You can turn the fan all the way up in quick settings every time. Likely doesn't need that much fan

it looks like the dead zone is set too aggressively for that specific device. I've also had problems on the steam deck so it's not exclusive to the legion go and they're fixable in the config settings, you just need to poke around a bit. Or you really did receive a defective unit and need to send it away for RMA.

That makes sense. I might have to reach out to the customer service about this issue.

At least some games allow you to change the dead zone in-game

      @@tyleraronne473 why does it happen?
Is it a common thing in hand held devices.
I’ve never faced this issue with controllers

@yoshimitsu8643 even controllers have deadzones. It isn't exclusive to handhelds. This is by design of the joysticks.
Whenever you release the joystick, it centers back. But over time, due to wear and tear, it will stop centering perfectly. Even hall effect sticks will eventually fail to center correctly, but they are still more durable. The deadzones are meant to overcome that issue of failing to center correctly. As long as the sticks are inside the deadzone, it is treated as being in a neutral, centered position. Only once the stick has moved outside the deadzone will it be treated as being moved in a direction.
However, different manufacturers set the deadzones differently. Some set their deadzones way to aggressively and make it too large. A good device allows you to manually set your deadzones. Some examples of devices allowing you to customize your deadzones are the Dual Sense Elite controller and the ROG Ally.

Just return this and get a Ally. I have Ally since launch. My Steamdeck got replaced right the way. That VRR is a must have. I been playing new Xbox games, it runs sooo well. No man’s sky runs better than my 2080rtx.

I’m actually thinking about the same and give ally a try.
