The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This is an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

I'd love to be able to talk to public like this. Something like love is beyond scienctific understanding. Love isn't something you can just create in a lab. Computers, can't love, a mixture of chemicals in a test tube cannnot love. Love has to come from a mind. Simply God has given us the ability to love one another. Not everyone will see it this way , but definitely, I can understand that everything has order and design. Clearly pointing to an intelligence. God being the most obvious answer.

I learned recently that he was quoting Psalm 22, which was written ~1000 years before the crucifixion. All of the Jews watching the events at the cross unfold would known it. It is a matter of him identifying as the righteous sufferer in the beginning of the psalm, who is ultimately vindicated by God at the end.

Here’s the thing. God is perfect, He cannot let sin go unpunished. He wanted to create us, because He seen us in the future as if He already created us, and fell in love with us. Here was the dilemma = He seen we were not going to live perfect, so He had to choose, either make us like robots, where we wouldn’t sin, (but then how do you love a toaster and how can a toaster love you back, and how can you have a meaningful relationship with a toaster. Or, make us with a free will, able to sin, but also able to have a meaningful relationship and to love. Or not make us at all. He already fell in love with us, so to Him, not making us was no good for Him, because He loved us, making us robots were no good for Him. Making us with a free will, even though we we’re going to sin, was the best choice for everyone; and He knew how to fix the situation. Because He is a good Judge, He’d have to punish sin, but also wanted to show us mercy, He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross to pay for our sin, then rose from the dead on the third day. So He did what was just, and also gave us mercy. (There’s also technical reasons. He had to become a man, so 100% God & 100% human, in order to be able to get back the deed for earth. Because Adam gave up the deed to the devil. It’s a long story. Bible times in Israel, a person had a deed (a scroll). It was only written on one side (the inside) then sealed with one seal. Let’s say the guy borrowed money and put up his deed, then couldn’t pay it. He lost that property. But they would have a loophole to help that person, so they wouldn’t lose their property. They would give that person 7 years to get back on his feet and pay off the loan and get his deed back. The rules were written on the back of the deed (scroll) then sealed with 7 seals. I assume with God, He gets 7, 000 years instead of 7 years. In revelations, an angel shouts who is worthy to open the scroll with the 7 seals. Jesus walks over (because He is worthy). Technical stuff, pretty cool though. ) :)
Jesus was the lamb of God. That is way Christ came to lay His life down for us, because we could never fulfill the laws. Why were the laws given. Here is what the Word tells us about that.

I have had alot of reasons to doubt GOD with my Wife's medical problems but God is Faithful & I truly Trust The LORD JESUS will bless Her health & continue too humble me use me to help others . I spent 30 years as a self loving hatefilled man who cared only for myself but God called me back 6 months ago & has rebuilt my Marriage & given us Hope, Joy, & Peace.
I just love his line of arguments. Secularist and atheists think they are smarter than Bible believers. Makes very strong arguments and always takes down the hollow arguments of the students. Very often the secularist think they only operate in reason and logic but fail to acknowledge the false auumptions upon which their secular faith is based. I strong hold the opinion that every rational being has a particular worldview. That worldview is your faith or religion.
I have been watching these for a month now. I do enjoy the conversations both spiritually and intellectually. However I'm really interested in the outcome of the conversations and don't get that with these videos cutting out at the end. I enjoy long format conversations and would enjoy seeing how both sides concluded the topics. Hopefully in the future we can see a less edited and more complete conversation.

When his sheep hear the gospel they hear the word of God because they are written in the book of life from the beginning. When the wicked hear the gospel it is gibberish to them. They cannot hear and understand. Repent. Turn to Jesus and follow in all his commands and you will be saved. Not enough to just believe. Satan and demons believe. I put the moral problem differently:
If you come up with a moral code and I come up with one and they contradict and neither of us is willing to compromise, how do we resolve this conflict?
The only logical answer is to appeal to a higher moral code that transcends yours and mine.
But the nature of materialism/atheism is that it denies there is such a code. Therefore we are left in a moral Tower of Babel where right and wrong are determined not by the merits but by who wins the war.
The only rational response is despair.
Next question about Jesus saying ... My God my God , why have you forsaken me .....
This is easy to understand when you read Psalms 22 , it declares and describes the suffering of the Messiah .... He was repeating those words because the "Pharisees" and "High Priest" where present , they knew scriptures like we know John 3:16 , so it was a "direct" quote for them to remember those verses in Psalms..
He / Jesus , never "felt allienated from the Father" ...

God's standard is HIS standard....and a standard we must have to be in His presence and to have eternal fellowship. We can't meet that sinless perfect standard, but Christ can and did....and His righteousness can be ours by accepting Christ.

Just as man did not know what they were doing when they crucified Jesus, so man does not know how terrible it is in Hell! No one wants to be there, neither fallen angels/demons or humans! But people can talk and act tough, as if the day of reckoning cannot touch them, this despite the fact that no one will escape that Day! ✝ No matter what place you end up in, it will be forever!

Cliff, The Bible does not talk about Alienation but eternal damnation. for those who die outside Christ.
I like what Cliffe is talking about but I believe the man who was asking about living up to a certain standard was asking something more theological but is also relational.
When we do what John 3:16 tells us to do in order be right with God we are made just in his eyes (justification). After we are justified, we have to DIE to self (die to our flesh) and walk more like Jesus every. single. day. (Sanctification).
However!!!! We will never be fully restored and where God had intended us to be (just like JESUS) until we have died and gone to be with the Lord and that is glorification. When we are GLORIFIED and are fully transformed to do what God intended for us to do in the first place and then be away from sin and with God and Jesus forever.
10:30 He asks "Why would God set up a standard we aren't able to live up to?" God did not set up a standard we are unable to live up to. When God created Adam and Eve, the first man and woman, he gave them a command to obey and told them the penalty for disobedience was death. They had both the free will and ability to choose to either obey God or not. They willfully chose to disobey God. They were fully capable of living up to God's standard, but they chose not to.

These students do not realize that they actually believe in God, but are suppressing the knowledge (Romans 1). The reason why they even have "feeling to do good" is because of God and how He made us in His image. Hell isn't exactly separation from God- He's there in His wrath, and that's a constant reminder - His wrath abides there and the flames burn because of His righteousness.

Jesus talks about hell more than he talks about heaven, and describes it more vividly. There’s no denying that Jesus knew, believed, and warned against the absolute reality of hell.
Jesus doesn’t only reference hell, he describes it in great detail. He says it is a place of eternal torment (Luke 16:23), of unquenchable fire (Mark 9:43), where the worm does not die (Mark 9:48), where people will gnash their teeth in anguish and regret (Matt. 13:42), and from which there is no return, even to warn loved ones (Luke 16:19-31). He calls hell a place of “outer darkness” (Matt. 25:30), comparing it to “Gehenna” (Matt. 10:28), which was a trash dump outside the walls of Jerusalem where rubbish was burned and maggots abounded.
