Hi, fellow rewriter here. I’m glad I stumbled upon this video because it’s really interesting how different people change up the lore in different ways! You make some great points here, about how Deimos killing his own goons is too cliché and frankly not realistic or ideal, and that Capitão could drive the story further as a hostage. I might yoink some of these ideas into my own lore rewrite? I’ve adjusted the motivations of my Deimos, too - though it’s very different from your suggestions especially as my Deimos is a totally new person from who we see in canon, though he’s still ex-Rainbow 😅. There’s other shit my cowriter and I have changed but yeah. Loved the opportunity to compare and contrast changes we’ve each proposed ^^
Thank you for the kind words. I found that Capitao ending up as a hostage fit perfectly, and I'm glad someone acknowledged that it was at least good. I'd be curious to read what you wrote for your version of Deimos, as I think the character just narrowly missed the mark and I want to see how others would mess around with him.

Hey bossman apparently ive seen a few of your videos checked out your channel and dropped a sub was surprised to see you had less then 250-500 thousand subs fav video would be the one about the map design definitely earned my sub👍
Deimos was new to year 8, and as the focus was rewriting his time in the lore, I don't go outside the scope of year 8. The only time Solis appears in year 8 lore is during the heavy mettle comic where they're testing the ammo that Deimos' goons use. I didn't feel the need to modify any of that because it feels fine

I think it's bizarre that you made a much better story (for free) than the actual writers and editors of Ubisoft.
