  • What keeps the OCD cycle fuelled and locked on, why we can just “relabel” OCD thoughts in most cases to get relief and how to get under OCD when it’s latched for long term relief.

Your explanations are as clear as your voice ! I resonate with many things that you said, mainly, I realize that I first need to completely face the fear before becoming immune to that fear. I have actually stopped thinking as much as possible, so I am left with a very physical feeling of anxiety. I have learnt whatever I have learnt on TH-cam from people like yourself and I am very grateful for that. It would be awesome if I could be added to one of your whatsapp groups. I don’t have an OCD specialist. I am seeing a psychologist who does not specialize in OCD, while trying to navigate the waters

I had OCD when I was a kid, I didn't know it at the time and I just had to do certain things certain ways to stop that bad thing from happening. I grew out of it, I also may grow back into it. We never know the hands we're dealt.

in your perspective how treatment of ptsd differs from ocd....quite often they can present with similar symptoms and features ??

Both are anxiety based disorders and while the approach might vary, a lot of it may be quite similar too.

Hey there, I have had this some years ago. I know it’s a horrible fear. You really have to understand OCD. It makes you afraid of something and you get stuck. So you Focus SO much on something that you are almost searching for the Schizophrenia symptoms. You have to refuse reaction. Try to ignore the fear of it and live your life. I know it’s hard, but I swear you will NOT be wrong. It’s just OCD.
