That music playing when Hit-Girl infiltrated the villain's lair comes from _For a Few Dollars More_ (1965). It was composed by the legendary Ennio Morricone, and this movie, which helped make Clint Eastwood a superstar, is part of the "Man With No Name" trilogy of spaghetti westerns. The other two movies are _A Fistful of Dollars_ (1964) and _The Good, the Bad and the Ugly_ (1966). One or more of the _Kill Bill_ movies referenced it, too, but that's not where the music comes from, and it's not Tarantino music, just some iconic music he sampled, like what was done in this movie.
the young kid girl actress (Chloë Grace Moretz) that plays hit girl, is the teen girl in Equalizer (1), that danzel washingston's character saves and gets revenge/justice for her, as soon as you see her in Equalizer, you'll recognize her as hit girl, as she's got the same mannerisms and etc (it's only 4 years from kickass 1 to equalizer 1, but still, it's crazy how she acts, mannerisms, behaviors, and etc, the same as she did as a kid girl in kickass 1), she's really an amazing actress
They nailed the tone of this. Not quite a comedy, not quite an action. The actors go between being genuine and serious about something, to joking and it never feels out of place. I wish there were more movies like this.
I agree. I loved this movie when it came out; the humor, action, overall tone was perfect for me as well. It really seemed like a breath of fresh air as I couldn't really place a recent movie (at the time) that gave me the same irreverent vibe, while being so fun to watch.
There's so much stuff I like about this movie. I don't know what it is, but it just has a lot of heart. I care deeply about the characters, more than other similar movies. I love how the silliness of the plot is juxtaposed by how realistic life consequences are, how 10 seconds into his first fight, he was stabbed, just how it would've went down in real life. This immediately frames the silliness of the plot as just the naivety and innocence of the main character instead. I also like how genuinely bad the villains are, they feel really cruel when they're in action. And I felt like crying at scenes between Hit Girl and Big Daddy in the third act. This movie packs a much heavier punch than it's supposed to, and I love it.
Wow, almost at 200k subs..! 😮 I remember watching your (Ash's) reactions to 300 and Troy very, VERY early in the channel's history - with your sister at that point - and there were literally 900 subs at that time, the first time. 🥰

I loved watching the director's commentary for this movie. He was talking about being so nervous about so many things and how people would react to it during the first big screening it had. He thought he'd completely lose the crowd over the jetpack because it was too ridiculous and it'd ruin the whole movie for people, so he made sure that the scenes right after were more "heroic" or upbeat and the crowd would love it. Lo and behold, the crowd cheered the loudest when dave grabbed her boobs when he revealed he was kickass. Defused his worries all together.

funny you mention it Ash. people have theorized that they'll do a Ballerina spin off of john wick (from john wick 3) and that chloe grace moretz would be the dreamcast for it cause of this movie.
13:50 What she had is a balisong or 'butterfly knife' which is illegal in every Commonwealth country including yours as well as several US states. When folded, they can rest easily in your pocket and be out and locked open in about the time it takes to pull it out, making it far faster than any other folded blade other than a switchblade. It's fairly easy to build up muscle memory to where you can use one effectively and their concealability makes them incredibly useful.
I agree that this movie has some things to say, both about the complacency of society and what it means to be heroic, as well. In some ways, it is low-key one of the best superhero movies I've seen.

I have been having a hard time just in life lately and I can honestly say that watching both of your reactions to movies I love has been giving me a bit of hope back, I love how funny you both are are just great! Thank you for being you and know that im sure you bring some happiness in peoples lives, so thank you again
This movie is just good fun. The action scenes are suprisingly good even if a bit silly. Moretz is a fucking beast in this, she also really learned the butterfly knife tricks.
That lisps comment is probably the wildest thing I think I’ve ever heard Ash say… Jesus, lol…
ONE second in and she comes in with GORGEOUS hair and a beautiful voice and you don’t think I’m going to SMASH the like button?!? Also singing one of my favorite songs from one of my fave bands. I literally raced to the like button. Keep it up guys!! ❤
Hannah can definitely sing.
I saw this in the theater with my son and my sisters kids, the crowd was going crazy! So much fun, your reaction did not disappoint. 😁🙌
Hannah you should do "South Park" reactions. Come on. It would be something different. A comedy show. The best show ever.
Bigger longer and uncut!
@gregkrueger331 Yea but just seeing these two do regular South Park episodes would be great. Since Hannah does shows on her channel.
This was an absolute delight. There's so much I could've mentioned about the movie, about Hannah's son or your reaction, but nah.
Absolute delight.
I went to highschool with Chloe Grace Moretz's Girlfriend. It's weird revisiting this movie because we were Freshman in college when this movie came out and Chloe was still a little girl lol
Great reaction... You know what's better than this movie? LOST and actually understanding the ending. 😊
Hit girl really is amazing. Considering the brutality of her skill and her young age should put her up there with the best to ever do it.
lol that “shut up Ash” at 30:24
She was living in that vicariously 😂
funny you mention it Ash. people have theorized that they'll do a Ballerina spin off of john wick (from john wick 3) and that chloe grace moretz would be the dreamcast for it cause of this movie.
Lost didn't have a terrible ending, just saying.
You're obviously trolling 😂
@@Chaos_IsMyGift What was terrible about it?
When Hannah was singing in the intro, my brother walked by and said wow she’s really talented Can I hear that again?
An underrated superhero film, which actually includes both of the quicksilvers from the X-Men and the marvel universe.
Yea kick ass played quicksilver in marvel
The Bad guy in this, Frank Demicko (or however it is spelled) was also Melin in the Kingsman movies.
I love the fact that in England "geezer" means just a dude but in America it means an old person
Great reaction. Mark Strong (who plays the villain) is a.great actor.and you NEED to react to him in Rocknrolla
I agree that this movie has some things to say, both about the complacency of society and what it means to be heroic, as well. In some ways, it is low-key one of the best superhero movies I've seen.
*If you are not in the financial market space right now, you are making a huge mistake. I understand that it could be due to ignorance, but if you want to make your money work for you.... prevent inflation*
Right, the role of adisors can only be overlooked but not denied. I got financially free at the age of 49 with over $1.6m in investment account alone. I was shocked that I made more money with money than with hard work, even my CEO income. Earning "return on investment" makes me more happy. (But I still enjoy working)
Spot on. The market presents different. opportunities to create passive Income, with the right skill and proper understanding you're good to go.
You're right, the best time to buy in the market is when there's fear. A huge part of my growth has also come during this bear market. This year alone, I have scaled from 180k to over 354k.
How were you able to make that much?
Seems like I'm not lucky enough.

That's Yancy Butler from "Hard Target. She was something back in the day. She did a show in the early 90's called "Mann and Machine. She was perfect.
