1:54 i wish this was true to this day, but thats on high end, my mid range with 10 cores and a 6600xt, barely reaches 90fps most of the time, on the lowest settings. saying "it can still run just fine" is hilarious and before saying "Oh 90 isnt that bad, its counter strike, where everyone had almost 300+fps, so imagine how it feels getting that cut in half, not even being able to use the full scale of the 240hz on your monitor

Not even close to tell the whole history of CS, i'm brazillian, i started in 2005, when SK was dominating the world, then came Fnatic, CS got dominated by Sweden, Sweden was the first country of CS with get_right, Delpan, Robban, Spawn, Zet, f0rest, xizt, face, dsn, gux, cArn, Heaton, then we had Poland with the Golden Five, Neo, Taz, Kuben, Loord and LuQ, then we had Ukraine super team with zeus, Markeloff, edward, ceh9 and starix, pretty much thats the history of cs 1.6 and then beginning of CS GO, Sweden domination again with NIP, then French domination with LDLC, then Faze domination ( european mixed team ), then brazillian domination with LG, SK and then Astralis ( danish team ) domination.

Im trying to get into CS2 and I havent finished my ranked games and i got kicked for not knowing where some CT was in call outs. They were silvers BTW; and I thought competitive Overwatch 2 players were toxic waste sludge barrels.

I think they should've just made CS2 its own WIP/EA title instead of a replacer for CSGO. Like I get that the playerbase will be split up but if Source and 1.6 were any indication, it's that the majority of the players will always move to the newest game with the most support and refinement. Leaving CS:GO intact and unmolested would let players even buy CS2...which would increase revenues and help the older CSGO community gradually transfer to CS2 by their own choice instead of suddenly being part of a different game that they didn't ask for. And, new players would get to play CS2 without necessarily competing against as many CSGO players who have years more experience. Makes me wonder if they couldn't decouple the database from CSGO or weren't willing to buy new databases to establish CS2's stats.

calling source 2 a new engine is a joke right? that thing is nearly 10 years old by now... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Source_2 ... they basically ported the game to a new engine. but the engine itself is old, thats approximately as old as unreal engine 4, so that is a non argument. And to the argument with the subtick to not give people with better pcs an advantage... how was that with the shooting again? it takes the previous or the next frame, cant remember which one after you shot... meaning higher framerate equals more acurate. lower framerate, you cant shoot at any place in between the frames, gg. And subtick is not new, other games used something similar under different names, its just that valve calls it subtick. its still a bullshit 64 tick server behind that. and honestly, the extra effort for 128 tick compared to 64 is not as big as people make it seem. its not like double the tick = double the work has to be done from your pc. bs. if that would be true models would teleport every 15.6 ms to the new position, all actions by the player would be done every 15.6 sec etc. ITS CALLED INTERPOLATION between ticks. your pc has approximately the same work with 128 tick as with 64 tick, you have more network taffic since you send and receive more packages... but what kinda shit argument is that? you have that now as well since the packages are bigger. To the cheating problem. AI anti cheats are not future proof, thats bs. cause what happens when you have ai cheats? if they become indistinguishable from humans, then ai anti cheat wont manage to do shit. its not like every player plays the same and one player plays the same every game. so ai anti cheat will lose the war with ai cheats. why are intrusive acs so good? cause they are working. they are not 100% save, but they keep the majority of cheaters out, cause to trick those acs, you not only have to download cheats, you might have to configure your setup etc for hardware cheats for example. not a lot of people know how to do it etc. you filter out a big majority of the cheaters by simply raising the bar for being able to cheat successfully. Why do people bring up valorant all the time instead of faceit? faceit ac is also kernel level? basically all acs are kernel level? levvvel.com/games-with-kernel-level-anti-cheat-software/ So an intrusive anti cheat would still work against an ai anti cheat, but an ai anti cheat will probably lose the fight xD funny, right?^^ So a intrusive anti cheat has this weakness, but handles the absolute majority of cheaters, even with ai cheats, while an ai anti cheat would be able to handle normale cheats but not ai cheats xD well, downloading an ai cheat is way easier than setting up a second pc, connecting it to the first with DMA etc. So no, not future proof at all... its even less future proof than kernel level ACs xD Its just less effort on their side... the community did the overwatch cases with the verdicts already, just let the ai go through all of them and learn. Its just the easier solution for them with less effort. But its a really short term solution and not at all future proof. Furthermore training an ai with a system like overwatch is a flawed approach from the beginning. Why? if you listened to all those cheaters on the interview with sparkels etc. you know that many of them dont get banned through overwatch and get a pass... including bots being ran against overwatch to let convicted cheaters pass. A flawed dataset to train an ai? cant work. Why? The ai would try to figure out why that guy aimbotting wasnt banned, but that one was. How would you? they are bot h cheating, but one is seen as innocent while one is seen as a cheater. Faulty datasets in training an ai are a nogo, especially since an anti cheat has to take the approach to rather ban less people than ban too many. none of us wants to be banned just cause we gave a lucky headshot through the smoke, do we? or hit a jump shot etc. Innocent until proven guilty. everything else would be just pure arbitrage. Everyone who ever trained an ai knows that. And the falls positives you mentioned where just one of the effects of trying to make up for this faulty dataset. Where does that leave us? a subtick system that feels like 64 tick (cause it is), an ac that doesnt work correctly, valve first telling people that csgo will continue to exist and basically isnt (they basically lied cause as you said whoever says it still exists is making an argument in bad faith), tons of bugs etc. nothing improved except for the texxture quality and a bit physics (smoke). rest is worse than csgo. Even shooting, movement etc feels worse than in csgo. We asked for 3 bloody things for cs2 in priority: 1.ANTI CHEAT 2. 128 Tick 3. (maybe) no more 1 way smokes nobody actually directly asked for the third, but its a great addition. they delivered if any on the third. not on the first two

new and improved source? lol no no no... 1.5 WAS the best version. 1.6 is standard. source is bad. That EYE vs SK match is the greatest of all time. Team EYE set the strats that are still used today. And ElementMoum created the way we all play with flashes and organised stratergy. CSGO has been cheater era, KQLY, FLusha, JKS....

I think this is a CSGO thing again, back when the game came out people did not want to switch simply because it wasn't 1.6/S again, but when the game started getting updates and skins and the playerbase actually got used to it, the rest was history; though it's very tragic that GO is dead as of now and the people who could only play it on their pcs are out of the question (maybe for the time being)
