One of the best donk replays I’ve seen. Straight to the point with helpful tips on how to improve without putting out a 45 minute demo review for a match that took 28 minutes.
2:34 I would also like to point out this little movement by Donk is psychological too, the T see's his boy get obliterated and the the CT pushing back through the doors, instantly the T moves to take the space but Donk was already planning to peek again, bro is playing like Hikaru plays chess
I started using Donk’s crab walk in the opposite direction you peek when I watched how he played. I’ve also experienced better success with that technique.
i mean his crosshair placement shouldnt be much different in those games tbh. more how the fights turn out in the end. his crosshair placement is always super clean and patient so i dont think u will see him aiming on the ground all of sudden :D
Since it wasn't mentioned, Crouch walking DOES NOT affect recoil in the sense you'd think, it only changes your crosshair placement relative to your target (i.e. the ops head). Moving left and right has no bearing on recoil or shot pattern relative to the amount moved. If you crouch walk to the left while firing, your aim only has to compensate for your relative movement. Crouch walking doesn't inherently make your accuracy poor, it just throws one-more, small variable into the mix
thats right. if i remember correctly you only have to slow down to 35% of your weapons top speed in order to be accurate. this is why you dont have to actually come to a full stop when counter strafing
If it was me playing: 1:10 I get naded by three HEs simultaneously 1:33 I get flanked from water while another enemy shoots at me standing in the molly at temple 1:53 I get pop flashed and pushed by 3 CTs 2:32 literally don't know how he survived this tbh frfr ngl 2:55 getting naded like always when I have 20hp 3:34 getting flashed and blocked to death by my teammate 4:20 wallbanged from *A* through 20 walls obviously 6:28 me peeking while I see the enemy hoping around giving me a headshot midair
Tbf I understand what he means, technically the gun accuracy is the same but youre probably gonna have a harder time spraying down someone on long crouch walking than just standing/crouching
20 years in the past this is how I always played , I knew exactly sound queues and starting positions. In cs 1.6. We were clan base top 10 back then. This makes me want to play again.
@@Nub_let777 4fs, you probably don’t know it was a short period and members left to teams that already got some sort of funding and I quit due to not having internet anymore. This is by far my favorite video you've ever made. I practiced the donk crouch strafe back thing in dm right away as well and got 3-4 kills straight away. Will definitely be utilizing this new skill so thanks!
I heard about a theory about donk's peeking movement was because he used to play EU faceit with 90+pings in his hometown so he has to constantly play in peeking style
I started cs2 coming from val a few days ago and analysis like these makes me appreciate the game so much more. The util usage, plays and decisions based on all sorts of sound cues is so cool to watch!
I'm surprised donk is one of the first to utilise that mid-fight movement so effectively. Feels like every time I jump into a dm with pros nearly all of them crouch spray during fights but never really do it in their matches the same way donk does. I always talked about how effective crouch spraying while moving is so it's kind of satisfying seeing that I wasn't talking complete nonsense XD
BY FAR the best video i have ever seen on a FPS game. Mid video i had to go into a deathmatch to try the swing and then crouch spray to the other side. Lord have mercy that shit worked wonders. Ive just started playing cs after a couple of years with valo only, and getting used to the pre-aim stuff is still in development, but trusting where to aim based on what you hear is something ive not trusted myself doing. I have tried to play with a tiny xhair like that and its only good for long fights... if someone jumps in front of me our of a corner, i cant aim anything.
