Thanks you for sharing man, i'm a Hard Surface 3d modeler (Polymodel/Subd+Cad) and i always struggle with sculpting because the workflow is entirely different and with mouse i always had some troubles to find proper shapes, that's why i stop using Zbrush year ago but now you actually make me want to use it again, and i know it'll help my concept designs a lot (at least on speed) so i'll be gratefull for more parts of HardSurface sculpt like this video, you're probably one of the very few on youtube who explained the basics really well for anyone to understand. Many users tend to grab Zbrush and use pure hotkeys without explaining the menu's or fundamentals and you get lost really quickly, great video.

I'd like to see how you would finish up this helmet, clean it up to make it smooth, and get it game-ready. I'm currently studying game dev and would love to be able to build armor and weapons. Thanks for the video, it was fun to see how a sketch can turn into a model fairly quickly.

I absolutely agree. I really wish he would have shown techniques on how to really refine the hard surface shapes. The sculpt was still very messy and obviously one of the key aspects of hard surface is super clean looking forms. I'm studying hard surface right now and one of my biggest struggles is achieving those super sharp and clean shapes.
