@@robertosola8624 it’s amazing man. I had the dealer install trd wheels, 33in tires and a leveling kit. Drives amazing, great technology. Thanks for this! I took delivery of a 2021 Tacoma TRD Pro two months ago in 🇨🇦 and after viewing your video I’m questioning why my Dealer did such a terrible job explaining these easy to understand details during their final delivery process. Add to that their complete absence of explaining how/why to deactivate Fob’s (which you covered in a different video) and it’s apparent they engaged in a half hearted effort.
Gerry. Lucky you. I just got my Tacoma two weeks ago. I was given a cheap dealer logo bag with all the manuals inside and was told to enjoy my new truck. This video was very helpful. I definitely need some help on the infotainment system.
@@wecromwell7927 for the arm and leg they sell these for….you think they’d take more interest in “handing off” the new vehicles to purchasers. @@brianruperti I got a 2022 Sport V6, Lunar Rock. I actually got a manual transmission, which is probably the only reason it was still on the lot, but I prefer a manual anyway.
@@brianruperti Thanks man. Forgot to mention I also got the access cab, which was another preference of mine, since I rarely have more than one passenger and I like the 6' bed. I basically just randomly did an inventory search at a local dealer and this one came up and checked all my boxes. It was literally the only new Takoma they had on the lot, and I bought it the next day. Very lucky. Unicorn indeed.
Bought me a SR5 4x4 last month and now I know what buttons to press… thanks … when do I used the 4H and 4LO … it’s rains a lot here at the PNW and pretty soon it’s gonna snow… maybe you can do a tutorial on that part.. thanks again for the video.
Hey congrats on the truck and thanks for watching. 4H is used for snow. I wouldn’t recommend in the rain. Unless it’s rain/snow mix. 4L is used for very slow speeds under 25mph and deeper snow, mud, rock etc. slow rock crawling is in 4L. Going up or down extremely steep hills is 4L at low speed. Hope that helps.
Thanks! For remote starter you will have to install one. I’m pretty confident the Audio plus and Premium Audio were not on the SR5s (which in most Toyotas come with a trial of Remote Connect)
Hey Brian, Brother I need your help again please. How do you change F to C on inside climate control on display..? I am not asking out side. I need to know how to switch F to C on A/C Display.( Above the AC knob.)
Hey yes I got you. Hit menu next to screen, Then setup>vehicle>customize vehicle>AC Or use arrows on steering wheel do go to settings menu on MID, then units, F/C I hope that helps
Thanks! There isn’t a setting, but if you go to www.superbrightleds.com you will be able to buy replacement bulbs that will light your interior up like never before.
At 4:34, your fuel economy screen shows "tank average" and "current." My Jan 2021 Tacoma shows "current" on top and below. Is there a way to change this? I've tried the meter control switch as noted in the User Manual, page 102, but nothing happens.
Good observation. Didn’t even notice that one. The only thing I can think of is that for new vehicles, there might be a part of the PDI process or even from the factory that the mileage is reset after the test run of the vehicle before shipment and that the trips were not reset. But that’s just a guess.
@@freddubois5401 So at night time when the screen is a little bright for my eyes I can turn the screen off to ease the eyes, but still listen to music!
The scrolling vents, similar to my Toyota Matrix, is the best design of any vent I have ever used. Why Toyota doesn’t use this throughout their lineup is a mystery.
I agree. And likely because they want to add variation to keep people interested. I will add, the square vents are also nice because you are able to adjust air flow without changing direction, unlike the scroll vents which change direction as you reduce airflow. But to each their own!
If you’re a serious off roader, terrain select and crawl control would be desirable. Or if you want to skip the horrendous shifting of the automatic transmission, a manual transmission would be desirable. These are all available on the trd off road/pro. However, the limited is a waste of money, I’ll agree with you on that one.
