- Completed the retrofit of these Illuminated Door Sills on my 2016 Silverado LT Truck. These door sills are sold for Tahoe/Suburban models in the same range years. Enjoy!
P Gamboa is legit! I bought a wiring harness from him to install tow mirrows with spot lights and turn signals and what he sent me worked flawless. Still working strong 6+ years now. Thank you sir. I'm thinking about getting these illuminated door sills now!
Phil Gamboa, the video is right on the money. I completed the install of the Illuminated Door Sills on my 2016 Silverado LTZ Truck 10.12.2018. I used Part# 22933515 - Cocoa.

It would be nice if you could wire them to come on when the doors are open interested of having them only come on with the dome light.
Isn't there a setting on dome lights that allow them to turn on only when the doors are open? Effectively making the sill lights only come on when the doors are open.

Yes. Trucks from 14-18 are the same fitment.
in the caddilacs there on when the running lights on they never have them hooked up to the cargo lights

I just got a 2014 Silverado LT (Z71) with leather interior that I would really like to do some upgrades to. I noticed that you've done quite a few upgrades to your '16, and I wonder, with all the parts you've changed/bought, how much have you spent? (And roughly, which parts have you changed?)
I'm interested in these door Sills for my 2018 crew cab Chevy Silverado. But I would be looking for red illumination... is that possible.

Have a 17 High Country do they make one for them with High Country on them? Also the GM liners I have are covering the sills
I have heard/seen them for HC. For the liners, you can trim them to expose the LEDs. GM thought of this and have instructions for trimming them.
Hey Phil quick question, will these still light up when I open the door IF I HAVE MY DOME LIGHT SWITCH ON THE "OFF" POSITION?,

Exactly the same. When i made the video, we were only to 2017 :) It will also fit 2019 LD trim (carryover body styles) and 2019 2500/3500HD trucks that have the same body style.

I'm looking at the '17 and '18 models. Has anyone had any issues with this truck? I really like the style of this model. I've read a lot about the shifting problems, and the V4 to V8 mode.

Of course it will say "Not compatible". :) This is how I show you to make them compatible. They will will if you get the same part #. Tahoe/Suburban door sills are the same, physically.

I have not seen any illuminated sills that specifically say "High Country" or "Denali". Just "Chevrolet" and "GMC"

I went to buy this product Part# 22933515 - Cocoa. The description of this part at every vendor I could think of says it doesn't fit a 2017 Chevy. The title of your video says 2014-2017. Where did you buy these for a 2014- 2017? I love these things.
A few things...When I did this, 2018 trucks weren't out yet. All door sills from are the same from 2014 - 2018.

For the bcm to get the grey wire out
Gotcha, so at 4:55 in the video... use a small flat blade screwdriver to lift the white tab (TPA - Terminal Position Assurance) up. Then, using a pick tool from the front, there is another tab/lever that you have to lift/move while gently pulling the wire out.
It's a two step process. lift the white tab, then release the slot lever while pulling the wire out.

Be very careful when messing with those wire channels... especially if it's dark. I was running a 0 gauge power wire to my amp in the rear of the cab and found out just how flimsy they can be. I ended up damaging some of the tabs on the rear door one. It was probably because of many factors like it is almost impossible to cram that large of power wire in there... but it can be done. I didn't want to have to remove seats to make it look clean and usually you'd just run it under the carpet right there but they have these plastic channels which hinders the capabilities. I'm just saying... be careful and make sure when reinstalling that everything is lined up before trying to push tabs back into place.

I dont really use my dome lights so I keep the switch on the "off" position , can I still have these light up ?
I did this upgrade on mine yesterday and they look awesome but unfortunately if you have your lights on the off position, the sills will not turn on
If you found a hot wire other than the dome light wire, yes, but that might not be without its own problems.

Shawn Laskowski I bought some black hub caps to match some black honeycomb replica rims I bought for my truck and the part number of the caps I bought are different from the part number of the OEM chrome caps. Simple color differentiation will change the part number so I’m guessing the a “GMC” sill would be a different part than a “Chevrolet” sill
