    Both trucks are awesome but I think people forget what makes a Tacoma a Tacoma. It’s not the engine or the tires or the suspension… it’s the quintessential round glove box lock that has NEVER changed. Hope they never do

    Let's face it. They're both GORGEOUS. I'm really leaning towards the '24 though. Probably because I already have an '18 Sport which I love and won't trade in, but am looking to getting a '24 one to add to my collection, which would bring me up to a whopping ...... two. LOL. Seriously - I just retired, will be 66 in less than two months, and I can't take it with me, right? I have a feeling the new ones in just about ANY trim will be high in demand though, and possibly hard to come by. At least for a while.

    I think I’m gonna just hold out for the 2024 TRD Pro with all of the updates it’s hard to resist such an amazing truck either way! To me they’ve just nailed it with the redesign in 2024 and all the bells and whistles to be offered my only apprehension is the limited leg room in the rear seat due to the design of the new bulky front seats and seeing there is no way to recline the drivers seats due to the air suspension in the seats definitely is a mention to consider as both cons. Otherwise they’ve really gone above and beyond IMO from design detail down to ever tech capability I would want, ventilated seats, HD rear view mirro, overhead 3D panoramic camera views, red camo seats, the larger media console display, and adaptive cruise with park sensing really captured it for me.

    What does the rear floor area look like with rear seat folded up/down? Trying to justify moving down from a Ford f150 but we like the flat open floor to stack our weekend travel duffel bags, etc., with seat back folded spout of way.

    I love my 22 TRD Sport i am a naturally aspirated kind of guy. Never been a fan of turbos. Before anyone comments it has nothing to do with any doubt in quality. It is a Toyota after all and they have a good track record of testing before release. I will say the 24 interior seems a bit more roomy. Thanks for the video Jeff.

    • @mikepetrilli4686
      @mikepetrilli4686 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      "All and they have a good track record of testing before release" really! For the longest time Tacoma's were rust buckets! Model Year 2005-2010 Toyota Tacoma, 2007-2008 Toyota Tundra, or 2005-2008 Toyota Sequoia vehicles all had major rust problems. In fact owners filed a class-action lawsuit that Toyota failed to provide adequate rust-corrosion protection for Tacoma’s frame. Toyota knew of rust corrosion problems in Tacoma, but avoided disclosing them to customers....that's their great "track record" 🤣🤣🤣 Not to mention that the current generation Tacoma is probably 10 years past its best before date as evidenced my poor gas millage and the most uncomfortable seating position in the automotive industry!

    If it were coming with a supercharger, I’d be in. For me, to get torque on a turbo you have to rev to spool it and then it surges. Very efficient and good for track and street, but not great for me how I off-road. I prefer the torque band to
    be more predictable and linear. Got a ‘23 specifically because of that change. Could be I’m just not experienced enough in that setup and could possibly learn to love it, but meh..

      It's a Hybrid powertrain so it has an electric motor as-well as the turbo. It has 465TQ thats +200 over the V6 it will smoke any other Tacoma. Def trading in my 2019 TRD PRO for this one!!

      Just a heads up, the Imax hybrid makes its max torque at 1700 rpm (roughly 1k over idle) also the non hybrid (Not the SR or SR5 motor as I am not sure about those) also has 1700 RPM for max torque. It should work well. YMMV.

    Initially I was very disappointed in Toyota in general, I almost bought a 2022 trd pro but was very disappointed with the pro package, basically the pro package is 100% waste of money if you’re going to build it, right off the bat the gears are highway gears and the tires are very small, so any increase in tire diameter you’ll have to re gear it$$ and then you will have to lift it a few inches because the wheel wells are too small… and change the suspension $$$ this is costing a lot already, but the 2024 comes with 33” tires, surprisingly the suspension flexes good on the 2024, better than the Chevy Colorado.. although I’m not a big fan of the 18” wheels, they should be a maximum of 17” with only 33” tall,, I’d never buy a hybrid but the gas motor is relatively fuel efficient, unlike the previous v-6, it consumed as much fuel as a 1500, not great at all, the axles could be stronger, on tfl truck when they took it on a dirt road a civic could drive on they were spinning on snow and some thing broke in the front drivetrain, I’m not impressed yet, once Toyota beefs up the front and rear drivetrain and increase front suspension travel I’d buy one.

      @sammyjammy6647 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Why would you want to V6 engine when they’re producing a far better engine for the 2024? The numbers for the iforce max engine on the 2024 is 326 hp and 465 foot pounds of torque. And that’s torque comes in low at 1700 RPM. the V6 engine on the 2023 has 265 pounds of torque. The easy math is you’re getting 200 more pounds of torque with the 2024. And you’re getting an eight speed automatic versus a six speed automatic in the 2023. And you know that in the 2023, the six speed does a lot of gear hunting.
