      @@charliehmi76 I would love a Note FE 2, which would have the body of Note 9, but with a few changes:
      1) As small bezels as possible without holes;
      2) As big as possible battery, the newest processor from Qualcomm;
      3) 2-4 more gb of ram + up to a 2 trb sd-card option;
      4) Upgraded to the newest standards cameras + one more camera for the wide angle mode(basically like on S10, they got that right there);
      5) An in-screen fingerprint scanner, but not removing the physical one;
      6) Lastly, upgrade the s pen a bit and all other things + add a cool distinct feature that will make the phone stand out;

    For most people, the Note 9 will be a fabulous phone. Of course if you get the newer phones, you'll have a longer time with software updates. You just have to ask yourself if it matters. I can tell you now that I upgraded from the Note 9 to now the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Trust me when I tell you that you won't be disappointed with the Note 9. STILL have this and still love it. Grabbed this off Amazon in 2019 when the price dropped, wanted a cool & different backup to my XS Max at the time. My first Android phone. Actually I have always been an iPhone user, I have the latest iPhone 13 Pro Max. But this phone is still a great backup and just fun to use, play around with. A phone with a iris scanner AND touch to unlock, which I deeply miss.
    Screen still is beautiful for me. Camera is ok, it's older technology but still decent. Pro camera is nice, The SUPER slow mo was always fun. Then yep...a headphone jack AND expandable storage. Little things that the iPhone ditched or never even had. Totally customizable phone - fonts...moving animated BG WITH the lock and home screen active (no useless 'Live Photo' nonsense), using an app for that. I did have to replace the battery last Aug. - started 'ballooning' with a bulge, but it's fine now. Shame it's "obsolete" but what can ya do.

    I had my Note 9 till last month when my brother accidently drove off with it on the bumper of his truck. It ended up getting run over and that was the end of that. A battery charge would last me two days even 4 years in. I dropped that phone so many times on the jagged rocks in my driveway (with a case) and while it had scratches and scuffs the screen never broke. I remember trying to use the fingerprint sensor when I got it, but it was just so inconvenient that I just opted for the iris scanner. Having said all of that the S22 Ultra is definitely a big upgrade but I do not want to see if it will survive drops like the Note 9 did so I'm being extra careful.

    Downgraded from 10 to 9 for one reason only, the placement of the fingerprint sensor! Phone fires up ever time, so much easier, the 10 was a mare when it came to recognizing finger or "face does not match"...no such issues with the 9.

I am teacher and in the school I work in most classes we have Jack for sound and its so easy with Note 9... I think I will use it 1 more year...wait for fold 5 and hope fold 5 will have S pen inside, like Note...cheers

    Still using mine after quite some time and I could say that it still holds up well.
    Just need to change the battery because its really degraded since I do game a lot on it....
    The only thing is the camera... Its a good camera for its time but as time goes by,
    the camera is lacking in some departments especially in the Pro mode...
    I really want the exposure time to go to 30 secs and ISO up to 3200-6400 because of astrophotography reasons xD
    But overall, the phone is still really good especially since it has no notches, still has the headphone jack, AND still has the MicroSD card slot
    If not mistaken there is a custom rom (Noble Rom) that ports over ONE UI 3.1/ 4 only for the Exynos models
    Hope this helps with a few people who still considers getting the Legendary Galaxy Note 9 :3

    I think Samsung outdid themselves with the Note 9. There really is nothing more a phone needs to do. If you use all the features of the 9 you have a device that can handle literally everything. I'm an enterprise/business user so I'm on my note all day and in my personal life I use the pen a lot for pic editing, graphic design and video creation. I changed the Bixby button to launch my web browser which is so convenient. I think Samsung tried to launch 5 new handsets back to back that only slightly improved on what the 9 does then they discontinued the note series entirely because there's nowhere else to go. Get a rooted, jail broken note 9 and keep using it. A phone is only outdated if you are shackled to the manufacturer or service provider.

      Do you think it's a good idea to get note 9 in 2022?

    • @theladieclair
      @theladieclair 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@muniaisworthit it depends on what you use your phone for. If you're mainly interested in social media, taking pictures, or just media consumption then a 9 probably isn't the best option. If you're interested in productivity and reliability a 9 is the way to go. I have a note 10 now and a few things I miss already are... with the 9 you can configure the power and Bixby buttons to launch a number of things, you get a headphone jack which is useful for hundreds of reasons but I used mine for song rehearsal, and music and video production and I miss having a dedicated fingerprint reader that works 100% of the time and can be used to pull down and roll up the notification window. I'm sincerely thinking of restoring my 9 and using that instead.
