They were coming at our boat with a rowboat and a megakeg, I managed to shoot to the keg with the cannon, the explosion was amazing, unfortunatelly none of us clipped that
a way to boost your allegiance even more is to use a emissary (wow so original) but also, if your willing to risk it, you can take treasure on board for the loot stacking bonus. Good Luck!
@@lynic-0091 you have to get a certain level in the servants of the flame by selling at reapers outpost and then you can raise one at any outpost by finding the reapers table (there’s a annoying skeleton there that says nonsense to you so it’s easily findable)
Ima be real this strat looks very ineffective waiting for people to dive on you takes way to long one thing you could do tho is after you get dived on lower the hourglass and reraise that way you dont gotta wait for 20 mins till you can be dived on
Absolutely! If you do want to try this, definitely lower your hourglass and raise it again after every sink! Otherwise you'll have to wait for someone to leave the server and hope to get invaded before the empty ship slot gets filled up.

is this incredibly effecient. No. is it incredibly funny. Most definitley. Also due to the reliability (or whatever you wanna call it) of this strat, it may be wise to build up a faction stash, that way each of these occasional sinks is significantly more rewarding.
You aren't wrong, but there are two problems I see with this: 1) Getting loot is adding even more time to an already long setup (waiting for an invasion can take 1h or even longer, if you are unlucky) 2) I forgot to mention it in my guide, but you want to lower and re-raise your HG after every fight, to get faster invasions. As far as I am aware that loses your stash. If you plan on defending normally and ending your session with a little keg play, that might be a viable option though. :D
Hourglass is dominated by the tiny fraction of crews that are incredibly skilled at PvP. If you want to actually _win_ against them you must either spend hundreds of hours grinding, or find some way to cheese the battle.
this is a very stupid strat. I'm playing hourglass to have actual fights, and not to try to shoot a ship that's literally inside of an outpost. if people start using this, hourglass fights will be even worse than they are rn
Make sure to angle and fully drop your sails so you have some speed to begin with. Sometimes you need to pull with the harpoon for a couple of seconds before your ship actually gets forced over the wood. I got pretty lucky in the clip. If all that doesn't work, your ship is probably just at a bad angle. Raise the sail, let it drift away for a bit and turn it a bit. Best of luck!
Seems funny but hilarious. Those of us like me and whoever else just saw this for the first time will be on the lookout for rowboats if we spawn in a fight at Dagger Tooth and look for any funny sloop business. Whats next? Getting a fight at Morrows Peak Outpost to find that the opposing ship is stuck atop the volcano with no way to sink them and let their ship despawn while you avoid getting kegged?
When i started and got sunk i got rep i wanted to see if i could get to 100 by losing and the next battle i also got rep i havent tried it since but i do wonder if i can just do that Lol
You definitely can and someone on Reddit did it. Took them 1400 matches, 1300 of which were losses. They got 100 wins because other rolled dice or tried losing even harder then them. Those 100 wins account for roughly 50% of the xp gained. Would not recommend. :D
I just tried it and it worked for me. Fully drop your sail and once you ram into the wood, just keep pulling with the harpoon. It will eventually force you in there

maybe this could be how I finally get a win despite my contract with the lil demon on my shoulder that only allows me to do solo brig, solo galleon, duo galleon, 5 person rowboat, and googolplex person barrel floating in the water.
I understand that there are players like this who will refuse to PvP properly, even when the game literally tells you to do so with hourglass. What’s laughable to me is that they will go to such efforts to do something as intricate and inefficient as this. Granted, for getting wins without having to fight properly you have done a good job, but if you’re smart and determined enough to do something like this, surely you’re smart and determined enough to actually get good at PvP? Crazy to me lol. This method literally relies on invasions only which results in 2-3 fights every hour at the very very most

In fairness this can also come from bouts of boredom _with_ normal PVP. I'm not amazing at PVP by any stretch of the imagination but I would say I'm good enough to handle most encounters unless I'm just hopelessly outmanned/outgunned. And even then this seems like something I'd do for the fun of it. There's a certain novelty to crazy strategies like these.
