@@nomic1968 yes a little but it was not like they were all over the place talking ok top of each other im sure he meant nothing bad he is just that type of person who loves to speak on things
Aleksi seems to be happy and thriving under Blade, it really can't be understated how important he is to bring out the best in players and that's a big part of Navi's consistent success.
Feels like a weird alternative universe where you're watching Pep Guardiola, Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger and Jose Mourinho having a really frank and honest conversation about being a Premier League manager. Genuinely felt like some really smart and successful brains, being honest in a way that's hard to find.
Great comment. Would be crazy to see something like this in football but I'm happy CS is so close to its community that we get to see this type of content regularly.
Esl with the goated contents. Also amazing choice of igls in terms of games: During the games, Apex who shows the most emotions, Aleksib who is mostly stoic and karrigan who looks like the mixture of both, yet all of them great leaders born through so many set backs.
it is nice to see people speak a little bit more freely and openly, rather than just see them fragging and talking 3min interview answers before and after maps lets you get to know them more. great video!
i think it absolutely helps that compared to almost every other esport the game doesn't freaking shake the table so much (patches and updates). people, regions, teams can actually develop.
The hilarious skits are great but please add more of these round tables as well. The audience gains so much more appreciation for the game from hearing these top tier players speak openly for an hour.
Treasure of an Interview !!! Feels so good and refreshing to hear these interviews !!!! Shows the importance and mindset of IGL's and the difficulties they face and love to see them overcome it and enjoy the interview !! Would definitely love more of these !!!
Would just like to say this video is absolutely one off the greatest videos I’ve watched in a long time. Getting insight from some the most experienced cs players is incredible. Huge thank you to whoever organised this and hopefully content like this keeps up.
Aleksi has always been such a great glue guy. Not too agreeable, maybe naive yes when he was younger but he is such a master at turning the anxieties and negative feelings into something positive. Like psychological alchemy of sorts. When he was streaming with his old friends recently one of them started to bicker about the opponent just walking through the smoke and no one watching. Told the person to wake the f up. Then it got a little tense for a moment and then Aleksi called their next play and personally addressed the person who made the mistake that "hey this time please make sure that no one walks through" and they laughed and won the next round easily. This cannot be understated how important these people are in any organization.
That’s a lot of Brain power in one room, I’m a huge fan of Karrigan, and Faze by extension, so I’m mostly here for him. Not to take anything away from Apex and Alexisb, they’re both masterminds as well!
@@althebrokeone7383 gla1ve has had a higher peak in terms of pure domination from 2018-2020 but outside the scope of the Astralis core he had when they were winning everything, he never lifted trophies with any other iteration of Astralis or a different team. This was great.. this is what should be happening during down time at tournaments imo. The fan cares more about the players n such than the cast n co. Imo you would get alot more views having like a round table type convo with pro's. Atleast an hr long
I really, really love Aleksi and and recognize his abilities, but I think karrigan is the true big brain and legend here. Karrigans contribution to the cs and IGLing in general is starting to take immeasurable widths. Karrigan is really underrated IGL of CS:GO/2 and even 1.6 and he still have hadn't his peak I guess. He has so much potential to be the greatest igl ever in the game (if he isn't it already). I really just hope he keeps playing for many years to come and competes against aleksi often! Great rivalries, great respect and even friendships are shown on the video right here. And this is coming from a Finn who really simps aleksi, but have also been around CS since the first beta versions of 1999.
30 minutes in and I'm sitting here with a big smile on my face for the whole time. This is such an interesting conversation and I hope there is more of it in the future
I could listen to one of these vids every week, this is so insightful. Ty for doing this, thanks to apEX, Aleksib and karrigan for being a part of this. Looking forward to see more of this, maybe even with other roles.
Really nice discussion, with valuable insight into the methods and mindset of these 3 great IGLs. Need more of these types of videos. Well done to whoever came up with this format!
I didnt want this to end :( Such great inside of the igl role, but also the competetive scene in general, by 3 of the current greatest minds in CS. 1 hour and 8 minutes well spent. Thank you ESL, Apex, Aleksib, Karrigan and Spunj :)
Such a good convo. So much to learn for anyone in the scene or who wants to get in: how to be a better coach, a better teammate to your IGL (don't forget the strat!, say "my bad" or if you whiffed), casters/commentary/analysts, this was packed with good info. Thank you ESL and Spunj for setting this up. Great work all around.
Awesome content. I understand why it's not feasible, but getting to listen to comms live during matches would really elevate CS as a spectator experience and the general appreciation viewers have of IGLs. It's clear these guys are doing a lot more for their teams than was is seen on the scoreboard.
Say what you will about them, but ESL has been doing serious work in providing incredibly high quality content in CS in recent years. You guys are very near to filling that Beyond The Summit-sized hole in my heart.
This is literally a masters course in leadership and IGL'ing. Karrigan's sentiment about having passion for the game and trusting his teammates, apEX's emphasis on empowering his teammates and putting them first, and how Aleksib was able to reflect on his past, learn from his experiences, and use the knowledge to be a better leader. Awesome
I don't know if you guys did some sort of content like this before, but if it's the first time you're doing it I must say it's an incredible idea! I really enjoyed watching the guys talk about their experiences in and out of the server... Good job!
Honestly the last part of the video is interesting when he's talking about pushing buttons when you're losing. What is it like to be losing and having problems in the middle of the tournament? What priorities do you take, how do you battle confidence in the middle of a tournament and stuff like that. Great video!
My favorite part of this is getting a good feel for how socially and emotionally intelligent these guys are supplementary to their technical skills. Being a leader is so strenuous technically that it’s easy to forget how important it is to be a good logical thinker with regards to people and relationships as a leader as well. Also, Chad did a great job running the table and was the perfect host for this, well done SpunJ!
So much cs brain power in one room. loved this talk, so interesting and so much good information about how this great IGls look at different moments of the game. Really shows you how deep Cs can be and what makes it such a great game
the game truly is a confidence game and you can feel that as a player of any level with a bit of self awareness. that's why building consistency is key to be a great player, something I've been lacking for a while. I have days where I feel so confident and demolish everything, and other days where I lack the confidence and get tossed around. consistency is what separates a good player from a great player. of course, that consistency comes with consistent work and sweat
Such a brilliant idea to hear from the brains behind everything. Would be great to hear similarly from the other roles as well and see how they're perspective is like
Karrigan is surprisingly sharp. I'm really impressed by the depth of his knowledge even compared with the other well-established IGL's around the table.
My respect for Karrigan increased after this video. These players are really great individually but Karrigan has more experience and giving some peek information.
