This is me. I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer Dec 6 2022. I did the chemo radiation and bilateral mastectomy. I am in full remission praise Jesus.
It's important to note that he didn't learn who is dad was till he was 11 years old. Tug didn't recognize TIm officially until Tim was about 17 he had doubts that Tim was his son. They were estranged as much as they had no relationship at all. They did finally connect and built a good relationship. Tug actually gave Tim's career a boost by reaching out to record producer in Nashville. He also bought Tim a tour bus for him and his band before Tim got his record deal.
There was a real bull named Fu Man Chu . American Bucking Bull Inc. is a worldwide bucking bull and breed registry. Fu Man Chu had a buckoff rate of 82%, meaning he bucked off 82% of the bullriders that got on him, who on average, held on for 3.51 seconds before getting bucked off.Tim McGraw and (Tim's real life wife) Faith Hill tackle the Old West as husband and wife in '1883' Tim McGraw, and Faith Hill star in Paramount +'s “1883.” He also co starred in the movie The Blind Side.
Ronald Reagan used to joke that the nine most frightening words in the English language are, "We're from the government and we're here to help ". I've since come to say when it comes to the most frightening words in the English language, there are only two. And it's the first time you or a loved one puts the words "my oncologist " in a sentence.
I was widowed at 41 with 5 children. Tomorrow is my late husband's birthday. You would love Real Good Man by Tim. Definitely a Panty Dropper's Club song.
I believe Tim chose to record this song because his Dad (Who he didn't know growing up) had died, in 2004, after a courageous battle with cancer. His Dad, known as Tug, was a 20 year Major League Baseball Pitcher. A very well decorated one at that. At age 11, in 1978, Tim learned the identity of his father, but, deep into the late chapters of his baseball career, Tug denied parentship. Seven years later, after he retired, Tug found Tim and owned up to being Tim's father. They had a wonderful relationship from then, on. Tug spent his last days at Tim and Faith's home, where he died in 2004.
Wow! What a day. This morning got news of a close and dear coworker who passed away from leukemia. Spent the day just walking around. Walked to the cemetery to visit my mother’s grave then walked to my dad’s house for dinner. Just got home and saw you dropped this video a couple hours ago. Coincidence? Who knows. All part of the healing process. Thanks Britt!
Tim McGraw did in fact do this song in honor of his father who passed away at the age of 59. His father was Tug McGraw, who was a pitcher for the Philadelphia Phillies. He was the closer when they won the World Series in 1980. Tim was the product of a one night encounter with Tim’s mother while Tug was in the minor leagues. I live about 5 minutes from where Tug lived during his playing days and would often see him on the streets or in a restaurant with his family!
If you like the rugs on stage you need to watch him sing real good man in concert. He is nice and comfy in a recliner on stage. It's on TH-cam and the video has him singing 2 really good songs back to back
Tim was my moms one true love ❤ she was diagnosed with cancer in march of last year and lived 9 months. Im heart broken because we used to lay in bed and sing this song together when i was little never knowing we would be living it. Love the people around you! Its the most important thing you will do in this lifetime
So glad you're listening to this! Always thought you'd enjoy it on several levels. This songs builds really well! Tim has a lot of really deep, powerful songs, but I think this might be the best one. We can all learn from it! I believe McGraw really wants to help people through his music, whether that means "just" entertaining them, or teaching something important. A similar song is Rodney Atkins "if You're Going Thru Hell (Keep on Going)". But have you listened to some of Tim's earlier songs? "Indian Outlaw" is a JAM.
A number of years ago, I went through a cancer scare. This song got me through. I was lucky; I was cancer free. But, I'll always be grateful for this song.
My mom, a sister and an aunt died when I was 5. I'm 50 and I have stories about the places I've been and the things I've done. When I had a heart attack and a stroke a little over a year ago I wasn't scared I just wanted my kids next to me so they wouldn't regret it if my surgery went bad. My life has few regrets, but mostly it's things I said or did that didn't represent my true heart.
I must have heard this song a thousand times... I still cry a little when I hear it in his voice how much he feels this song when he sings it... like I would if I sang it.
What country music used to be about….. It was songs that people throughout the whole country is/was going through. Bringing attention and light to the different stories and life to what everyone is going through in America. THAT is what country music is to me!!
Vietnam convinced me that life was too short and uncertain to spent it living a "normal" life so I spent the next 50+ years wandering the world seeing, experiencing, and doing stuff and talking with people that most folks only see on TV. Now I'm in my late 70s and retired living in a body full of pain, worn, damaged, and rebuilt parts but I had a lot of fun wearing this body out.
Song brought me to tears. First time hearing it. Heard today someone share about having a near death experience and how beautiful it really is. To be received in love.
Live life to it's fullest. Don't take anyone or anything for granted. Being a cancer survivor(stage 4 pancreatic cancer) I live one day at a time and try to enjoy it
The song is very beautiful and inspirational. he is very handsome but his good heart and character make him so much more attractive. He is so much more then how he looks. The love he has for his wife is amazing. ❤
The words to this song are so true. In March 2018 just days before my birthday I learned I have a terminal disease, it's slow, but will cut my life short by 10 years or so. A few months later one of the best friends anyone could hope for was told she had 8-10 weeks, her sister and I managed with the help of a great doctor and meds to get four years. She never complained, sadly her health didn't allow her to live like she wanted. She told me two years before she passed that it was too late to see National Parks and other things she wanted. So, just after her passing her sister and I started planning a memorial road trip. This was so Joss could visit the places and do the trip they always wanted to do. As we prepped to sell their house and buy the RV Joss started coughing a lot. Doc said no worries just your allergies, but I told her I had never heard coughing like that with allergies. Six weeks later same answer from the Doc, and again 8 weeks or so later (early June '23). Last week of August we had gone on a short trip and only been at destination for 2 days when she woke up to blood in her urine. Called the Doc, advised to come in ASAP it was normally a 2+ day drive. I drove straight through. Over the next few days, a couple of tests indicated need for a specialist ... 6 months after the first time the Doc said allergies, the new Doc said it was cancers. The same exact ones that took Jaki from us. So, ladies make sure you talk to your Gynecologist and know the warning signs of Ovarian cancer. If it's not caught early is spreads and causes a secondary primary called peritoneal carcinomas (aggressive and deadly). Stage IV, incurable, one real chance to extend life with a brutal surgery that is nicknamed the mother of all surgeries. So everyone I can not urge you all strongly enough .... LIVE don't just exist, do the things you want and are passionate about, do not worry about chasing busy things and money over living and loving ... embrace life with passion and appreciate the incredible gift that it is. As always Britt a great reaction.
Live like there is no tomorrow, act like you will deal with the consequences forever. Thanks for this reaction, Tim is right on up there with Toby Keith.
I am sorry for the news about your friend with breast cancer. I hope you don't mind that I felt compelled to pray for you and your friend. May God bless you both.
Look up “Play it Again” by Luke Bryan. You won’t regret it! It was my brother & his wife’s song. He’s gone now and missed very much but his wife and kids and the rest of us. This song was kind of like the example of what started a family. There are moments that you HAVE TO MEMORIZE. They’re what make us alive. 💕
Great reaction! Love Tim! As far as the married guy and the PDC? I mentioned once around my 12 year old daughter some man was attractive - and she was "MOM! You're married!" I said "Yes - married but not dead. I can look at the menu and comment how good things look - doesn't mean I am ordering anything. I can look." Time is fine! Faith is a lucky lady.
What we all need to remember is that we are all dying from the day we're born. The lesson I learned when my wife passed was that every second is precious and it's truly a sin to take even one of those seconds for granted.
I think Tim was really affected by his dad’s death. It seemed to really change him, like he realized it would happen to him some day. BTW, Tug was a great pitcher for the NY Mets
He's a very good actor too. You should watch the show 1883. It's a spin-off of the show Yellowstone and Tim McGraw and Faith Hill are the main characters. It's very good.
I consider this, the Gambler, and Til you Can't as the biggest life lessons songs. There's some others on my list, but forgot them, but thy're my top ones.
This is one of my favorite songs of Tim's. It's such a beautiful song. My life was definitely put into perspective in November. I found a limp about 8 months ago. I finally did something about it. I was scared. It was cancer, but luckily an operable tumor. I got a lumpectomy and have to get mammograms every 6 months. This was a really great reaction, Britt and I'm sorry to hear about your friend. God bless her at this time of need 😥🙏🏼 Edit: Tim is such a hottie 💋🔥
I used to be guilty of saying i didn’t like country music, but artists like Tim McGraw changed that. He’s so honest, relatable, and inspiring, his music is written for every man and woman, and he’s such a phenomenal storyteller. Another beautiful song of his that’s a duet with his wife Faith Hill (you may have heard of her too lol) is called “Like We Never loved At All”, which takes a look at a struggling relationship/marriage, and it’s so heartbreaking but beautiful. The video is great too if you can find it, but the last time I looked, the quality was pretty low lol. Funny you mentioned how you feel about the rugs on the stage, because I always felt the exact same way, it makes the setting feel all the more intimate. Like the band is just sitting in your living room playing to you. I first felt that with the MTV Unplugged setting, because it was known for having that atmosphere and rugs all over the place.
Back in April, I went into the hospital thinking I'd contracted pneumonia. Turns out I was in total heart failure and needed a transplant. Here is it September and I am still recovering, but I've also reconnected with my kids, become the best friend my baby brothe always wanted, and told my ex-wife -- who is herself struggling with cancer right now -- that I still love her despite everything and while I know we don't work as a marrier couple, if she needs a friend I'm there. I've been taking advantage of living on the beach (I'm in Florida, on the Atlantic coast), and going to the zoo a lot, and enjoying the roller coasters at Disney I've never ridden. I came too close to dying to not give living a try.
This song is pretty much the story of my life. At 43 after a lifetime of being an athlete and a competitive martial artist I was diagnosed with aggressive stage 4 Non small cell squamous cancer. 7 years of absolute hell with every kind of crazy up and down you can imagine fighting the cancer I finally beat it. I’m 3 years clear now, but I’m still a long way from truly being back to feeling like me. I had to go through 5 different chemos, 2 experimental drugs, radiation and 2 immunotherapies. The immunotherapy that finally beat my cancer also attacked my GI tract and had me spend over 1/3 of a year in the hospital fighting it and had to go on high dosages of steroids for a year and caused me to have a few blood clots including 1 very scary one in my brain. Friends and family tell me regularly that they can’t hear this song without thinking of everything I went through. The thing that I always think is that I wish so many people wouldn’t wait until they or someone close to them had this kind of a situation come up before they really think about how they live and how they act toward other people.
Cancer is not as much as a death sentence these days! I have been cancer free 5 years after chemo, and radiation. I was able to work and go to the gym 5x a week during treatment. My sister didn't fare as well and was hospitalized for 6 months and she is in full remission now.
I was fortunate enough to see Tim and Faith in concert and I had 5th row seats on Tim’s side. The view was amazing if you know what I mean 😉. Yes, Faith is a lucky woman. He’s only getting finer with age and I was a fan after Indian Outlaw 😂. 🥰🥵 is it getting hot in here? Seriously, I love this song.
Always cry to this song ,when it was on the radio all time my cousin 's wife was fighting breast cancer ,Their 3 kids were staying at our house for spring break when she passed, they ask us to bring them to my aunts house but not to telll them ,Worst car ride I ever, this song came on and I almost lost it, RIP Joyce
One other note on this song, the writers brought it to Tim as he was helping his father with his fight with brain cancer. Many think Tim wrote it. I to think Tim's voice at just the right edge for the song and with his dad's situation it hit home for Tim. The studio version is special, live is good, but they worked really hard to get the record version as close to perfect at possible.
I love seeing new people appreciate the story telling in county music. You should check out Randy Rodgers and Wade Bowen. Songs like Rodeo Clown, Hold my Beer, and El Dorado
2 simple questions: If you knew that you were going to die in 72 hours, or 72 days, or 72 years, how will live each day, what will you do? Second, what's stopping you from living, really LIVING, and is the answer to that actually just an excuse that easier than living? Live each moment. Savour each breath. One day you will look back at all the life you didn't end up using.
Have you checked out the two of them together? Faith is a star in her own right & I particularly love 'I need you' & It's your love'. 'How to talk to a girl' is cool too.
My dad was the funniest guy ever. This song was on the radio and dad says who's Diane? We're like wtf??? He sad Tim is singing live like you were diiiiiiaaaaannnneeee!! 😂😂 God I miss my daddy
This is me. I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer Dec 6 2022. I did the chemo radiation and bilateral mastectomy. I am in full remission praise Jesus.
Hope you are doing good and continue to do good for a long time. #FUCKCANCER
I hope all goes well
🎉❤
Amen, Baby!
This is a true song for Tim as well. His father, Hall of Fame pitcher Tug McGraw passed away from cancer.
I feel like this will be the song Tim McGraw will be remembered for.
OMG!!! Wow!! I did not know that Tug McGraw was Tim’s father! 😮
RIP Tug 🕊️🕊️😇
He made it for his daddy
Tim was estranged from Tug McGraw when he was younger, but reconnected when they got older.😢
It's important to note that he didn't learn who is dad was till he was 11 years old. Tug didn't recognize TIm officially until Tim was about 17 he had doubts that Tim was his son. Tug actually gave Tim's career a boost by reaching out to record producer in Nashville. He also bought Tim a tour bus for him and his band before Tim got his record deal.
We all should live like this because we’re not promised tomorrow. Another really good song of his is Where the green grass grows.

They were both soo good in "1883".
1883 was filmed here in Granbury, TX where I live. Also Taylor Sheridan and Koe Wetzel have homes here.

I’m sure you would LOVE Tim’s Real Good Man! Very upbeat and cheeky!
I was widowed at 41 with 5 children. Tomorrow is my late husband's birthday. You would love Real Good Man by Tim. Definitely a Panty Dropper's Club song.
Thanks for holding it together. Hope you have a great party filled with laughs and memories. And live your fullest life!
Yes!
If we all lived like we were dying, the world would be a better place. Peace, Love!!
But all of us ARE terminal if you think about it
This is actually true for him. This song was written for his father tug McGraw, who used to pitch for the New York Mets. !
1980 world series champion Phillies you meant
@@montedienno4413 Yes but he played his first nine seasons with the Mets so saying he played for the Mets is ok no ??
@@montedienno4413 1969 champion Mets first.
Nothing wrong with browsing the menu as long as you don't order.

One of his best songs is Please Remember Me.
Please review his song "Please Remember Me" which has Patty Loveless on harmony vocals.
I must have heard this song a thousand times... I still cry a little when I hear it in his voice how much he feels this song when he sings it... like I would if I sang it.
This is by far my favorite song of his. As someone who has several chronic issues, it reminds me to keep fighting.

Now I'm in my late 70s and retired living in a body full of pain, worn, damaged, and rebuilt parts but I had a lot of fun wearing this body out.
I love that song by Tim McGraw
Song brought me to tears. First time hearing it. Heard today someone share about having a near death experience and how beautiful it really is. To be received in love.
Live life to it's fullest. Don't take anyone or anything for granted. Being a cancer survivor(stage 4 pancreatic cancer) I live one day at a time and try to enjoy it
favorite Tim song is Refried Dreams.
This official video is AMAZING --You must watch it 😊❤This is a phenomenal song. True facts. 😊❤
Tim and Faith are awesome song writers and singers ... artists
The song is very beautiful and inspirational. he is very handsome but his good heart and character make him so much more attractive. He is so much more then how he looks. The love he has for his wife is amazing. ❤
There is no such thing as tomorrow. Not for any one of us. There’s only today.
As Im sitting here in tears thinking about my dad and then i think about my fight last year with prostate cancer,, ❤😢
Standing Room Only is another good one from Tim Mcgraw
Listen to Tim McGraw sing "Indian Outlaw"... before he was married and Country Music's Bad Boy.
Saw someone else suggest Real Good Man and I have to say, I believe you’d have a good time with that one
You’ll love Real Good Man.
I am sorry for the news about your friend with breast cancer. I hope you don't mind that I felt compelled to pray for you and your friend. May God bless you both.
He's one of the few country singers I actually like.
Tim is in my top 5 country artists of all time
Saw him in 2005. He was amazing and performed a heartfelt tribute to his father. I cried with crowd!
Look up “Play it Again” by Luke Bryan. You won’t regret it!
It was my brother & his wife’s song. He’s gone now and missed very much but his wife and kids and the rest of us. This song was kind of like the example of what started a family.

Tim McGraw will forever be my favorite country artist ever.
My favorite song from Tim’s new album is Standing Room Only , it’s another song with a great message that makes you think about life.
So happy you did this one too!! 🥺♥️🥰
What we all need to remember is that we are all dying from the day we're born. The lesson I learned when my wife passed was that every second is precious and it's truly a sin to take even one of those seconds for granted.
Tim McGraw has done some acting also...Blind Side...TV series 1883 with Faith Hill
1883 is an awesome show!!
Another amazing song in this similar vein is My List by Toby Keith. It’s a beautiful reminder to live each day as it could be our last. ❤
I loved the line in the song that said “ I Ioved deeper and I spoke sweeter” its so romantic 💘
Thanks for an honest and heartfelt reaction. Great advice and this song and message deserves that.
I consider this, the Gambler, and Til you Can't as the biggest life lessons songs. There's some others on my list, but forgot them, but thy're my top ones.
This song was written for his father, who was a major league baseball pitcher tug McGraw
Tim's father finally acknowledged him and they were getting to know each other when the doctor report caught them both up
Another one of Tim's awesome songs.
This is the 1st song I liked that was country about 20 years ago.
This is one of my favorite songs of Tim's. It's such a beautiful song.
My life was definitely put into perspective in November. I found a limp about 8 months ago. I finally did something about it. I was scared. It was cancer, but luckily an operable tumor. Actually each day is a gift and we all do need to do exactly what it says in this song
Great reaction, love this song. Hugh Tim McGraw fan.😊😊😊
Please check out the duet with Tim and Faith singing "Speak to a Girl".
This song hits
Great song! He’s such a great performer
Wonderful song, this song reminds me of my oldest son who passed away 10 months ago.
I used to be guilty of saying i didn’t like country music, but artists like Tim McGraw changed that. Another beautiful song of his that’s a duet with his wife Faith Hill (you may have heard of her too lol) is called “Like We Never loved At All”, which takes a look at a struggling relationship/marriage, and it’s so heartbreaking but beautiful. This song was one of my mantras whilst going through my Cancer journey
"Real good man" live. It doesn't fit with the theme of the last 2 songs but one of my favorites
Cancer is not as much as a death sentence these days! I have been cancer free 5 years after chemo, and radiation. I was able to work and go to the gym 5x a week during treatment. My sister didn't fare as well and was hospitalized for 6 months and she is in full remission now.
I'm so sorry about your friend 🙏 prayers
I was fortunate enough to see Tim and Faith in concert and I had 5th row seats on Tim’s side. The view was amazing if you know what I mean 😉. Yes, Faith is a lucky woman. He’s only getting finer with age and I was a fan after Indian Outlaw 😂. 🥰🥵 is it getting hot in here? Seriously, I love this song.
Speaking of Faith Hill, her song: 'The Way You Love Me.', has this great line: I love the way you love the way you love me.
Have you heard "Me & Little Andy" by Dolly Parton. It's one of the most beautiful songs ever written, in my opinion.
Check out "Humble and Kind" awesome song.
Red Rag Top is another great Tim McGraw song
You have such a relaxing soothing voice 😍
Okay Brit.. you want to see why Tim deserves beyond a shadow of a doubt to be in the PDC? Go listen to Real Good Man. You might even blush.
Britt Listen to don’t take the girl it’s another tear jerker ….
Tim Mcgraw and nelly have a song called over and over
Tim’s good people! ❤
I love to hear Faith and Tim duets.
Happens to alot people.most are bailed on.
His new song “ Standing Room Only “ is along the same lines as this.
Have you checked out the two of them together? Faith is a star in her own right & I particularly love 'I need you'
& It's your love'. 'How to talk to a girl' is cool too.
Best Yet !!!!!
My dad was the funniest guy ever. This song was on the radio and dad says who's Diane? We're like wtf??? He sad Tim is singing live like you were diiiiiiaaaaannnneeee!! 😂😂 God I miss my daddy
