I’ve been a mechanic for 40 years and i’m on my newest Tacoma, a 2021 TRD OffRoad, i’m at the point where any Tacoma is a good Tacoma! If it fits your needs, enjoy it! If not, mod one! :)
Ok perfect a mechanic! Would it be easy to change the headlights to LEDs for either myself to do/should most mechanics if not all know how to change them?
Dude, I changed my High Beam., Low Beam, and Fog Lamps to LED’s, just twist, pull out, unplug, plug in the new bulbs and place them back int he hole, twist it and you’re done! You can purchased almost everything you want on Amazon or get them at any auto parts store. I also changed all my interior lights to LED’s, ceiling lights, visor lights, and the package from Amazon also included the License plate LED”s. I’m no mechanic by any means, but I did all my mods myself.
I just bought the SR5 access cab from a ram 1500 and I cannot be happier. Love the truck and it’s simplistic interior. Definitely the best midsize truck in the market and all the trim levels are great
Vince: I did the exact same switch and love the Tacoma as well. The Ram drove smooth, but kept having warranty repair issues. The Tacoma feels way more solid.
Outstanding review. I started with my SR 5 2018 and slowly built it up to TRD Standards. Lift kit. Skid plates, K02 TIRES. I love this truck So Versailles.
Correction @ 6:38 is the button for side mirror heat not rear defrost. Sorry that’s the only correction I picked up sir .. nice job and I love mine. It’s a cute truck.
I just bought a 2021 Tacoma SR5. Same color, same engine, same interior. I wanted a Sport but didn't want the $5000 leather seats package. Mine came with BSM, sport interior, skid plate and some other goodies. I love this truck and I'm glad I chose it over a Sport
Nice review, my metallic grey sr5 should be ready any day now, your vid got me crazy with anticipation for that call, my frontier got murdered in the floods we just had so now I’m going Tacoma2021 cheehu! 🤙🏽
Enjoyed your review. I have the 2018 SR5 4x2, exact same color with cloth seats, except they’re black with orange accent coloring. I wish it was red, but at least the orange does break up the sea of black and grey. You didn’t show how the back seat bottoms fold up from the back part, and the back of the seat drops down and has a solid, hard plastic area that is perfectly flat for all kinds of extra storage. And if you just lift up the bottom part of the seat, there is extra storage underneath to. Also, you said the little button on the dash was for the ‘rear window defroster, NOPE, it’s for the heated exterior mirrors.
Yes it is powerful but I feel like the six speed could be programmed a little bit better or Toyota should just swap it out for a 8 speed automatic instead
I like the drive through the water soaked grass! That was fun! Hey you showed the storage compartment under the rear seat bottom, but there's also another hidden storage area if you fold the back of the rear seat forward!
I just got the SR5 in the Access cab, I’m still reviewing it, I wish it had a bit quicker steering response, I will be towing a 3500 camper with it so we’ll see how it does. I would add to your review the power driver seat 10 way adjustment feature. Passenger side is just 4 way manual.
@@tca7421 actually let me be more specific. They specifically only have SR5 Tacoma’s in Army Green if it’s a “Trail Edition” But the SR5 Tacoma’s definitely won’t have it in that color.
I'm behind on your videos lol. The TACO is a good truck and will last a decade! I cant wait to see what Toyota do with the redesign of it as the same with the Tundra! Great Video
Lol it’s fine no rush thanks for supporting and yes the taco is going to last many many years I can’t wait to see what Toyota is going to do next for both the taco and tundra
I'm in love with the Taco's been for last few years and your the only one who ever mentioned that the hood is heavy !! can you change it out for a fiberglass hood ? bet it'd help with the fuel mileage . I jest hit the sub button like to see you do the Ford ranger same level soon I like it's styling also. thanks
Yes, the hood is heavy and I hate the hood rod. I’ve seen video’s on how to replace the rod with struts. It’s looks a bit difficult and a little costly, but I think it would really be worth it.
the pro, off road, and sport are overpriced for the additional features. the sr5 is the best deal in the truck market today. if you want to mod it, fine,it would cost you a lot less, and you would have a better truck, built YOUR way, without the high payments. 56 thousand for a tacoma PRO? GET REAL
Dave, you look like a tall person, how does the leg room feel to you? Plenty of room, or kinda cramp? I am referring to the front seats. I saw your review of the back seats.
Really like the fact that the SR5 is not push to start.
My finance hates that Incant push start. It is kind convenient especially after using keys to start my vehicles for the last 20 years
Always liked key start
Why?
Fill me in. I'm wanting a push button installed, really like the push button and not having to remove keys from pocket

Beautiful truck, a little over three weeks ago, i bought my first Tacoma, a 2021 Sr5 with a six-foot bed in metallic grey..... love it.....
Metallic grey --Excellent choice!

Good review. The Tacoma is a good vehicle. I drove one for work for awhile. Very comfortable and reliable vehicle.
Remote start is available on sport, offroad, limited, and pro. But if you get manual transmission you can't get a push start.
Manual transmission? They still make those?

Honestly I'm not a fan of leather interior and for a 5000 it's not worth it! Good choice !
Push button start option bother you at all?
@Bub City ya I don't like push button start personally. My 2021 sr5 has a key ignition

I saved your picture with the truck to use as my screen saver on my phone. My 2016 is same color and looks exactly as yours sir. Thanks for the post.

Why they refuse to make push to start common dam
Hey could you tell me what the towing rating is one more time?
toyota should have put a manual transmission in the SR5 trim as well.
Can this be lifted up to 6 inch lift?
Yes I believe ProComp has one. I see many 6” lifted Tacomas in Honolulu.
When I get one I’m doing Toytec, OME, Bilstein or Dobinson 2-3”.
The review is good but most of the time the camera is way too far away from the vehicle
I was trying to get a better view so I can see the truck in myself
You need a Titan power cord with 90 degree plugs to fit.
I wonder what kind of truck it is
Does this specific trim level have 4wd?
Yes sir!
All trim levels have available 4wd
Does the reverse camera lines move with the turning of the steering wheel?
No
