I remember Astralis coming in cold to the major, after Liquid having their insane summer run, and the second they picked Vertigo I was like "oooh nooo, they've been practicing" and boy had they. Good times.
When it happened I never would have thought it would become a "I was in the arena when it happened" moment but here we are. I was in the arena when it happened.. :P
That video made me a fan of astralis and csgo esports in general. Sadly, the team were already in their tail end of them being at the top, but those were awesome days.

One thing about the IEM Katowice win against ENCE: You can see Dupreeh being given the honor of lifting the trophy alone by the rest of the team 32:25 - because prior to this event, he lost his father to a long battle with cancer. That - to me - is why no one ever stood a chance at that tournament. Astralis won that trophy for Dupreeh's dad
18:36 Dupreeh's Deagle clutch is one of the coldest things I have ever seen. His dad just died, and one of his last wishes was for Dupreeh to win the Major. You can see it in his eyes.
i met astralis back when karrigan was changing teams and right before gla1ve joined. they put up a stand where fans could 1v1 Dev1ce, and if we beat him, we would get a free hoodie and a mouse. i was 11 years old at the time, and i absolutely got shit on, however i still killed him once. but being able to 1v1 my idol and win a round, gave me a start to my semi-professional career. And I am so glad, that Astralis gave me that boost of confidence.
Great video man. As a brazilian I hated so much Astralis that time, but as a CS lover it was so nice to see the evolution of the game. They literally changed how the game was played. Astralis didnt just change the meta, they were able to put so many other orgs in crisis. So many orgs changing players in between trying to beat them. Liquid was the only one who could put up a "fight", so close but so far.
Absolutely quality content. There was something special about the Astralis roster that I feel cannot be captured again with any other team or iteration. Xyp9x was my favorite player to watch so it was great to rewatch some of hi and the rest of the roster's best moments again. Really well made video, I have no doubts that if you keep at it with this level of quality, eventually you'll hit the algorithm just right and make it big, subbed!

I love how most teams with an era had a rival that consistently challenged them, like Faze was to SK Gaming and NIP was to fnatic. Meanwhile, the strongest opponent Astralis had was Liquid, where their best hopes was to not get absolutely curbstomped by Astralis.
