it! Fish on!
Very nice. Make sure they're still open some are closed
Great video. This will help a lot of people that are new to fishing and the area. I've fished here my whole life and learned something new. Ocean City is a great place to fish this time of the year. The bigger fish are running through there now. Keep up the great content.
Thanks for your support Tomy. Hopefully we can fish together sometime. I see a lot of people catch monsters on rt 50. I just dont have the time to go to ocean city atm. Definitely more to come 🎣👍
@@ZephyrFishing OC is definitely a bit of a drive for me. I'll be heading back there soon to catch some tog. There are nice rockfish to be caught as well. It would be cool to fish with you sometime. DM or email your contact info. I'll be doing some trips out of PLO and will be looking for people to go.
Will do. Ill definitely be going again to OC before end of year hopefully. Was looking at indian river inlet as well for tog
My sons have gotten into fishing and your videos have been so helpful, subscribed! Can you make an updated of your top 10 for 2023/2024? Thanks!
No change to the list. And if I were to make another video. I would have to go to every single place to fish again. People dont realize the amount of work it took for this video. But im glad you enjoy and hope it was helpful
Thanks!
👍👍💯
Point lookout has lots of cownose rays too and small trout
Yup right now especially
Once again excellent video. I’m curious o see what your winter content will be about.
Thank you, appreciate your support.
I go south 😂im rarely here in the winter
Best fishing video ever! All of the spots!
Trying to expand to other states now! 🎣📈
What rig setup and bait do you recommend for catching striped bass at mantapeake and Roma coke pier?
High low with fresh cut up spot or bunker/alewive
@@ZephyrFishing Thanks man
@@ZephyrFishing Sorry, also, what size and type of hooks? Kind of a newbie to fishing later in life. I have found it really relaxing and mind-clearing.
@@stanleyhelowicz4113 np, yes fishing does that for most. And 7/0 hook
Amazing video! Great job!
Thanks bro! 🎣
Hey Billy, i am gonna go fishing for the last time this summer because i play soccer and my season is abt to start. I just wanted to ask what places are good to catch tons of white perch? I know they are headed out to the bay now. Would matapeake or romancoke be good?
Yes both places are good use small razor clam on small hook. There's also a head boat out of kent narrow they load up on perch too that I haven't got a chance to make a vid on. Technique is shown in my vid
@@ZephyrFishing what place do you think is better right now for the perch? And do you think grass shrimp would work in the bag also? Because I will most likely use grass shrimp and razor clams
In the bay*
@@aaronbenitez1586 grass shrimp is even better tbh if you can get fresh. And im not sure it's still too hot. Never know one day they're at roman next at mata
Great Job Billy. What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Are you going to fish in FLORIDA this winter?
Yessir! Going end of this week. Heard the trout run is on fire down your way
@@ZephyrFishing Maybe in the marshes and Inlets because the water is slightly warmer. I've seen way better Specs runs.
Matapeake is now open for 24 hours.
Caught 21 inch rockfish at Down’s Park today with bloodworms.
Shhh 😅 it's already crowded enough
I live in lexington park md. Point lookout is absolutely hit or miss. Those hit days are a blast. Chased everything from striped bass to speckled trout on the yak. Piney point will bankrupt your gear. Solomons is nice to fish on the yak to get away from the pier. Solomons stacks with people quickly.
Agreed with everything here. Piney is great if you know where to throw 😂
@ZephyrFishing for sure man. The wife and I did the cottages in st micheals. Had a blast on the yaks. Gotta do a bit more eastern shore stuff this season
Dont use metal cable high low or drop rigs off the Solomons pier. Have lost 4 of them within the first 2 casts.
Is fishing still possible in early October for white perch?
Yes it's just getting started for them. Later in the month theyll go in rivers
Is Matapeake good during September for August?
Yes should be good fall 👌
Man this video was very informative!!! I appreciate all you offer. I’m a native Marylander with a new found love for fishing. Hoping to make it to Jonas Green this coming week. Then from there who knows where I’ll end up. Thanks for giving us some major hot spots. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Yessir glad it was helpful 🙏. It's a bit early, I dont go out until mid May depending on what you want to target. Perch are far north spawning currently spot are still in deeper waters and rocks may still be around
@@dougiemac8417 in that case you'll be fine. Catfish are everywhere 👍
@@ZephyrFishing thank you Billy. I appreciate all of your help. 👍🏾👍🏾
@@dougiemac8417 appreciate your support! It wasnt easy making this video. Had to go to all the locations to compile, but im glad im able to help locals and those visiting navigate 🎣. We'll see what this season holds 🤠
Appreciate you sharing everything!!
Of course no problem. Appreciate your support 🎣
I wish in your video you would say what county these peers are in what part of Maryland the county that will help you know where besides the name
Might add that in my comment section. Good suggestion 👍
I just found this channel and subscribed 😊
Thanks for the support 👍
Interesting info. I’d like to to fish more areas , I look forward to seeing where you go
Exploring as much as I can
is the fishing still doable in these places in November? I know I've caught some catfish last year.
The only fish that are running right now are rockfish, catfish, and white perch. Perch are in deeper water now but also more up river this time of year. You'll see a video of me shortly catching perch and catfish. Spot are gone
I never heard of the bait you mentioned except bloodworms. Do you catch yourself or buy from somewhere, do you have any video on getting the bait?
You can buy lugworms from most bait and tackle shops
Love this video.. thanks for it
No problem hoped it helps 💯🎣
@@ZephyrFishing helps a lot.. I live in western Maryland so I don't know many spots outside of where I live or d.c.
@@Dethpool666 glad it does. All these places ive fished already too so if you see one you look go check it out 👍. Worked hard to get this video out
Where is a good spot to launch a kayak? For bigger fish like striper and catfish.
Sandy point state park and drop live bait or jig at pylon where all the birds chill at or go to Ocean city 90 bridge. Big catfish everywhere especially in DC just find a launch
Thanks for making this video.
You got it Smitty 💯
great video. made me appreciate living where I do, 2 minutes from a tributary where I can get perch, mid size cats, rock & massive carps all on the same artificials. Thankfully my spot was not on your list lol :)
Hahaha
At fort small wood we caught barely anything last time probably because we used shrimp and the guy next to us was catching catfish yellow perch spot and white perch 🤯🤯
Bloodworm is king 👌👌. Plenty of catfish there yes!
Billy where is a good place to fish around glen burnie maryland I'm new to this state
Welcome to MD 🤠 you're best bet for saltwater fishing would be fort smallwood, downs park, and jonas green pier. Make your you watch my videos in advance to save you money on downs and smallwood. As for freshwater im not sure im more of a saltwater fisherman. If you're craving crabs buy direct from crabber fvmisspaula
@@ZephyrFishing you got .it's Paula's number
Thank you for letting me know where I can fish yes I'm also saltwater
@@gsuarez177 I follow him on IG and message there. But in the summer you can also crab at smallwood and downs pretty good at both places especially smallwood
Consistently high quality POV videos.
While others are fishing, you are catching.
Hooked on the channel, let's go!!!!!!!!
Never fishing only catching 😂
Kent narrows is great if you know what to use.. I've caught big cat fish and big everything
Lots of schoolies rarely find a keeper from my experience
Thanhs for sharing bro
U got it bro
Do you need license to fish and crabbing how can i reach out to you
Yes to fish. No for crabbing with handline and dip net limit quantity is less without license. Google is your friend
@@ZephyrFishing thank you
Good video the only thing I’d suggest is go back and b-roll a location of each pier on a map for 3 seconds or something.
I have a video on every single pier mentioned but I see what you're getting at
Always amazing videos bro..... I hope we don't see all this places full of trash next year 😶😶😶😶
Appreciate your support brotha. I hope so too 😬🙏🙏
Anything close to ocean city?
Check my MD playlist
As a lifelong Marylander, I will *never* tell anyone my best fishing spots, not without at least $50k in my hands 🤣
🤫🤫
@@ZephyrFishing nosiree, I love your channel but I’m not giving my spots up! Plus they’re all northern Maryland and you seem to fish more along the Eastern Shore than I do. I do wish that the shore was a closer drive than it is, but alas. There’s still good fishing here in Harford County nonetheless!
I wish there were more free access spots to crab. Maryland goes out it’s way to elevate it as a symbol of the state, but the amount of spots for recreational crabbers is sadly few.
I have a decent go of it at Thompson Creek every time i go.....@@philipplouden5892
I'm surprised Matapeake/Romancoke were #2 and #3 for you - the pay-per-hour parking is killer since I'm usually out for many hours when I go fishing
I do really well there but the paid to park does kill me. Rather go there then snag at kent/piney narrow. Anywhere else is too far so the gas and mileage probably will be the same as paying the parking. It's a whole rectangular area for me. If my #2 and #3 doesn't pan out I go to the narrows. I only pay 1hr at a time to see if the fishing is good before loading up the meter cause im always chasing the fish
Anyone know of any fishing classes/lessons in Maryland for kids?
I dont personally know sorry 😐
Bill burton used to be great around 5 years ago but haven’t caught much recently
It's closed now anyways due to structural issues
I want to start fishing, catch and cook on location I live out here in middle river area I think I want to make few content
Nice sounds like a great idea to me
Heyyyyyy point lookout and solomons is my stomping grounds.
Yessir 👍
I live close to Solomons but the pier under the bridge always seems too crowded
@@gator4458 yea dude that place is always mobbed. I usually take the kayaks by the pillars to fish. That pier is shoulder to shoulder.
@@stevenonthewater6070 crazy. I know a spot near the drum point where the water drops off super quick into the pax River channel. Probably good rockfishing from the beach but haven't tried it.
🐐
🤝
Saltwater fishing is great and all but just wait how precious good spots can be when you get into fresh water fishing. Instead of blues and rockfish I’m targeting largemouth/pike/snakehead all while throwing the exact same types of lures. Finding a new spot usually includes google earth and trekking through woods. Saltwater got me into fishing but freshwater is where the passion is for me
Im literally the opposite. I learned how to fish in freshwater. I do go back to it here and there but I definitely prefer saltwater especially in florida.
Nice nice .. ❤️👍🎣🇺🇲
💪💪 yessir
Dood, put the small strippers as well as the small red and black drums back in the water as fast as you can... they get really beat up when you handle them so much... and end up dying just a little later... otherwise good video
👀👀👀👀 yessir
Wait Billy ?! ?!
What's up that's me? Have we met?
Hi
👀
Bill burton, where your car will get broken into
Closed now
Anyone looking for northern md spots. Not here
Conowingo dam
solomons is still 24/7
Yup they just changed it back
Aint no big fish in Maryland...? All these tiny ass fish he pulling up...
Welcome to Maryland 😭
Lol I live like ten minutes away from pt lookout and I catch striper and drum as big as 30’ inches off my dock
@@LordCowbxyRDR oh ya the drum bite is good right now. Ive seen them big ones get pulled up at lookout. Better at night but it's closed
Maryland fishing sucks
